The party goes on well into the night with no sign of slowing. It’s very late into the night before there’s a good opening to slip away without notice. But eventually the opportunity finally comes, and hopefully before you’ve had too many visits to the open bar.

But for anyone who came to the party with the intention to take part in the heist, it’s time to get down to business.

[Natasha can believe that. For a spy, Peggy isn't always the most subtle. She's a good match for Rogers that way.]

Let's get in and out before anything else has the chance to piss you off.

[ odd as it may be to others, she prefers to save her subtlety for being undercover. and, even then, subtlety isn't always the watchword.

peggy cracks a heel down on the recently downed droid, eager to destroy its robot brain. ]

What are the chances the that disabling the tech will bring some notice down on us, hm?

Hard to say, considering I don't know the tech. Back home? I'd be shocked if they didn't know the second these were down.

People are easier that way.

[Less likely to be wired to silent alarms.]

We'll just have to be faster than the back up.

[ and accepted. peggy's pace picks up, striding towards the far fork in the path. where: ] Left or right?

Left. [The layout down here makes it hard to say for sure, but if Natasha's sense of where they're probably going is correct (it might not be), then it makes the most sense. And they'll be better of making a quick decision than drawing this out.]

[ left it is. peggy might be bullheaded, but she doesn't mind a bit of collaborative decision-making now that they're in the thick of it together. it helps, of course, that she respects the woman.

ahead of them stretches a measure of hallway that (at first glance) seems rather empty. peggy's stride slows -- just a little, just enough to be cautious. ]

I suppose we can comfortably assume there is something to be stolen somewhere down here. [ why guard it, otherwise? ] Let's hope it's worth our time.
