Meet me at the altar in your white dress
Who: Everyone
Broadcast: N/A
Action: Kayanni System, the city
When: NOW
There is a wedding on the planet. You may know this because you were invited to this wedding by this little guy and it's a lovely ceremony! You can watch the couple get married, wether you know them or not, the whole fleet was invited.Even if they don't know you either.
Noctis was in all black and he was beside himself, the time had finally come and after seeing his beautiful bride he couldn't look away. The music was soft yet appropriate. Luna was beaming, holding onto Shiro's arm down the aisle until they were together and holding hands. The vows went on as if in another room. Noctis couldn't quite focus on them, he was fighting getting sucked into Luna's orbit and just kissing her prematurely. Distantly he heard his cue to repeat after the offician and he recited his vows word for word. Umbra had their rings ready for them. When he put Luna's on her finger he felt a tear spill down his cheek. He couldn't stop smiling. The officiant led Luna then and Noctis hung on every word. Her voice was melodic and soft. Then he had a ring on his finger and he felt himself crying again. He just looked at her, he officiant left them through the end, announcing it was over, they were married.
Noctis didn't wait for any cue, he pulled Luna in close and dipped her as they kissed.
SO Have at the reception everybody!
There is a: Dance floor with music booming, a buffet with delicious food and CAKE, There is BOOZE of all types and it's just flowing with no signs of stopping, and sparklers! Also dancing with the bride..... or getting a photo with the couple!

Ignis Scientia
[Even with help, Ignis has spent the last few weeks cooking and baking and preparing the meal and desserts. It's been a headache, but one that he isn't necessarily unhappy to have.
Besides, who needs sleep when you have a coffee addiction?
Ignis can be found flittering between the suites where the bride and groom are preparing, making sure that everything is perfect and that a certain someone doesn't ruin things. Again.]
Reception
[While he still has duties to both king and queen, Ignis is determined to have a good time himself. As a waiter comes by with a tray of glasses, he takes one and watches things as he sips the dry but sweet alcoholic drink.
Not everything is about Ebony, okay?
As a second waiter comes along, he takes another glass and starts to look for someone else to spend time with that he's not bound to by both duty and affection.]
reception
She doesn't have much of a desire to dress up, not really, but it's a wedding, so she finds a nice dress and puts it on before she walks around the gathered people, wondering what on earth she ought to do. It all seems a little easier when she spots Ignis and she breathes out, walking over to stand at his side. ]
I feel like there are far more people than I was expecting.
[ Not that she had any idea how many people there would be, of course, but... ]
no subject
A part of him hoped she'd come, it's true.]This isn't everyone that Umbra invited for the wedding. However, this is a great deal of the Fleet's residents.
And is much smaller than the ceremony that was planned previously. Which is very much on purpose.
no subject
She takes the flute with a smile, at least, and nods her head, staring out over at the crowd, a little more comfortable now she's anchored to someone she knows. ]
At least it's something they wanted rather than something too big to manage. I'm glad that they were able to have anything at all.
[ Hermione remembers Lunafreya's room, remembers the calibrations, and she feels herself sigh quietly. ]
It's good that they found each other here.
no subject
He notices how she seems to relax the moment that he is standing beside her. It's different from the last few times they've been together, but he knows that that's a good step in the right direction. A part of him wonders if he should take her into public more often so they can get past seeing one another's pasts.]
I am glad that they have one another as well. They have always been close.
[He lifts his glass to his lips but doesn't sip.]
Perhaps I might find myself with more free time now.
no subject
At least this is something easier - it's a wonderful celebration and Hermione is glad someone here on the fleet is getting what they deserve. It's beautiful, too, and there's no threat or war or danger or anything to bring them down; there's only happiness, and it warms her. ]
I'm happy for them, really.
[ Glancing over, she smiles wryly. ]
You're going to miss it, though. There's no point denying it.
no subject
You think that they'll spend most of their time together and relieve me of the burden of watching out for them. That'll last about a week, I imagine.
[Because his life is only twice as much work with the both of them and no Gladio to help. Prompto has tried, but sometimes he adds to it. And when they still have to contend with Ardyn, all four of them are needed.]
Although, a week is better than nothing. I wouldn't really know what to do with free time.
no subject
A week is still a bit of a break, isn't it? Maybe they'll surprise you and make it two.
[ She's not entirely sure if Ignis would be completely happy not being able to look out for his friends, though. He's incredibly nurturing, she realises, and he probably enjoys it more than he would admit. It's not just duty that has him taking care of the people he cares about, after all; she would know.
She's been there too. ]
You could come and look at the vegetables I'm growing in my garden?
no subject
Another thought brought about by sentimentality, no doubt.]
