[Here is a little redhead, glass of wine in hand, who appears to be right-side up, yet in the background everything appears to be… upside down? The kitchen is upside down, apparently.]

Question for all of you. It’s been brought to my attention numerous times that some of you don’t come from a world where people have fancy kinds of powers.

For those of you who do, what kind of powers have you experienced? How do yours work? I’ve heard some say theirs are elemental based, while others are based on magic.

For those of you who don’t, have you ever wondered what having special powers is like? There has to be something more interesting than, say, if you were invisible, you'd spy on someone.

[And then he cuts the feed.]

How... how does the wine stay in the glass? [Because yes, this is the most important part of this post. Also Vash assumes it's Chuuya's powers but acting like an idiot is much more fun.]

[He smirks.]

Maybe one day I'll put you and your french fry ass on the ceiling.

Well, if you did that I guess I would have to walk down the walls to get to the floor! [That's how gravity works, right?] So, I'd rather you didn't do that, please!

[Chuuya cracks up just imagining that.]

When you say that, it just makes me want do it to see you try! I'll have it broadcasted for all to see!

You know if you do that then that will only start a war and I will be forced to film you in any future pranks.

And you know, think of a prank. I was considering leaving you alone now. [Only until inspiration strikes.]

You know, I never believed for a second that you'd ever stop with your pranks.

[Chuuya flips down onto the floor to sit in one of the lounge seats, and have a sip of his wine.]

It's not the first time I've said this, and it won't be the last time you'll hear it. I know your type, Captain Vash. My former partner was a lot like you.

[Vash watches, honestly amazed, as the drink doesn't spill at all.]

Well, I'm glad you found someone like me who-- while a bit more handsome and fun than your partner-- can be here to fill that empty gap in your life.

Don't flatter yourself. It's actually really annoying to think that, no matter what world I end up on, I get stuck with the same kinds of people.

[Annoying but maybe also a little comforting, but like hell will he admit to that.]

Aww, am I making you feel homesick? [He teases with a snicker.]

[Ooo that comment makes his blood boil.]

I'll really kill you, you know?!

Hey, it's nothing to feel bad about! We all miss home now and then. I know that I do!

[Yes, instead of hearing a threat Vash chooses to hear it as confirmation.]

[He stares into his glass before finishing his drink.]

I don't know about you, but I don't have the time to sit around and miss home.

[Technically he does here, but he doesn't think he should.]

That sort of thing only holds you back.

Yeah? You think so? I didn't think it was so bad to remember home. You know, to strengthen your resolve and determination to get back. You know, that sort of thing.

I get what you're saying, but I'm used to that sort of thing being a liability.

[Being the emotional type meant hearing that sort of comment often in his old line of work, and he can't ever forget it.]

Old habits die hard.

Sounds like a pretty tough life. At least you had a partner so I hope it at least wasn't a lonely one.

Ha! Don't assume stuff! Being alone is better than being with that guy. Even if I compare you two, you'd hate him too. He's worse than you are.

[He can hardly believe he's saying this.]

Your level of annoying is below his. Congratulations.

Wow, thanks. I'm so completely and utterly touched. [And wondering if he should up his prank-ing game.]

Still, I hate being alone. I think I'd rather spend my days with someone who aggravates me then to be on my own completely all the time.

I think that's the saddest thing I've ever heard you say.

[Well, of course anything that happened in callibrations takes top for sadness, and he can't ever forget that, but still.]

What's wrong with not wanting to be alone? I think most people don't want to be alone. [He smiles brightly. Seeing nothing sad about what he's just said.]

What's sad is you'd rather spend time with someone who aggravates you than be alone.

[Not that he should talk, but he can certainly spend time alone. So he continues.]

I don't know. That kind of thing sounds like it'd make me drink and smoke more than I do right now.

Well, I would of course prefer to be around someone I get along with, but yeah, I would take any company over none.

Besides, maybe spending time with someone who aggravates you then you can find the thing in common you both have! And then they become someone who you like instead of someone who aggravates you!

[Chuuya thinks this over, tilting his head as he does so.]

I guess, to be fair, aggravating doesn't necessarily mean bad. Everyone is aggravating to someone.

Now you're getting it! [Vash nods his head as if this was his point the whole time.] And besides! Some aggravations eventually become something you grow fond of! Without even realizing it you only miss it when it's gone!

[That gets him a look of disgust.]

Ugh... do you know what you sound like? All the romance novels in existence that say that sort of thing. Calling aggravations "quirks" and "I can't sleep without the sound of their snoring" nauseating stories.

[Chuuya raises an eyebrow at Vash.]

Did you just get done with reading romance novels? Is that it?

NO! I DIDN'T! [Yes he did.]

Besides, in those books they usually end with love and happiness. Nothing wrong with that if you ask me!
