[It's been a couple of weeks since calibrations, but after the stress of being locked up on the Marsiva unable to stop people from seeing your memories or keep yourself from seeing theirs, it's nice to have a strong change of pace.

[He still has his job at the Space Bar on the Iskaulit, but he can make more money with the larger crowds on the planet, so he's picked up some hours at a novelty bar where occasionally people come dressed in costumes. He doesn't know what any of them mean and you probably don't either, but it is fun to speculate and he'll happily talk up a fellow fleet member while serving you a drink.] Hey, what can I get you? [If you were in his calibrations that might feel a little to reminiscent.]

Amusement Park
[He's all over these. You could find him zipping by as he tests out roller skates and maybe smashes into the wall.] Ow! Don't worry, it will hurt the wall more than him. Or maybe you'll catch sight of him in line for the latest and greatest in rides. There are so many to check out. Expect him to have cotton candy on hand for any of it.]

[There's really no point in making credits if he isn't going to spend them, right? You might see him while he's looking through toys for his tiny captain or for sweets and other things Kara might like. He might even be getting some new clothes for himself and coming out out of the dressing room to look at himself in the mirror. How many plaid, striped, or gray shirts does one guy need? Whether it's clothes or stuff he might just point at it and look at you.] What do you think of this?

[Crowley is exceptionally pleased to be in a city again. This is the kind of environment in which he thrives. How long has it been since he's seen London now? Eight? Nine years? This is a far cry from the Capitol, but he'll take it. It's bustling enough. ]

Businessman

[Crowley always uses places like these to get new drinks for Málum. New ideas, some new drink that might be at least semi-palatable. He can be found testing various drinks, making shady deals, and occasionally carting some crates away. If he catches you, he will absolutely make use of you. ]

Wine and dine

[Crowley can also be found ENJOYING the food and alcohol in this star system. He usually finds himself a quiet little nook where he can people-watch and enjoy some fine wine and delicious food. By the middle of their stay, he will have definitely got himself some loyalty points, which he'll absolutely use to his own advantage. The staff love him. If he catches your eye, he'll raise a glass in greeting. ]

I think this just about makes up for a month of mental trauma, don't you?

[Merlan looks amused as Crowley raises a glass. She's been debating the liquor list for about fifteen minutes and tilts her chin a little.]

Just about seems a good way to put it. I could definitely use something hard and smooth when it comes to a good and proper drink. Though the more alien choices look absolutely fascinating.

[Chances are, if you know Lumière, he's probably tried to get you to cart him around this place. He loves exploring but it's not exactly an easy feat when your a foot and a half tall and can only hop around on a single stump leg. Life is tough, you know. So do a friend a favour. ]

Exploring

[Lumière has never been to a city before. Well, he's been to Paris, but that was eighteenth century Paris - this, this is quite literally a whole other world. Despite his ye olde mind, Lumière LOVES this place. There's so much excitement and brightness, like no one ever sleeps. He bounces along the floor excitedly, checking out everything he can actually get anywhere near, frankly not caring if he creeps out the locals or not.

If you came along with him, or if you're some poor soul he's just run into, he's going to talk to you. BECAUSE LOOK HOW AMAZING EVERYTHING IS!!! ]

Incroyable! Have you ever seen anything like this in your life?

Amusement park

[Amusement parks are absolutely a whole new world. This is no travelling carnival. This is something solid loud and a little tacky and commercial. Of course, Lumière loves it. Of course, he's too short to get on most of the rides on his own merit, but he is absolutely not above trying to convince someone to take him on a ride as a carry-along. Come on, people need to keep a candelabra with them at all times, right? There's an illness they can make up to make this happen, right? Have some fun!

Otherwise, he can be found in one of the theatres, enjoying a live show, because of course he would.]

[Merlan laughs as she spots Lumière bouncing about. His excitement is a little catching as she crouches next to him.]

It's pretty new for me. Did you want a lift? The view up here is pretty impressive.

[She tilts her head and smiles.]

I'll take you anywhere you'd like, really.

[Because, honestly, Lumière really should see the gardens at some point, they're really gorgeous. But then, she tends to like quieter things.]

A. There's something about the feel of plants beneath her fingers, of fruit in her hand, bright and glossy, ready for picking, that reminds her of Aunt Lillian's garden. It's not very large, that garden back home, but there's a tree and there's usually fruit. It's not terribly successful but the night-blooming jasmine was always a little exotic. She still couldn't figure out how her aunt did it, though, she suspected some sort of magic.

There's strange fruit, here, but she has been briefed on how they looked when they were ripe along with various other fruits. It's like picking apples or apricots, and there are little berries, too, bright golden ones that dangle with water drops hanging from them. It feels calm, less pressured, less needful than the congested planet full of the pressure to buy. Merlan has possibly just enough credit to go around, more than enough from the job she's taken. It pays by the day and her effort and she finds getting in a rhythm works wonders.

She's saving up for cigarettes, a music player and some music, a telepathic buffer, and things for her crewmates and people she's gotten to know. Her sum from the last month was actually pretty good, so fingers crossed, she could get everything she needed if she was careful.

Her gloves are off for picking, her head down as she reaches for another one and it's not fruit she finds but another hand. Hers immediately retreats as she glances up.

"I'm sorry," she murmurs, retreating. "Go ahead, you were there first."

B Merlan's bare fingers brush out against a bud carefully as she breathes in the scent of the flowers around her with her eyes closed. It's fresh, full of life, growing as she waters and prunes them. They really ask nothing in return, just to grow. They're something she can touch without having to worry, though sometimes there are echoes of seedlings and the people who touched them or the fresh scent of warm earth.

