He wasn't from my village. We only met because the hunters found him dying in the forest. I was training with our healer, so I was made responsible for his care. We became familiar and then . . . mm, very familiar with one another.

He's very good at making people believe he is a genuinely good person. What he did was unlike the man I thought I was falling in love with.

I'm sorry to hear that. People like him, people who do things like that, they can be very good at hiding who they really are.

At least up until they let it out.
