Hey everybody! I just had a great idea this morning and thought maybe everyone would like to help me practice?

Anyways, my family runs a flower shop, so I'm pretty good at making arrangements and stuff like that. And the ships could really use some kind of, I don't know, organic decor, you know?

The plant life here is a bit limited, so there's only so much to work with, but --

[ She turns the camera to face a table in the Three Twins, which now proudly features something like this ]

Did you leave the gemstones there?

[ Last time she was given a gem it got everyone really sick so ... ]

Yeah. I know the set up was fake, but I'm pretty sure you're just asking for it if you pick mysterious stones up in mysterious chests. Plastic or not.

Okay, good. [ Thank you, Manolo, for being a smart wooden Mexican Naruto. ]

The last time we picked up some gems on a planet they made everyone sick for a little while.

[Now Joaquin, on the other hand, he would have taken ALL THE STONES. ]

...What sort of sick are we talking about?

Like a nasty cold, I guess. It went away after awhile, thankfully, but it was seriously gross.

Huh. So long as everyone is okay.

Really glad I left them alone, now.

Yeah, everyone is fine now! It wasn't life-threatening, just annoying.

That's why I asked ... [ A sheepish laugh ]

That's good, at least.

[He chuckles. ] I promise I'm not the type to pick up anything that looks even a tiny bit shady.

[ That gets a small laugh ]

It almost sounds like you have experience with that type of thing.

Yeaaah. I was one of the subjects of a bet between two death gods.

Turns out one of them cheats when he doesn't get his way.

Wow. That's ... intense? What was the bet?

Which one of us would marry the girl we both loved.

She accepted my proposal, and he sent his snake to kill me. [That's...not completely true, but he's not willing to tell the real story to anyone. ]

What an asshole!

YEAH!

[See, he is capable of anger. Or at least...mild annoyance. Anger is reserved for the god himself.]

And then I had to go through a whole bunch of trials to return back to life! All because he didn't want to lose a stupid bet.

Wait -- so you did die?! And then came back to life??

Yes, I died. When I was brought here, I'd just been returned to life, I was going back to the Land of the Living.

[And Atroma was RUDE and ruined everything. ]

[ Oh ... poor Manolo. :( She frowns sympathetically ]

I'm sorry. [ No wonder he's so jazzed to get out of here ]

[He gives a small smile. It doesn't quite reach his usual beam, but it's an attempt, all the same. ]

It's okay. I just need to work out a way to get back.