It's different.

Water is a strange thing. It helps and hinders, gathering and washing away a psychic imprint. The hose and head attached to it give her blurry impressions without her gloves. There are no strong emotions here as if the flowers dilute what comes and goes. She finds she needs the quiet after Sam Winchester's memories. It's easier to find peace in work like this, even as those memories come and go, blurring into each other.

She turns, moving to the next plant, not realising that she's directing the water with her mind, letting it flow upward in complex streams that reach a whole level of plants. It makes her feel giddy, though, and a little unbalanced. Sometimes, letting herself go just a little was okay, wasn't it?

sʜᴏᴘᴘɪɴɢ

A. What drew her the most were the places that offered music - live, recorded, things that would help her find her calm. Buying a music player, something small but with plenty of storage, was something she needed. There were all kinds, everywhere and all sorts of deals.

She finally sighs after studying two different aural models that would play the music through aural synapse connection, so she could have a low level of music playing without having anyone hear it.

"I can't decide which will work best," she says, her brow furrowing in frustration. "And I'm a little afraid to try this one if it's attaching to my synapses. But I guess I am made of signals..."

B. If music was one way to help, then something to replace her psychic buffer were another. That meant dealing with an entirely different set of retailers. Possibly. She just had to keep digging around. It's not like she was looking for psychic enhancement, anyway. She didn't want to know people's secrets or thoughts.

Honestly, the telekinesis was the only thing she really enjoyed. There was a freedom in it, really. All she needed was a telepathic buffer and asking for that seemed to get her mixed results. Especially in this dive. An alien pinned her up against the wall, its mouth a tangle of many, many tentacles wriggling across her face as it's three astonishingly blue eyes narrowed.

Whatever it was saying, she had no idea, but it sounded like an accusation. She held her hands up, unresisting, as she tried to figure out what it wanted. It was definitely hostile, though, and she was probably in some sort of trouble.

This was totally not on the menu.

...neither was squid for the next foreseeable future.

A.Broadcast: Fleetwide
There's one thing that Merlan's wanted to try for, well, since she started studying physics, really. She wants a place for meditation, preferably a place she can go that doesn't have gravity or can change gravity. That and music would make everything worth it. It'll help with the memories she has in her head - a little like the plants she loves in some respect.

Her best bet is the network but she's sitting in the Iskaulit's Space Bar. It seems to be nice and quiet, for the moment. Her voice is hushed.

"Is there anywhere on any of the ships that have an anti-gravity room or at least one I can change the gravity settings on. I'd like to use one for meditation."

B. She sits quietly in the kitchen rotating her spoon around counter clockwise in her coffee which was caramel in colour. Her telekinetic hold is light on the spoon as her concentration's really elsewhere. There was so much to think about, anyway. First with events on the Marivsa when she arrived, which if she was being frank with herself, was more than a little disturbing. It was like an uncensored dive into people's personal spaces. Something she tried so hard not to do all of her life. Beyond that, there was her new ship, which was not the SS Paisley. She needed to reach out to Captain Kirito at some point and express some sort of apology. It hadn't been her doing, but there it was. The SS Bloodsport was...different.

There was a good feel to this ship, even if there were people she hadn't met yet, it seemed like a good place with good people. They were her crew, hopefully for awhile, and she needed to get to know them. There were leather bags in varying sizes next to her, each with a crewmate's name neatly lettered on a tag.

Even the ones she hadn't met.

Each of the multicoloured leather bags had three items in them. Items of interest that she'd found in the stores or markets, or possibly the darker parts of the city. It was a way to get to know people, right?

Her coffee began to swirl up out of the cup, swirling into steaming designs of all sorts of patterns. Some were sigils, Enochian phrases that hummed as they dissolved into other patterns as she frowned a little.

"Oh" A soft sound will disrupt her concentration, and she will look up to see Maglor there, his own hands full of gardening tools and his eyes wide with wonder.

[Fresh air is a miracle, even if it's slightly tainted by industry. At least this place has a sky, and the constant bustling pace of the city suits Yuan pretty well.]

Magical Mystery Tour
[They're on a planet that has a history with the Atroma, and that means that any scrap of information Yuan can gather might turn out to have a few grains of relevance. And they're ever so happy to talk about their history, too: all kinds of tours and museums, and even if the information is all sanitized, knowing what the people in charge feel it's important to communicate might still be beneficial. So obviously, going out to hang around the back of as many tour groups as he can is an activity relevant to the budding resistance.

Too bad it's deadly boring. Yuan has been doing this all day, and the guide for this aerial tour of major landmarks is chipper to the point of being saccharine, and they're well behind schedule because someone's child won't stop asking the most inane and irrelevant questions. He's pretty much Done. In the back of the hover bus, he turns to his neighbor:]

Ready to test the emergency exit yet? I could fly myself through the tour route faster than this.

Shopping
[Yuan doesn't really have a whole lot he's inclined to spend money on, but he likes getting a feel for the culture by wandering through and seeing what they have to sell. Run into him looking at books, clothes, consumer electronics, the food court. Get his opinion on the wares, or the ubiquitous advertising, or just make him carry your stuff.]

Ground level
[Naturally, he's interested in what's down here, too. He's a little more circumspect in his gawking in the rougher parts of town, but there's really no point in trying to pretend he belongs here either, as he moves between businesses, examining what - and sometimes who - is being advertised. His cloak conceals most of his body, but when he reaches out to pick something up you might be able to glimpse the sword he's carrying underneath it. Try to pick his pocket, or hide behind him from someone else, or drag him into a zany scheme.]

