EVENT MINGLE | The Heist
Who: Anyone taking part in the heist
Broadcast: N/A
Action: Orfwyn Dreadhorse’s personal underground complex
When: May 12th - 13th
The party goes on well into the night with no sign of slowing. It’s very late into the night before there’s a good opening to slip away without notice. But eventually the opportunity finally comes, and hopefully before you’ve had too many visits to the open bar.
But for anyone who came to the party with the intention to take part in the heist, it’s time to get down to business.
-----------
This is the mingle for the heist! If you have any questions, head over to the OOC post.
If you're looking just to dance, the ball can be found here!

Sneaking out of the Party
If you’re here to help, meet us by the racetrack. Be discreet.
[This seems to be as good a signal as any, so what now? Do you try to head out there discreetly? Inform other passengers the message you go? Stay at the party and keep on guard for any suspicious activity?]

When the message comes through, he glances at his comm and stills completely, shifting from bored and irritated to calm and goal-oriented. Slipping the device back into his pocket, he starts meandering in the direction of the racetrack. He'll make eye contact with anyone he runs across, silently trying to assess whether they're headed for the same place he is.]

Re: Sneaking out of the Party
So by the time the signal comes, he plays a very convincing 'I am going to now vomit all over you' to get out without anyone being any of the wiser.]
Secret Tunnel
When enough people have gathered, it’s time to get to work. As it turns out, some those shrubs were covering a secret entrance: round, sunken into the ground, and about the size of a typical sewer manhole. After a brief ladder climb down, everyone will find themselves in a rather long underground tunnel, carved into the natural bedrock. It’s dimly lit and almost impossibly long, so have fun with that walk. ]

She's looking into what looks like a compact makeup mirror when the Fleeters approach, glancing up with a single, firm nod before snapping it shit and slipping it into her black clutch. ]

'Bout time ya showed up. The rest o' yer mates chickened out, eh?

The Labyrinth
However, as you travel down each pathway, you’ll find that they are rigged with different security measures. Some pathways have security drones patrolling the halls, while others might have human guards - no matter what sort of guard your group comes across, they’ll have to be dealt with one way or another… so, how will you do it? Hallways that don’t have guards do have another type of security: lasers! Careful where you step, be sure to duck or jump as necessary! Just how flexible are you, fleeters? Or if you got some hacking skills, maybe you can break open a panel and get the security grid down. ]
((OOC: Feel free to pick and choose which guards or obstacles your group might come across, and play it out as you wish! But beware: The mods just might also drop in with an unexpected surprise or two~ And of course, if you absolutely do not want any mod surprises or intervention, just say so in your thread. ))

By the time he's done clearing the way (which it isn't long), the jacket of his suit is already torn up. He takes it off without a care and throws it on the ground, loosening the knot of his tie too as he speaks with a rather serious tone.]
I wonder if it is wise to split up.

Don't stand behind me. [Because she won't be blocking any fire. She continues moving forward despite any indications she should stop. Bullets pass through her harmlessly and then she passes through the robotic guard harmfully—frying out it's circuits in the process. It can probably be salvaged, but it won't be firing on anyone at the moment.] Guess I picked the easy path.

The Lab
All paths eventually converge on one singular room: a massive laboratory, filled with computers and equipment that would put even top tier government operations to shame. There is a lot of information hidden in these depths.
Systematically checking each terminal will give anyone curious all sorts of interesting facts, be they system-related, trade-related, or Atroma-related... Perhaps you should take some notes? Swipe some of the data onto your personal device for later investigations?
There are two terminals that stand out: one in the far right of the room, a messy desk area that sports a monitor with so many programs and tasks open, it’s a wonder its owner gets any actual work done! The topmost display mentions something about ship improvements... that might be worth snagging.
The other terminal, almost centermost against the back wall, is massive. It even hosts its own liquid cooling system and power generator, separate from all other devices in the room - and for good reason. It won’t take much more than a glance at one of the four monitors to see that this terminal houses Top Secret AI Research and Development. Bingo. Congratulations, this is what you came for. Start downloading. ]

The Escape
-- well... um... you’re back in Mr. Dreadhorse’s mansion. In a guest room, in fact. A… very, very occupied guest room. There are many people on the bed, and most (if not all) of their fancy clothes are on the floor. … Awkward.
Well, at least you gave the guards the slip?
From here, the Interceptors part ways. They thank you for your help and take their own copy of the Atroma research back to their ships. They probably won’t linger here too much longer, but they encourage you to use the encrypted frequency if there are any emergencies.
With the heist done, you're free to go back to the party, return to your ships, or do whatever you want! Consider it a job well done! ]
