Hey... I'm almost twenty... I think.

[Yeah, sounded right. They had to have been out in space for like a year back home, right? And they did just have Lance's birthday... and... eh. Whatever.]

Either way, it helps that I made a big racket on that asteroid belt system we were in a while back. Being good at ATV racing apparently qualifies me for a license to drive a cab.

[Yeah... their little fun challenge against each other ended up turning into a way for Keith to earn some credits back there, too. He shrugged.]

_{[ There's a soft laugh there, but he understands. Keeping tracking time here - it's hard. Easy to loose it, not wanting to count the days because then it just feels like a prison. Or so it seemed to him. He made a soft sound as he thought about it for a second. ]}

Heh... yeah.

[It wasn't even just being in the Fleet, either. He'd left Earth maybe a year ago? But it was hard to tell between planet hopping and having to convert to an entirely new system of telling time with the Castle of Lions.]

So... you're around the same age Shiro... a little older, I guess. Shiro and I are like seven years apart.

[Keith wasn't surprised. Shiro was a social person... much more so than himself. He'd been a good 'poster boy' for the Garrison for a reason. Top pilot, sociable, polite, well-spoken, decorated... Even though he'd been kicked out, Keith was kind of glad he'd managed to avoid all that. As Shiro's protege, he'd been on par to surpass even Shiro's marks as a pilot, but he definitely was not someone that could have handled the attention without some sort of grounding force behind him.]

Yeah, it was. I haven't seen a place like that around here, yet, but I did find a skydiving place if you're looking for an adrenaline rush.
