[ the bunk itself might be unfamiliar, but waking in an unfamiliar place isn't - not with as much time as she'd spent trying to manage herself in paradisa, at least. she frowns a little, trying to make sense of the new knowledge she has access to.
ugh.
she swings her legs over the edge of the bunk, grabbing at her communicator and squinting a little at the screen. her memories felt foggy, and nothing about that was pleasant. ]

And ah...did you ever watch a movie in Paradisa? Or a TV show? Reality shows are apparently...sort of like that.

[ she takes a breath, holds it, and then, with a little frown: ]
I know a lot of stuff I shouldn't. [ and even knowing why doesn't make the feeling any less weird. ] How long have you been here?

[ katara's voice is soft and full of helpless exasperation. ]
But - at least we're not alone, I guess. Ugh, it's so weird- it feels like everything happened a thousand years ago and yesterday at the same time.

[Some memories were so vivid in his mind, while others- felt so far away. So fuzzy. It was...beyond strange]
But at least you remember things! I've seen familiar faces here, but a lot of them don't remember anything about the castle. So it's nice to not sound insane.

[ she means none of it. really, she's just trying to figure out if there's a way to - well, get to his ship right now. this video thing is an incredible improvement over the functionality of the journals, but it's not nearly the same thing as seeing someone in person. ]

He's been alright. He works hard to be a good captain and look after us. I'd say he's one of the better captains in the fleet.
I do think he's missed home though, and all of you. So...it's good that you're here.

I remember what it was like, being there without him. I mean, I wish I was home, but - I'm glad to finally be here, if he is.