Playing in traffic
[Why pay for a taxi when you have wings? The traffic lanes are all clearly marked: if Yuan wants to get from place to place by air on his own power, he should just be able to avoid them, right?

Of course, there's always the chance of an autopilot malfunction, or just a really bad driver. As he's flying by, a hover misses a turn in the traffic lane and nearly hits Yuan, who dives for the cover of the nearest walkway and lands on it with enough force that he skids across the surface a bit. He shouts after the vehicle, now vanished into the flow of traffic again:]

Who the hell taught you how to drive?! [So now there's a guy with pink fairy wings picking himself up off the walkway in front of you, have fun with that.]

[Billy isn't faring much better behind the wheel. There's a steep learning curve when there's no equivalent of an abandoned parking lot to practice hover handling, but he's managed to keep himself intact thus far. He dips to avoid the flying man, witnesses another near-miss, then moves to park in a hurry and run to him.]

Furiosa - agricultural

You won't find her on the First Breath, but neither will you find her anywhere in the city streets of the sprawling urban planet. No, for the month, Furiosa has taken a farming job on one of the agricultural airships high above the surface.

It is her idea of a vacation.

She's away from the noise, the fleet, and working with plants; in her humble opinion, it doesn't get any better than that.

Merlan had the same idea, taking solace in the easy tending and nurturing plants. It's easier than dealing with people and she works with a quiet hum as she looks over each plant. She has a hose, though the water isn't really following physics as it flows upward toward spots she's too short to reach.

She reaches a flower that is just short of drooping and touches its petals with a soft sigh as she waters it.

"Come now," she murmurs, "who's been neglecting you, hmm?"

Shopping

Maglor wanders through the streets not actually looking for anything so much as boggling, a little, at the sheer variety of things. He'll mostly stop at any location with music or instruments, although he lingers a little at fabric stalls too, looking at cloth and ribbons. He's quite amenable to being roped into helping someone else from the fleet, or he might wave you down if he recognises you, asking

"Do you know if you've seen any shops selling things for metalwork?"

The Mines

He found his way out here eventually, and can be found inspecting the ores and haggling with the dealers, looking for suitable materials to properly arm his shipmates.

You might even find him in one of the mines proper, doing a bit of quarrying as payment.

Floating Farms

It's the closest place to green on this world that has far too much steel and stone for an elf, even one of the Noldor. And besides, he needs to see if there are any plants he can bring back and plant. He can be found chatting to the owners, looking for seedlings and soil, or toiling in the fields.

If they've only got a month here, Peebee wants to get as much out of it as she can. She pretty much hops from job to job; lab tech, running focus groups, modeling, short order cook, courier, black-market courier, mechanic, eh; pretty much if you name it, she's probably got her hand in it somewhere. Feel free to find an excitable blue alien lady doing pretty much anything.

Of course what is making a bunch of credits if you're not going to spend it? When she's not busing tables or calculating quantum mechanics for a biolab's experimental face cream, she's out buying stuff. Mostly it's technical stuff she can use in her lab on the Caprine, or if there's an interesting bit of tech she wants to reverse engineer. Here she seems a little more focused for things that will help her stay distracted once they leave the planet.

Maybe you run into her in the store, or maybe she ropes you into helping her get some giant piece of machinery on her shuttle to take it back to the ship. She's got big plans for that one.

a. "commuting"

[Tempest is no stranger to city life. After all, on a good day she calls her country's capital "home". She's used to busy streets, crowds of people, how to maneuver through both quickly and without too much fuss. A pro, if you will.

However this? This is too much city for her. There's just so much that she finds herself stopping to awe at a tall building, or stare at all the ads and lights. Her capital was big - full of thousands of people in its busiest times, but this planet put all of that to shame.

And then there's the transportation - Tempest doesn't mind walking from place to place, but even she would prefer a quicker method every now and then - but goodness, these fast . . . what are they, trains? Are bloody mental! Are people even supposed to move this quickly?]

b. "legal" shopping

[despite the above, however, she is down here with a few goals in mind, or rather - quite the shopping list. Tea sits at the number one spot on that list, and she's pleased to find a shop that specializes in nothing but; she's never heard of half of what they sell, but tea with fruit in it? Mixed teas? These strange concoctions are exciting, at least to her, and she frequents the shop often over the course of the fleet's time here.

Second on the list is gardening supplies, and again she's lucky to find a few shops along those lines, too. She's taken to the hobby with gusto after calibrations and certain departures, and while she picks up the things she's running low on, she picks up a few new things to grow as well - and fertilizer! What a magnificent little thing that is.

Then there's the bars, and those deserve her attention to. She loves to drink, so why not see what the planet has to offer? She can be found in any of these shops, or just looking for fresh vegetables to buy too, though . . . the cheaper the better]

c. not-so-legal shopping

[like a moth to flame, Tempest is drawn to the shadier parts of the planet too. She's right at home here, perusing anything that catches her interest. It's all a little too expensive for her tastes, though, and it wouldn't be out of the ordinary to find her trying to barter for a lower price, or . . . getting into a heated argument with a seller because. Well, her temper is easily triggered.

Even at the price, however, she does pick up a few things, and not just for her. And she can't deny that she's pleased that there's weaponry she's more familiar with, either. She even sees a modern monstrosity (spoilers: a gun) that she keeps eyeing, but keeps talking herself out of.

