He wasn't from my village. We only met because the hunters found him dying in the forest. I was training with our healer, so I was made responsible for his care. We became familiar and then . . . mm, very familiar with one another.
He's very good at making people believe he is a genuinely good person. What he did was unlike the man I thought I was falling in love with.
