she swings her legs over the edge of the bunk, grabbing at her communicator and squinting a little at the screen. her memories felt foggy, and nothing about that was pleasant. ]

Hello? Um - it's Katara. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that the Castle's behind this?

[ she sounds vaguely hopeful, but- no, katara, no. you are blaming the wrong jamjar. please try again. ]

[Oh hey that's a familiar voice. And a mention of a castle too! Those two things distract him enough that he is totally forgetting he never mentioned to Sokka that he knew his sister. ]

[ there's a weird sort of relief on her face here, because something about this whole situation just isn't lining up like it should. it doesn't feel like the castle's magic, but what else could it be? ]

[Beverly can't help but hear Sokka's yelling, even from the labs. She comes running in.]

[He doesn't seem hurt. Just...excited, ok no, freaking out. ]

[She sucks in a sharp breath at that. If Sokka's sister is here, and Cole and Chris are together, then maybe, just maybe... but no, that's selfish. She shouldn't wish for anyone else to get stuck here.]

[Not quite sure what else to say. Half of her wants to express happiness for him, the other half wants to commiserate.]

[Sokka only partially listens to newbies arriving. It's usually the same song and dance of where am, what am I doing here, how do I get back, blah blah blah. He doesn't have the patience to keep dealing with it all the time. But that voice, that voice makes him pay attention.

[There's a crash of him falling into whatever he's building at the moment, as he scrambles for his communicator. There's a faint 'ow', before he picked it up, pressing his face to the screen. IT IS HER!!! ]

[ katara's face brightens instantly, because - okay, well, she doesn't love the fact that either of them have been kidnapped by some mysterious force again, but if it's going to happen? they might as well be together.

[He looks so stupidly happy. If he can't get home, at least if his loved ones can be here he knows they're safe. ]

I'm fine! I mean- uh my leg was broken, but that was creepily fixed when I got here. Everything is in working order.

[ she winces visibly, trying to piece together the story on her own as much as she can. his leg was broken? timelines didn't sync up in paradisa, either, and if that was still the case here- ]

From the attack on the Fire Nation? Is that what was happening when you came here?

Yeah. We were on the airship. Me and Toph were kinda... in a bad place. I'm like eighty per cent sure we're about to die, or something.

[Sokka that is not helpful or comforting in any way at all. ]

Mmhmm. Well - Paradisa? It was a castle. And, um, also a town, I guess, but we mostly lived in the castle.

It was a really crazy place, but... you sort of got used to it. You have to.

[ she glances from side to side then, puffing her cheeks out in thought. ]