Sooner or later she'll probably wander her way into trouble as she's wont to do, but honestly, that's just part of being in this part of the planet. And besides - it isn't as though she's completely innocent if any fights get started]

a. city life

[it's been far too long since Sawyer's stepped foot into a city, and it's like a weight is lifted off his shoulders. While he isn't a city boy, he can play the part, and slipping into the crowds and moving along with the flow of things comes as second nature. First thing's first, though - find some clean, new clothes so he can get out of the same shit he's been wearing for a while. Island life was rough, okay.

And besides, it's his first planet stop, so he plans to make the most of it. If a shop catches his eye, he'll wander through. Pop into a bar for a drink or three and move on to the next one. He doesn't have a lot of credits to spend so it's frugal bar hopping, but nonetheless - he plans to enjoy himself and take his mind off things]

b. shady life

[and far be it for him to explore the not-so-nice parts, too. He fits right in here, and while he has access to some weapons already, it doesn't hurt to do a little window shopping while he's there, right? Right.

Then again, while he fits right in, Sawyer has an acquired taste of a personality, and if he gets into a couple of fights, well - they had it coming and he's innocent, how dare you think he could ever be capable of starting a fight]

[new planet, new flooter, that means he's all about getting in as much as he can. While he won't be staying on the planet, he will be spending all morning and night there, so it's easy to catch him doing literally anything]

[ Jill's first stop was clothing. The jumpsuit fit but only in the sense that she could put it on and there was only so much she could be wearing outside of her uniform for days on end otherwise. Her taste is plain and most of it resembles her work clothes. The sage henley fits differently from her compression tops, hanging instead of pushing and holding; it's fitted comfortably and perhaps a size too large with the sleeves rolled up to her elbows. She's attempting to look casual so there are jeans instead of anything that look mildly tactical or like she's going to do some training. It's comparatively inconspicuous, even with the dark wayfarer sunglasses perched on her head in place of her hat.

She'd been subtly asking around until she'd been led to what is most definitely the sketchier area of the place. She's uncertain specifically what she might be looking for, but she knows she could use a weapon of her own. Just the right knife or two -- but she'd have to hold it. Feel the weight in her hands, how it feels to unsheath. Anything else, well, if she could afford it then it would be a pick-me-up for her sour mood.

It takes her a moment to again, recognize that the guy in the distance probably is her shipmate rather than someone she knows from back home. He's not terrible company, at least, so Jill trots up in a light jog while being careful not to startle him. ]

Fancy meeting you out here. [ She lifts and readjusts her sunglasses after the weaving through the crowd. ] Mind a little company?

[ She's polite about it since even if he were just here for weapons, there can be something intimate about shopping for them. Or, he might be getting into something else, which is all well and good so long as he wasn't calling her for back-up.

Well, even then it might be alright. ]

Rip Hunter | OTA

1. shopping

[After being stuck on the ships for so long, first the Marsiva and then the Starstruck, Rip is one of the many to want to stretch his legs. He doesn't venture onto the planet without a task, however. While he'd originally planned to see what offerings might be found in the stores anyway, Peggy catches him before he gets on a shuttle--and in turn, Rip winds up with a list of things to keep his eye out for, particularly when it comes to foodstuffs. Fortunately, it seems as if there are no lack of markets to explore, and not just for stocking up the kitchen. Tea and alcohol carry a high priority on his list, as well as books on history, the technology of the area, fiction--and ultimately, cooking, given that they'll likely provide ways to use the local ingredients available.]

2. working

[The other side of the metaphorical coin when it comes to spending money is making it. Rip isn't looking to deplete what he's got stashed away. While the calibrations and the pursuant conversations have offered a boost to his credits (perhaps the least the Atroma might do, considering), Rip still seeks out employment while they're on the system. The agricultural centers provide plenty, although the irony isn't lost on Rip, considering his prior hesitations when it came to potentially working the garden in the fleet. Jarvis might be disappointed to learn he doesn't love it--but nor does Rip hate it so much as he might have initially expected to.

Happy mediums.

There are other places where he can put his skills to work, however. Mechanics turn out to be in high demand, and while Rip is once again presented with a learning curve? He's able to figure out enough about the hovers to pull a few shifts in a shop.]

3. Underground

[It wouldn't be quite right to say it couldn't hurt to get a feel for the underground--but Rip has learned that it might still be wise, provided one can handle themselves. He doesn't head into the illicit districts with any one goal in mind. Rather, he wants to figure out what's available. The weapons in particular catch his interest, with guns available that are similar to the side arm he once owned. As one might expect, however, the issue comes in terms of price; seems the dealers know just how much their product might be worth, and are determined to ask for at least twice that.

and, for another, she's got her eye set on once again establishing the starstruck's food security and (well!) all-around security. to that end, she'd put rip to the task of securing a few things for the kitchen. something he'd seemed eager to do with the prospect of a friend joining the crew -- but when the transfer never came, and when peggy saw fit to inquire after the paisley's roster, she starts to piece together what might have happened.

[Prompto is used to sprawling cities, but this is something else. Insomnia was grand, but nothing like this. He wants to capture everything through his lens. [It's an awkward position, squatting and leaning over his right leg so far, he almost topples. But that's what it takes to get that perfect shot of a clean swatch of beach and a vast expanse of ocean while cutting out all the advertisements. It was perfect. Could almost pass for Galdin Quay.

A) Agricultural

[He's wanted to find something green ever since he woke up in this place. The garden on the ship is nice, but plants growing under a real sky, even on such a crowded and busy world, trumps that easily. He's never done this kind of work before, but it's easy once you get the hang of it; find out what you have to do that day, then do it until your shift is done. It feels nice just to... be for a while, without worrying about anything bad happening.

