Hey, two questions.

Are there cameras in the bathrooms? And does anyone know a good place to start growing plants? If you have somewhere, I will gladly exchange piano lessons, fighting (and weaponry) assessment and suggestions, or some sort of favor (within reason). I'm afraid I don't really have much in way of cash right now.

Last but not least (not a question), if anyone would care to buddy up for a little good ol' fashioned exploring, then I'm your gal.

United States. Mixed climate; cool in the winter (snowy), sometimes unbearably hot in the summer. It can grow aggressively, including in the dark or in the sunlight. It's been found all over the world (extremely hot, consistently arid climates and freezing ones) and I grow some in my apartment back home. Basically you put water in it and it'll go wild.

So it's probably not best to plant in the ground unless we want a forest of it.

That and space. I guess it would brighten up my bunk, but I think it would be better somewhere... not so cramped.

Definitely. It helps restore stamina and energy and can speed up the healing of wounds in a variety of ways, depending on how applied. Common it is ground up and applied directly to the wound but it can be turned into a spray or ingested whole (or ground up into pill form to make it more portable).

If it works out, of course, I'll gladly share it. It's an important herb in my world because it's so useful and I'm definitely not greedy!

it might be, though people may prefer their modern medicine to a tea that is an acquired taste. i mostly grow it because it responds well to my magic

Hey, I don't nearly know that much about gardening. I don't necessarily need a ton of advice but I barely had time to water what I grew back home.

Figure anything that works, works, right? Though the familiar is always preferred to the foreign.

i agree, i do prefer familiar as well, but finding that here is oftentimes a rarity. no magic does not surprise me, most people do not have it

it is fairly common. not an every day sort of thing, but most people are capable of basic magic. but people who use it by trade are the ones who spend most of their youth studying it

I take it that you spent most of your youth studying it, in that case? Anything that takes that kind of dedication is admirable.

yes, up until i became of age. though it honestly is a constant learning experience. there is always new spells to learn and create. it is no different from any other trade one takes up

Except you took it up as a kid. Most people give up a lot of their childhood hobbies (or dreams).

I think everyone does from time-to-time, sometimes without even noticing it. It's kind of a nice way to exchange a part of yourself or where you come from with someone, right?

i cannot speak for others, but i did not have many hobbies as a child. i liked to sit in and study

I was pretty outdoorsy, but I enjoyed learning. I was one of those kids who couldn't sit still until I hit like, twelve or so.

Guess that's true, too. At least it's something most people have experienced every now and then.

i was sick a lot as a child so i had to stay indoors. now i just prefer to read outside

I see nothing wrong with that. I like to indulge in reading in parks, myself, but it's pretty rare not to be bothered by people in that case.

Figure that would be because we're all from so many different places, possibly different galaxies or universes. It's an interesting thing!

luckily for me parks do not exist in my world yet. so all one has to do is find a decent tree to sit under in the forest

i like the idea of parks at least. i have seen areas of the capital that resemble the ones i have seen in worlds like this one but they're more areas to sit and rest than places to go enjoy oneself

Yeah, it's hard to really enjoy it if it's sort of a through-street in a way of speaking or if it's overly populated (or just a fountain and a tree or three). We've got nationally-protected parks where I'm from and it's typically more about nature. There are paths often so it's more difficult to get lost but it's not the same kind of busy.

It's more to make sure that they aren't in danger and aren't destroyed for their resources.

i am not sure i understand. is that not what a forest is for? resources? aside from being home to what lives there
