[With his arms stretched wide, Oren is now taking in the view of the Marsiva's large windows.]

Well, I should count myself blessed to witness this with my own eyes! [He laughs, and it sounds joyous, if short. Turning in place, his hands fall back to his sides, and he's flashing a grin around the area. Night. Night, this was definitely night... And there were others here, he'd just not run into them. So what does he do?]

Have I missed the celebrations? The dancing? [Finally, he stops stepping backwards and turns to face the window yet again. Expansive and dark, but as captivating as it was-- what did this mean for Nocta?]

Night falls, and all it's met with is quiet? Tell me, have you all been stunned to silence, or am I left here alone with this view?

[After a long silence, the camera flicks on with a sigh and the roll of his eyes. Still, a grin pulls at the corner of his mouth.]

You are dangerously charming.

[Ha. Bad joke. He chuckles at it, knowing it'll pass off as general amusement. Setting the comm down on the dashboard, he rests his head on folded arms, gaze drifting to just over the camera.] Unfortunately, [fortunately] we won't be able to meet until you're off that ship. Which won't happen until later in the week. Doubtless, someone has explained it to you. I'm afraid I've time yet to keep ahead.

[His eyes slim, lips curling into a grin.] Not that I'll need it.

[Leaning back now, stretching as he moves.] For now, the best you can do is amuse yourself with those around you. Surely, you've met a few by now?

[Dangerously charming? What a weird way to say it. But Oren laughs with a sheepish duck of his head, raising a hand to the back of his neck as he thinks. Right, he'd heard something like that. So Mattias was off of this already. It made sense if he's been here a month, too.

Worry not! Boredom isn't something I allow for quite long. You know that. [Go ahead and assume what he'll be doing with all his new buddies, Mattias.]

[At that, he gives the screen a long look.]

Laughing lightly, Mattias masks whatever yearning might have been.]

Even when you know so little about it! Well, [he settles from his laughter with a feline grin and a glimmer of mischief] with such devotion, how could I refuse?

[He claps his hands together once, face brightening.]

Think of the fun! My fearless guide and I-- oh, that's not quite right. [He laughs at that prod, looking to Mattias like he expects him to join in.] I wonder... What adjective would you suggest?

[He leans forward, fingers drumming the side of his chin.]

Hm. No. I think fearless is right. Though I wouldn't protest if handsome and charming wormed their way in as well. Just to keep it company. Of course.

Handsome? [He says that with a hint of disbelief, laughs bubbling between his words.] Why don't we add humble, then?

Mm. No. [His face scrunches. He shakes his head.] No. I don't think that fits. Feels a bit too... wholesome.

[He smiles back but it's uncertain. Confused as to how to take the initial comment.]

Yes, there are... [He clears his throat, ducking his head.] Our home is somewhat unique here. It seems night and day are peaceful in other worlds. Although-[a tinge of excitement]-I did hear a tale of a world in eternal night.

Eternal? [His own voice sounds intrigued, but somehow he makes it so much more stable.] I'd liked to have seen your face at that! Just how did that work? Was it peaceful?

[He laughs timidly, the smile not reaching his eyes.] You see my face enough, no doubt.

But... no. I heard it was a time of war. A parallel to our own time, perhaps. [It seems like a warning now.] It sounded as something from a child's tale. Monsters roaming, stuff of that sort. Preposterous by our own standards but... [He shrugs.] To be frank, we are surrounded by preposterous people here.

So you’ve met more than a few? [He looks amused at that, bringing a hand to his face so he can drum fingers against his cheek.] Do monsters not roam our world already?

It’s not so preposterous from the middle of it, I suppose. [Except how it really is, but he’s trying not to deal with excessive emotions right now.]

You've such interest in who I've met. I might think you're getting protective. [Would he mind if he did? The answer eludes him, clouded by the prospect of a twisted motive.]

Of you, Mattias? [That’s all he says to that first part. It could mean a lot of things, and the smile probably doesn’t help in figuring it out.]

Really, though, are we to start quoting at each other again? If we’re on Tanghi, I feel he has a few more apt quotes later on.