He'd be lying if he said the extra money from this won't come in handy, too.

But that's for later. For now, he turns a little too quickly and almost bumps into the person next to him.]

B) Shopping

[Eventually he ventures into the city itself. He's not really happy to be here, and he doesn't intend to stay long... but even though he doesn't like how crowded and busy this place is, he gets a bit caught up in it anyway. The streams of people are easy to follow, the flow of foot traffic carrying him along until he spots a store that looks interesting.

He only intends to be down here once, if he can help it. So he may as well make this trip count.]

No matter where you are, he finds you. On your ship and in your cabin, in the bustling city, on the Iskaulit, it doesn't matter. You suddenly find you have a fluffy and very pettable dog in your midst and he's got an envelope in his mouth addressed to you!

The invitation goes on to elaborate on the date and location as well as the obligatory 'reception immediately following'. Your invitation has a small blue flower pressed into it as well. It's still fresh!

If you journey into the city you might find the newly engaged couple planning the very ceremony you are invited to. So maybe be helpful and offer your two cents on the decorations or just distract them and get in the way! They won't mind, promise!


[The plaza]

There is a wide plaza in the city with people bustling around and our lovebirds are heading through it, hand in hand. Music begins to play and without thinking, Noctis stops... he smiles to Luna and almost as if he forgets that there are other people around to observe them he pulls her around to twirl her to the music. There is a boyish smile on his face, he laughs... he dips her. They share a look so intent that a kiss is sure to come in the next moment. Unless they're interrupted.

[Cake tasting]
They are tasting wedding cake at a bakery. It's a large shop and there are tables arranged outside laid with samples for anyone off the street to bite into. As with the plaza, Noctis is oblivious to everyone but his fiancee. He pops a sample in his mouth, hums, then raises another of the same type to her lips with a mischievous grin on his face. "try it, try it!"

Luna is all smiles as she and Noctis look through the samples. The date is getting closer and closer and despite her calm exterior, she's extremely excited. She has been letting Noctis do most of the taste testing, but she isn't going to turn down the offered piece of cake. She lets him feed it to her and chews thoughtfully, before nodding in agreement. "I like it... is this the one you want?"

And the samples are all free for everyone today, maybe try some yourself and offer your wedding couple a suggestion about your favorite.

[ Jill's not one to dampen anyone's mood, but her own has taken a bit of a dip recently. Being able to travel here and get on solid ground in a place like this has been helping, but it kind of sucks when you're back to flying solo. The past few years were like this, but it had a different feeling about it all then. This is a different kind of lack of freedom and one she's immensely grateful for, but still the kind that lacks. Many things are missing -- and people, too.

Naturally, the best way to perk up your mood is to treat yourself. She's mildly joking with someone behind the counter about the samples being dangerous for their business, but she's content to buy herself a black eye and a fluffy croissant, still warm. From a bit across the way, she watches the couple and can recognize one of them beyond the invitation she'd seen from the precious little dog traipsing about the fleet. She's already made a note to get a gift, but if there's one thing Jill isn't particularly swell at? It sure is getting appropriate gifts.

She does her best not to interrupt, but eventually when things seem less in the most adorable lovebird bubble that her stomach can handle, she approaches. ]

A - Exploring

[Laura was always relieved when the fleet reached a planet. It meant a few weeks outside of the constant confines of metal walls and metal...well, everything else. Admittedly, this world was a bit more built up than she might have preferred, but there was still a sky. Still an ocean. Still space to run around in.]

[So as soon as they arrived, she was out. Just...wandering mostly. Exploring, seeing what was here, trying to find the more open places. The beaches were as close as she could find to actually open space, and she could be found walking along the edge, just out of the waves reach, more than once. But mostly she just wandered around. Rode the buses, stopped to look at the 'sights' as they were, and enjoying the fact that there wasn't a roof over her head constantly.]

B - Shopping

[Laura rarely spent the credits she received. There just wasn't a lot she wanted, really. She bought things for her cat, she occasionally picked up a book or a plant for the ship, but otherwise...well. It piled up.]

[But this was the first system she could remember with such a variety of styles of clothing available to buy, and frankly, Laura missed her old wardrobe. Just a bit, really, but enough that when the chance arose, she wasn't going to just pass it up. And she could certainly afford it right now.]

[She could be found moving from clothing shop to clothing shop, and her tastes remained somewhat on the darker side of things, but she was trying to branch out a bit. Not really. It was still mostly dark colors and goth/punk clothing but hey, it worked for her.]

[Which didn't mean she wasn't indecisive about basically everything she thought she liked. Help?]

C - Amusement Parks!

[Thrill rides were always a little bit of a cheat for Laura, just because...well, she wasn't actually in any danger. If she got thrown from a roller coaster, she'd be fine ten minutes after she hit the pavement. But the speed was still a rush, even without any real risk, so she could be found at any number of the parks, waiting in line for roller coasters or sharp-drop rides. Maybe you tagged along?]

[Other times, she was at the waterparks, because sometimes all you wanted to do was float down a lazy river and get sunburned. Or, in her case, not get sunburned since...healing factor. But the floating down the lazy river part was nice. She'd bought a plain black and purple bikini, and spent way more time than she wanted to admit half-asleep in an inner tube, with occasional breaks to go down one of the ridiculous water slides. Come float with her! Or go on a slide. Or comment on the fact that she actually looks relaxed and that's really weird.]

