Meet me at the altar in your white dress
Who: Everyone
Broadcast: N/A
Action: Kayanni System, the city
When: NOW
There is a wedding on the planet. You may know this because you were invited to this wedding by this little guy and it's a lovely ceremony! You can watch the couple get married, wether you know them or not, the whole fleet was invited.Even if they don't know you either.
Noctis was in all black and he was beside himself, the time had finally come and after seeing his beautiful bride he couldn't look away. The music was soft yet appropriate. Luna was beaming, holding onto Shiro's arm down the aisle until they were together and holding hands. The vows went on as if in another room. Noctis couldn't quite focus on them, he was fighting getting sucked into Luna's orbit and just kissing her prematurely. Distantly he heard his cue to repeat after the offician and he recited his vows word for word. Umbra had their rings ready for them. When he put Luna's on her finger he felt a tear spill down his cheek. He couldn't stop smiling. The officiant led Luna then and Noctis hung on every word. Her voice was melodic and soft. Then he had a ring on his finger and he felt himself crying again. He just looked at her, he officiant left them through the end, announcing it was over, they were married.
Noctis didn't wait for any cue, he pulled Luna in close and dipped her as they kissed.
SO Have at the reception everybody!

reception
She doesn't have much of a desire to dress up, not really, but it's a wedding, so she finds a nice dress and puts it on before she walks around the gathered people, wondering what on earth she ought to do. It all seems a little easier when she spots Ignis and she breathes out, walking over to stand at his side. ]
I feel like there are far more people than I was expecting.
[ Not that she had any idea how many people there would be, of course, but... ]
no subject
A part of him hoped she'd come, it's true.]This isn't everyone that Umbra invited for the wedding. However, this is a great deal of the Fleet's residents.
And is much smaller than the ceremony that was planned previously. Which is very much on purpose.
no subject
She takes the flute with a smile, at least, and nods her head, staring out over at the crowd, a little more comfortable now she's anchored to someone she knows. ]
At least it's something they wanted rather than something too big to manage. I'm glad that they were able to have anything at all.
[ Hermione remembers Lunafreya's room, remembers the calibrations, and she feels herself sigh quietly. ]
It's good that they found each other here.
no subject
He notices how she seems to relax the moment that he is standing beside her. It's different from the last few times they've been together, but he knows that that's a good step in the right direction. A part of him wonders if he should take her into public more often so they can get past seeing one another's pasts.]
I am glad that they have one another as well. They have always been close.
[He lifts his glass to his lips but doesn't sip.]
Perhaps I might find myself with more free time now.
no subject
At least this is something easier - it's a wonderful celebration and Hermione is glad someone here on the fleet is getting what they deserve. It's beautiful, too, and there's no threat or war or danger or anything to bring them down; there's only happiness, and it warms her. ]
I'm happy for them, really.
[ Glancing over, she smiles wryly. ]
You're going to miss it, though. There's no point denying it.
no subject
You think that they'll spend most of their time together and relieve me of the burden of watching out for them. That'll last about a week, I imagine.
[Because his life is only twice as much work with the both of them and no Gladio to help. Prompto has tried, but sometimes he adds to it. And when they still have to contend with Ardyn, all four of them are needed.]
Although, a week is better than nothing. I wouldn't really know what to do with free time.
no subject
A week is still a bit of a break, isn't it? Maybe they'll surprise you and make it two.
[ She's not entirely sure if Ignis would be completely happy not being able to look out for his friends, though. He's incredibly nurturing, she realises, and he probably enjoys it more than he would admit. It's not just duty that has him taking care of the people he cares about, after all; she would know.
She's been there too. ]
You could come and look at the vegetables I'm growing in my garden?
no subject
Another thought brought about by sentimentality, no doubt.]
A break is only enjoyable if you're looking forward to it. When they are together, they happen to be worse. Even as beautiful a contrast they appear to be, they can also bring out exaggerated tendencies in one another. Or that's been my experience since we've arrived here.
Although, I would love to come and assist you in your garden sometime.
no subject
It's not possible, and that's okay. She can see happiness in others and that makes it easier. ]
I'd like to try and be optimistic, you know. [ She glances up, smiling wryly. ] I understand how it feels to go a little over the top for the people you care about. I think sometimes you act before you think and cause far more trouble for others than you mean... But it's been calm here, too.
[ She thinks it would be nice for Ignis to have a little time for himself, a little time not being someone's guardian or protecter. Maybe. ]
The garden will be there whenever you need a break, at least.
no subject
I hope that you're not talking about me being over the top. What I meant is that they both tend to go and pick arguments with a certain annoying element and sometimes it becomes physical.
[Read: the time that Noctis and Ardyn arrived and Noctis punched him in the face. Not unwarranted, to be sure, but definitely something that could be avoided.]
It makes more work for me.
[And he is alone, even with Prompto there. Prompto doesn't have the same sort of training that Gladio grew up with.]
I appreciate the offer. Greatly. However, the use of your library has already been more of a reprieve than I could have hoped for in the short time since my arrival.
[Not to mention her company.]
no subject
Oh, no, I meant them going over the top for one another. I definitely understand how it feels to have to watch people for arguments and fights. Trust me, I appreciate it more than you could imagine.
