EVENT MINGLE | The Heist
Who: Anyone taking part in the heist
Broadcast: N/A
Action: Orfwyn Dreadhorse’s personal underground complex
When: May 12th - 13th
The party goes on well into the night with no sign of slowing. It’s very late into the night before there’s a good opening to slip away without notice. But eventually the opportunity finally comes, and hopefully before you’ve had too many visits to the open bar.
But for anyone who came to the party with the intention to take part in the heist, it’s time to get down to business.
-----------
This is the mingle for the heist! If you have any questions, head over to the OOC post.
If you're looking just to dance, the ball can be found here!

Voice lowered, he considers their options.]
How do you wanna deal with this? I can pin them to the ground with my ability. Or--
[Pointing up at the ceiling.]
We can get at them from up there. Ever fought upside down?
[He smirks.]
no subject
No, we don't need to hurt them, just knock them out. I've got just the thing.
[Fie reaches under her skirts and pulls out a grenade, smirking a little.] Flash grenade. It gives off a bright light with very little noise. When I give the signal, close your eyes.
[Edging towards the hallway, she pauses to look back at him.] Yep, I have fought upside down.
[Now she stays quiet, keeping an eye out for the best moment.]

[He sighs. Fighting everyone is what he wanted! No fun! On the other hand, who knew she had tricks up her, uh, skirts.
He'll keep quiet as well so he can pay attention to when she gives the signal, while also trying to grab his damn hat!]

Three... [She stands from her crouch.] Two... [And shoves him out into the open hallway with surprising strength, for him to end up right in front of the guards! They spot him immediately with a yell and begin to rush over.]
One! [That sure is a signal. From behind him, the grenade goes soaring over his head to land right at their opponents' feet with a light click and a bright flare of light, enough to cause temporary blindness and stun them for a good few moments. Since Fie's eyes were closed (or averted) and hopefully so were his, this gives them time to move.
The small girl launches from her hiding spot, placing a hand on his head to help propel herself forward as she vaults over him to boot one guard squarely in the forehead and knock him backwards sliding across the floor into the wall by the previously guarded door. While she could take the other one, Fie figures it's about time he had his fun, too.
And she wonders how long it'll take him to realize she put the hat back on his head when he was used as a human springboard.]

It was usually his thing, using someone's head to launch himself forward. The tables being turned was a weird, neat thing -- it was unusual working alongside someone smaller than him for once in his life.]
Nice!
[Impressed by Fie's moves and gotta give her credit where it's due, before she ruins it by pissing him off or something! He was sure she would.
But he can't care about that. Hell, it's his turn to have some fun and he's gonna kick the shit out of the other guard, sending them flying at a wall so hard they form a big crater. Who liked making peoples bodies so heavy they crush and break under their weight? This guy! This! This right here is his favorite part of this whole thing so far, because of course it is.
Chuuya looks a Fie with a cocky grin.]
Show me what else you can do, kid.
[Really, he's just ensuring that she's continuing to move forward alongside of him. It's too fun to stop working together now.]
no subject
That was needlessly excessive. Way too showy. [None of her words sound impressed. In fact, she actually seems somewhat disappointed. Careless.]
He'll live, but there's no guarantee he won't have side effects from that. I just hope the armor was enough...
[It wasn't what she wanted. Of course she knows there are always consequences, but if they can be avoided, she does so. Still, it was partially on her for not taking him out herself when she had the chance. Any annoyance she has is for the both of them.]
My name's Fie. Fie Claussell. And no, I won't show you what else I can do.
[Fie is in a mood right now, so there's no more finesse or playfulness when she pulls out some explosives from under her dress to attach to the door before stepping back and blowing it off its hinges. Without a word, she walks inside.]
no subject
[Of course he didn't feel bad at all, but this clearly bothered her. Apologizing over something like this wasn't going to happen; he was way too proud for that. Who knew how much longer they had to go, but it couldn't go on like this, because while being teased was annoying, it was more preferable to this.]
I'm Chuuya Nakahara. Isn't it terribly unlucky that you had to get stuck with a guy who killed for a living?
[Not that he had any idea what she used to do, but if what she's demonstrated so far says anything, it's that she, too, may know her way around a battlefield.]
There's a reason no one trusts the mafia.
[He follows behind her. He won't mention it, but he's going to, ah, maybe not do such a thing again. At least not while working with her.]
no subject
[Again she addresses him without anything but cool indifference. She goes about exploring the room, rifling through papers and drawers and anything else that might look promising. If she passes by him, there's not a word or look directed his way.
Fie's good at doing what she needs to do when she needs to do it. Presently, that's ignoring him and focusing on the job at hand. They make a decent team, but she refuses to continue that now, unwilling to spend time with someone who acts like this. Usually eliciting a reaction from people is fun, and it was with him, too.
Oh well. She's determined not to care one way or another anymore.]
no subject
It was like having an argument or fight with a friend, except that Fie isn't a friend. But somehow it left him with that same sort of feeling of knowing you disappointed someone that you shouldn't have disappointed. And perhaps unsurprisingly, that was annoying him.
Anything Fie had yet to go through, Chuuya handled it.]
Check for hidden doors too.
[He may not be a leader of any kind in this place, but breaking from his habit of giving directions was difficult. He does realize he's done this after the fact, however.]
You know, if you want to.