A - shopping

[The fact that Felix has succumbed to the siren song of retail therapy is probably not at all a surprise to anyone that might know him - or even to those that don't, given his rather foppish manner of dress. While somewhere deep in him he's skeptical of this windfall of choice, it doesn't at all stop him from browsing the storefronts at every opportunity.

He sticks, mostly, to more upscale and reputable shops, often looking over colorful suits and waistcoats. He seems just at home in the bookstores and flower shops as he does among fashion.

There are times he ventures a little closer to the darker side of the city, looking over exotic bottles of liquor or...erotic supplies...with the same casual discerning eye he might have reserved for a new pair of shoes.]

B - Spa

[This isn't quite his usual kind of diversion. After someone shoving and advertisement in his face and after more than a couple coffee concoctions (he's one away from a free one!) he finds himself here. While he's familiar with the idea of subject of a public bath, this isn't quite the same thing. The advantage of baths was the paradoxical level of privacy one had to attend to themselves and not be bothered. This was...not at all the same thing.

He'd stringently refused anything like a full massage and settled for a basic manicure and hand scrub. Sitting in the chair with his mostly empty drink at the side table he's half fallen into a comfortable doze and only peeks an eye open to find that the tentacle-haired manicurist has started on his nails with a deep red polish.

Felix yanks his hand back with a screech--] I said no lacquer!!

C - agricultural

[No, he's not taken a job up here. Foolish as he might be sometimes, the demands of being a farm worker are beyond his physical limit. But the agricultural floats do offer something that one cannot readily find in the city - relatively fresh air and free entertainment - the latter being in the form of a spectacular view.

Felix has seen some sprawling metropolis' on the planets of fleet so far, but this towering city puts them all to shame. There are a lot of things Felix fears, but he looks over the railing at the edge of the float with no visible trepidation, taking in the dizzying drop to the ground below.]

A. Security/bar

[For someone used to the trials of war, doing a stint as a bouncer seems like more than a few steps down, but for him it's easy enough work and in a way it's something that helps him focus on the bigger issues. Naturally, it's the slightly shadier places that need this kind of muscle, and he sticks to dives less likely to be filled with neon and pouncing club music.

Find him hovering at the edge of room, armored but apparently unarmed, arms folded as he eyes a particularly rowdy group of patrons watching some kind of game on the televisions. Still, he catches your eye as you enter or from your place at the bar, and nods.]

B. Relaxing/Beach

[The hustle and bustle of Kayann is all well and good and familiar in an aching sort of way. It's easy to look out at all of that and not see a little Citadel there, a little Omega there, a little Illium there. He doesn't feel quite as out of place as he might have on other planets, but after a little it's just a little...much.

He escapes to the busy beaches to find some semblance of relaxation, and mostly spends it walking along the sand. He actually own a pair of swim shorts this time around, so you might also find him emerging from the water after a quick dip and settling himself on a garishly painted bench (Sippay brand Fizzy Floats! Refreshing!) to rest.

C. Exploring/wildcard

[The rest of the time, Kaidan ranges everywhere in Kayann that he can reach, looking for clues into how the planet and the fleet are tied. He walks the streets of the underground, asking questions fearlessly. He flies hover cars to the heights of the buildings and the agricultural floats to get a bird's eye view. He scours local news stories and of course pokes his nose into any corporate tech he can manage, scanning whatever he can with his omni-tool without ruffling too many feathers.

<sub>[ There was nothing, it seemed, that people on this planet liked more than getting a good deal. And someone that could both bar tend and fix technical issues? That was the best sort of deal. Honestly Kirk hadn't wanted to take the bar tending aspect, but he couldn't deny that it came with good tips if he flirted just right - which was a lot.

He hadn't picked the trendiest bar to work in though - it was something close to a dive bar in one of the busier parts of town with games that resembled pool and darts, but not quite (which he found fascinating and could be seen playing on his breaks or after his shifts). Quite a lot he could be found working on the sound systems or adjusting a light. Just like the bar had wanted, he was doing double duty.

But hey, at least it kept him off the ships and that was something. ]</sub>

<sub>[ Of course he wouldn't go all the way down to a planet just to work his butt off. Oh no. He came to play as well, and for all that he loved space, he loved a good pit of sunshine and un-filtered air as well. Which of course meant that he was going to be spending time on the planet's beach. He really wished it wasn't quite so full of advertisements, but eventually they became so much white noise, and he was able to relax.

[Even if it's some whackadoodle alien Planet, Cloud will take any opportunity to get the hell off the ship. A month spent on that damn claustrophobic nightmare almost had him pulling his hair out at the roots so honestly, thank Holy for this.

Add in the fact that this place is like a less polluted Midgar and, well, honestly this is the best mood Cloud's been in since he got here. Finally, some touch of familiarity. The brand name push is obnoxiously Shinra, but Cloud can put up with that shit no problem. He put up with it all his life, after all.]

SHOPPING - UNDERGROUND

[When the shops on the surface don't yield any results, Cloud does a little nosing around to finds out about the underground markets. He shuffles his shady ass down there and starts browsing for decent weapons. Oh man are those energy swords? Those are pretty cool, though he's not finding a whole lot of broadswords with the kind of dimensions he's used to. He's not sure this Maglor thing will work out, after all; no harm in having another one.

If you're down there too, feel free to see some skinny guy picking up swords and twirling them around (showing off a bit) before exclaiming,] How much? You're outta your damn mind.


