You can say 'odd' or 'just plain terrible', if you like. Believe me, this one is better than the other in my gift basket. And then there's the third thing which... I am not convinced is an instrument at all and seems more a decoration.

Two more things - this...noise maker. [ He point out the vuvuzela ] Which, so far as I can tell, appears to exist simply as some sort of siren, perhaps? A warning signal?

And this. [ He holds up a triangle ] I do not know what the purpose of this is, for the sound it makes, while pretty enough, is very soft, and it only makes the one sound.

I've never seen anything like that before.

And... well, they must have had reason for leaving you all three? [Some small amount of logic must have been applied, right?]

Nor I. And ... well, I suppose they thought it would be entertaining? That... does seem to be the rationale for most of what happens here.

I suppose that is the best explanation. I'm not entirely sure it was the smartest thing Atroma could have done though.

It is the only one I can think of! And I do not think intelligence on their part factors heavily into any of this!

You'd think it should. They kidnap so many powerful people, eventually people break free and seek revenge.

That's where most people make a mistake though, thinking they can handle anything.

Well! Hopefully your gifts make more sense than mine then - although I do not know, what I am seeing so far suggests most of the gifts are ... at least a little odd.