[ She had been the one to break Harry and Draco apart more than she could admit, and she had been there for Ron and Harry's fights, too. Add that to all the infighting and pettiness in the Seelie court and she could say she was an absolute professional. ]
It's not all mine. [ But she's donated books, and Felix did most of the work. It makes her smile a little brighter, though, glad to have given him something good. ] But I'm around if you do want some company. I don't mind at all.
no subject
They do go to extremes for one another, but I believe that is what one does when one is in love.
[Not that he knows what that is like. One would need time to know another person to even entertain the thought of being in love. At least he thinks that's the case for him.]
I think we all have someone in our lives that we have to watch out for when it comes to fighting. Especially amongst friends. It's only natural.
[Especially his friends... He finds himself looking a little too long at her smile, storing it away for later examination since it makes him smile more as well.]
Company such as yours is always welcome. And not just for a shopping trip planetside. Although, I do appreciate the offer to go look for books you extended last week.
no subject
[ She had been more than above and beyond for some of her friends, and she has the scars to prove it. ]
I wish it wasn't natural, but I suppose there's not much we can do. If there's anything I can do to help, though, you'll let me know, won't you?
[ She remembers his warnings about the man named Ardyn and she doesn't want anything to happen to any of her friends - or these people, who seem so happy. Why should they get their happiness ruined? ]
Oh, you're always welcome, Ignis! I don't have much to do other than make potions for the ships, so I'm more than happy to spend time with my friends.
no subject
[Hello, he spent 12 years searching for the right ingredients to make a dessert Noctis had once.]
Of course if there's something that I require assistance with, I will let you know.
[A memory and flash of a smile before he places his glass on the nearest table before bowing gallantly and offering hand.]
Right now, I feel as if I would like to dance. If you'd be so kind as to indulge me, Milady Marchioness.
no subject
[ Hermione has thrown herself into battles and wars and danger and even used blood magic and sacrifice. It doesn't matter what the extremes are - it didn't matter. ]
A dance?
[ Her eyes glance up and she smiles, fondly, before she puts her glass down. Marchioness, she thinks, humming quietly, before she reaches up and takes his hand. ]
I'd love to, Ignis.
no subject
To be fair, it's a nice car.
He remembers what it's like to dance with her and so of course he would like to repeat the experience. She might not be as polished as some of the courtiers he's taken a turn with, but she has a certain grace that he appreciates.]
Excellent. [He takes her hand and leads her out to the floor, careful as to where his hands end up once they are about to begin.] I believe I've only danced with you, Lady Lunafreya and Velvet Crowe this entire time that I've been here.
[They're the only women he's wanted to dance with, if he's honest.]
I'm sure that somewhere there's a group of ladies gossiping.
no subject
Tilting her head up, she offers him a soft smile. ]
Well, I hardly think they're going to imagine you running off with Lunafreya.
[ Unless there is something behind this marriage that she is completely and utterly unaware of, but she doesn't think that's the case. Instead, she focusses on Ignis, adjusting her hands so they're settled in place. It's easier to think about where to put her feet than it is to worry about anything else, and her smile is soft and fond as she glances up.
Still, a part of her is glad she's one of the few people who can claim a dance. It's a quiet little thing, but she likes it. ]
I'll make sure to tell them off if I catch them, though.
no subject
As if I was capable of such a betrayal. She's a lovely woman, but definitely not my type.
[Since she's been destined to marry the man who is both his best friend and king since they were all young. And they're obviously terribly in love with one another. Only a fool interferes in matters like that.]
I would greatly appreciate it if you would kindly tell any little old bitties assassinating my character that gossip is the greatest ill of them all.
no subject
All the gossiping ladies are going to be desperate to know what your type is.
[ Not that she has any interest herself, of course - and she's far more focussed on actually moving her feet and dancing right now, doing what she can not to step all over poor Ignis. Luckily, she's had a few years of practice now. ]
I promise not to damage your reputation.
no subject
[He looks at her for a moment before stopping and holding one of her hands aloft. The other couples dancing are far enough away that they can avoid Ignis and Hermione as he pulls her hand to his mouth and kisses her knuckles.]
But it is not my own reputation that I worry about sullying after that action.
no subject
[ She's struck, suddenly, by a rush of familiar nostalgia, thinking back to being far, far younger - was it really almost a decade ago? - when she danced at the Yule Ball and Victor Krum kissed her fingertips. Her eyes widen as she stares up at him, heat blazing on her cheeks. ]
I - I don't really think I have a reputation for you to worry about, Ignis.
no subject
Perhaps he can understand Gladio's desire to speak to beautiful women now. At least on some level.]
Don't be silly. Everyone has a reputation. And if it's to be believed, there are audiences watching our every move. Why not give them what they want, if only for a moment?
no subject
And what is it you think they want, Ignis?
[ From them, from her... ]
no subject
Or all of the above.
He leans in as if to begin dancing again with her before whispering softly in her ear.]
Drama. Isn't that what sells this show?
no subject
That's all it can be, right.
Nodding her head, she closes her eyes, basking for a moment. ]
I suppose I'm a little more used to being dramatic in the moment. Sometimes my emotions get the better of me.