SOME SWANKY CLUB - NIGHTTIME

[Well, he really wants that fancy laser sword, so Cloud takes a gig as a bouncer at one of the hottest clubs when he picks the current bouncer's car up over his head. All they have to do is pay him under the table! How great is that?

Anyway he's not exactly an impressive figure, but the way he stands at the door with his arms folded and glares at people trying to sneak past before kicking them to the curb is generally pretty effective. He's definitely not above bribery though, if you really want to get it.]


AMUSEMENT PARK - VIDEO GAME ARCADE

[Okay so he's shit at basketball, but he's pretty good at that snowboard simulator! And he's racking up...points? He thinks? The games eject this weird paper thing that he can exchange for cheap dumb prizes over at the counter, but he's not really paying attention to that. The whole thing is winning the game.

Although if he sees anybody eyeballing that tentacled plush or that weird food-like shaped eraser or whatever, he'll buy it for them to feel cool. Here ya go pal]


BARS - CLOUD IS A JERK

[He's also kind of cheating to get free drinks, challenging people to contests and putting up bets. Look, he really wants that sword. So he can be found at multiple bars, probably in the center of some rowdy half-drunk crowd, drinking people under the table and letting the mako in his system burn through half that liquor to guarantee his victory. Cries of what is probably CHUG CHUG CHUG surround him and okay, fine, he does wave his arms and bow and show off whenever he gets cheered for.

He'd thought some of the stations they'd been to were crowded and busy, but that's nothing compared to this. After gazing around starry-eyed Sorey will find a few places more quiet to spend his time, and for the first week in system he'll have a tiny Mikleo in tow, though whether or not he can be seen is up for debate.]

Sorey (and Mikleo) can be most often found in places like these. Even if they can't read most of what's available (almost all of what's available) they've taken the opportunity to try and teach themselves one or two of the more common languages they've run across, and so Sorey can kinda sorta read...some things. It's a work in progress, okay?

Sorey can be found perusing books with an almost manic intensity, occasionally with a small Mikleo nearby, or even sitting on his lap as they park it cross-legged on the floor in some of the more quiet reading areas.

If Sorey spots anybody struggling with one of the languages he knows or searching in particular, he might even strike up a conversation! Learning is fun. LEARNING IS SO FUN, Y'ALL.]


AGRICULTURE WORK

[That augment upgrade is really coming in handy here. Once Sorey shows them how he can help things grow with just a touch there are farmers scrambling for his help. He sure hopes there are other people in the Fleet with this augment because apparently there's a huge demand for food (which makes sense, with a population like this), and Sorey can hardly be everywhere at once. Eizen and Edna are probably around helping out...maybe. Maybe he should call them and let them know about the opportunity?

Either way, Sorey is bouncing around from farm to farm, talking to people he recognizes from the Fleet, helping things grow and generally being a social butterfly. He loves helping so much and this is such a simple way to help. Maybe he should be a farmer after he gets done exploring back home?]

[What the heck, this place is huge and overwhelming on so many levels. Mikleo's usually a pretty brave kid, but even he's too stunned to wander far from Sorey, trotting along beside him as they explore the city, one hand tightly gripping the tail of Sorey's cloak like a lifeline. It's half for the reassurance and half so he doesn't end up getting himself lost amongst all these people. They were looking for a bookstore, but all this gawking has them constantly sidetracked.]

I never knew this many people could even exist in one place...

[Velvet had been looking forward to the drift ending and getting to set foot on solid ground. However she's not sure what to make of this system. She's never been in a city this big or this technologically advanced. It's a little much for someone who was raised in a quaint little village to take in all at once.]

The Beach

[She actually is drawn to the beach first. At least she's had experience with beaches. All the advertisements are weird and kind of irritating at times, but overall she doesn't hate it there.

She ends up spending a fair amount of time at the beach on and off during their stay in this system. You may even find her in beach appropriate clothing at some point.]


Learning to Drive

[Eventually she decides to figure out what these hover cars are all about. She has a pilot augment, so it can't be that hard to figure out, right? Right??

Okay, so maybe she's not very good at it. Especially at first. But she's around. And driving. Maybe you need a lift somewhere? Or you need transport for some shady business dealings? Or you just feel like driving around with a daemon seems like a fun adventure.

Or maybe you just happen to see her almost run into something. That's an option too.]


Shopping

[She does spend some time checking out the shops. She might as well, it's not like her normal past time of hunting and fighting monsters is really an option in a place like this. She's already commissioned a weapon from someone in the fleet, but she's curious about what this place has to offer, so you are most likely to find her checking out the shadier types of businesses.

Eleanor probably encourages her to spend some time in some of the normal shops, too, though, so it's not impossible to find her browsing clothing and trinkets and the like (she has to buy that beach outfit somewhere). You can also find her checking out the food and kitchen items, looking for things that might be useful for cooking on the ship.]

Oh, but is that...? It is! Why risk getting caught when she knows someone right below. With a slight 'hup' sound, Fie times her jump just right to land on the roof of Velvet's car. She peers down into the passenger's side window with a wave and a verbal greeting if she can be heard.]

1- Beach!!

[The ads and brandings everywhere are an eyesore, both in the city and now on the shore, too. Looking at Fie's expression, it's not easy to tell she feels this way, but her stern determination to not look at one directly might be a giveaway for those who are more familiar with her habits.

Regardless, on more than one occasion, she's able to be found there, in a swimsuit she picked up along the way. Swimming, lazing, or even building a sandcastle, she won't say no to company.]

2- Shopping!!

[Fie has money and not much in the way of needs. Good ratings plus many lucrative (and questionable) jobs in past systems leave her with a surplus bigger than she knows what to do with. So why not shop? It's weird by herself, but there are vague ideas that are being looked into. Gifts for friends, some new clothes, decorations for her room... those are just some starting points.

Different days bring different store and trips. Some are more successful than others. Finding herself in housewares or accessories, shelves can be tricky. Every now and then she needs some help from someone nearby.]

3- Park!! (of Amusement!)

[Games and rides and food-- sign her up! Fie's visiting as many theme parks as she can, even wearing a more casual getup for the occasion, hat and all.

Shooting games, whack-a-space-mole, ring toss, and more, Fie's going after all of them, often times with a snack of some sort in her mouth. Any prizes she doesn't take a shine to get handed off to random children watching in awe. Others stay with her. Ride a coaster or a spinning teacup, her enthusiasm is contagious!]

[Just what it says. Fie will be taking many jobs, many seedier than others. Maybe she's assigned a partner or comes across someone else in her work. Sky's the limit.]

[Here he is. Chuuya arrives at the amusement park to have a good time -- and maybe to meet up with someone who asked him to come along. Amazingly enough he is not wearing a hat -- he may own many but an amusement park is not a place to wear them, not at the risk of one flying off his head! They're just that important.]

Driving/Courier

[Once he got over the initial overwhelming sensation of being lost in the big city, Keith landed a job with Guber driving a hover to ferry both things and people. He tried really hard to behave with passengers, but, when it was just the courier side of the business, he might have taken a few risks to get around town. Need to get a memo to the remote office across town before the end of the day? He can do it!

He turned around as someone got in.]

Alright... where are you headed?

Skydiving

[This was something Keith could get into. He took a few runs with their parachutes, but then went back to the Huntress and grabbed his Paladin armor. Guess why. Jetpacks. That first time they did the drop on Olkarion into the building courtyard, Keith had been hooked on that being his preferred method of skydiving. It was way cooler than just a parachute, and he had way more control over his landing. No wind to adjust for!

He'd gladly show anyone who was interested just how the jetpacks worked, too.]

Beach

[It was most likely that he was dragged here by a certain Blue Paladin, but he wasn't really enjoying the crowds. He might be sulking a little on the blanket trying to drown out some of the extra noise of people around him. It was just so... congested.

Please distract him with food or an excuse to escape.]

Shopping

[Keith quickly figured out that what he was looking for wasn't available in the regular shops, so he managed to find his way down into the more interesting levels of the city to go searching. While the little switchblade he'd picked up on the asteroid belt had been perfect for sneaking into a party unnoticed, he needed something a little more substantial if he really wanted to be able to fight for himself.

So, he was checking out a few things in the seedier places in town. And he definitely found something he liked to bring back to the Huntress with him. He was being careful with it, especially after leaving the area and head back to the more touristy areas of town, and might try to get back to the ship with it before anyone notices.

It wasn't hard to hide a small handle that didn't have a blade on it until the button was pushed to activate the photon portion.]

<sub>[ It had been a hell of a day. Or rather - night. It had been awhile since he had worked these sorts of jobs. Like back in his college days kind of 'awhile'. The good part about being the captain had always been setting his own schedule, but hustling here was a real workout and as good as he was with tech there were about a thousand other people equally as good and with reputations.

Which left him crawling into a cap with oily fingers, a knock to the jaw, and a slightly heavier pocket at least. ]</sub>

SHOPPING

[ Hermione is glad to find something that might let her buy some more familiar clothing, and she goes for it quite happily. Most of her attention is, as usual, taken up with reds and golds - only because spending years wearing one colour turns it into something of a habit. After a while she does get bored with the traditional shirts and trousers and dares to take a look at some of the dresses - they're absolutely nothing like the fancy, medieval style she was used to from the Drabwurld and it was almost a relief to see something a little more... Normal. Familiar.

When she's not bothering with clothes, however, most of her time is spent looking at planets. Taking care of a magical herb garden is a long-term effort and with just her in charge of it now she's taking her duties seriously. Anything she can find that might work for potioneering or creating something similar is bought quickly, and stocking up on seeds is a high priority. If you see her storming down an aisle with a look of determination it's more than likely she's thought of something else she needs and is on her way to get it, fast. ]

FINE DINING

[ After her shopping, or in the evenings, she eats. The Fleet doesn't exactly have the best reputation when it comes to food and drink and Hermione intends to take advantage of whatever she can get when they stop - so she eats out when she can, especially since all the frantic drama of her life lately has given her a little bit of money to spend. If she spots someone she recognises she'll invite them over with no hesitation - and she has one glass of wine with her meal before swapping to water.

You only live once, right? Sometimes. ]

RECREATION/WILDCARD

[ When she's not spending her money, Hermione spends a lot of her time wandering around and exploring. She's more than happy to go on a handful of tours, eager to learn everything she possibly can, and she goes out of her way to stop and investigate and try and nudge information about the place and what they know of the Fleet wherever possible. She stops and takes part in the quizzes, even if she comes out looking a little bit swottish, and sometimes she can even be found wandering on the beach, looking somewhat relaxed for the first time in a long time.

She's doing her best to try and come down from the agonising reminder of the Drabwurld that hangs around after the calibrations and this seems as good a time as any - and she basks, as much as she can, trying to make the most of it. ]

[Lumière has been deeply enjoying the hustle and bustle of the city. There's a real life here, and after a month cooped up on the Marsiva, it's well welcomed. He's been happily people watching, when he catches sight of Hermione making her way determinedly along. He moves to hop along beside her. ]