A break is only enjoyable if you're looking forward to it. When they are together, they happen to be worse. Even as beautiful a contrast they appear to be, they can also bring out exaggerated tendencies in one another. Or that's been my experience since we've arrived here.
Although, I would love to come and assist you in your garden sometime.
no subject
It's not possible, and that's okay. She can see happiness in others and that makes it easier. ]
I'd like to try and be optimistic, you know. [ She glances up, smiling wryly. ] I understand how it feels to go a little over the top for the people you care about. I think sometimes you act before you think and cause far more trouble for others than you mean... But it's been calm here, too.
[ She thinks it would be nice for Ignis to have a little time for himself, a little time not being someone's guardian or protecter. Maybe. ]
The garden will be there whenever you need a break, at least.
no subject
I hope that you're not talking about me being over the top. What I meant is that they both tend to go and pick arguments with a certain annoying element and sometimes it becomes physical.
[Read: the time that Noctis and Ardyn arrived and Noctis punched him in the face. Not unwarranted, to be sure, but definitely something that could be avoided.]
It makes more work for me.
[And he is alone, even with Prompto there. Prompto doesn't have the same sort of training that Gladio grew up with.]
I appreciate the offer. Greatly. However, the use of your library has already been more of a reprieve than I could have hoped for in the short time since my arrival.
[Not to mention her company.]
no subject
Oh, no, I meant them going over the top for one another. I definitely understand how it feels to have to watch people for arguments and fights. Trust me, I appreciate it more than you could imagine.
[ She had been the one to break Harry and Draco apart more than she could admit, and she had been there for Ron and Harry's fights, too. Add that to all the infighting and pettiness in the Seelie court and she could say she was an absolute professional. ]
It's not all mine. [ But she's donated books, and Felix did most of the work. It makes her smile a little brighter, though, glad to have given him something good. ] But I'm around if you do want some company. I don't mind at all.
no subject
They do go to extremes for one another, but I believe that is what one does when one is in love.
[Not that he knows what that is like. One would need time to know another person to even entertain the thought of being in love. At least he thinks that's the case for him.]
I think we all have someone in our lives that we have to watch out for when it comes to fighting. Especially amongst friends. It's only natural.
[Especially his friends... He finds himself looking a little too long at her smile, storing it away for later examination since it makes him smile more as well.]
Company such as yours is always welcome. And not just for a shopping trip planetside. Although, I do appreciate the offer to go look for books you extended last week.

RECEPTION.
But boy, does she miss her friends. Someone crosses her mind sporadically, often. Not just Chris, but Barry and Parker and Claire and Moira. Everyone. There was at least one party owed to her when she got back from here, so she had that to look forward to.
Probably should be paying more attention to this party, though. She's about three-fourths through her second glass when she spots a familiar face. Uncomfortably familiar, even. She should probably apologize for the whole going through his memories fiasco, even if she hadn't shuffled through as many as it seemed like some people had. Jill weaves through a tiny crowd to reach him, wide and self-depreciating smile plastered on in preparation for it all. ]
Uh, hey. [ She hadn't thought about what she'd say, though. Did he even have memories of that callibration... thing? ] ...I suppose an apology is in order.
no subject
An apology? If you mean as to what happened last month, I can assure you that there's no need.
[He hands her the fresh glass of champagne as a peace offering.]
You were not the only one to see another's innermost thoughts and memories during that time.
no subject
She doesn't like the vulnerability of a dress, especially when all of her strength is in her legs.
More than happy to accept the fresh glass, she takes a final sip of the one she's been drinking and pawns it off on the nearest waiter with an apologetic glance that goes from them to her current company, albeit more generous with Ignis. ]
Doesn't make it any better, you know? [ She holds out her hand, a little too stiff for the situation especially with a drink in the other. ] At the very least I think you should know my name if I'm going to be rummaging through your childhood. I'm Jill.
[ Silently, she has to add that she's glad she didn't see anything more than she did. Apparently some of these had gotten pretty intimate. ]
no subject
He can appreciate that she finds herself uncomfortable in this situation, but he's determined to at least make her feel less so.]
Perhaps it doesn't make it any better, but I'm choosing to direct my ire at those responsible. [He does take her hand and shakes it amiably.] It's nice to formally meet you, Jill. I'm Ignis Scientia, though I suppose you know that already.
[She would just wind up pitying him if she'd seen more, to be honest.]
no subject
Understandably so, just feel if there's any time to lay it on pretty thick it's a time like this one. [ It's something neither of them can control but she just wants to make it clear how she felt. Her grip is firm but not tight and quick to pull away without it being rude. Her free hand settles on her hip while the one holding the drink vaguely gesticulates. ] Formal, huh? Well, Jill Valentine in that case. I'm with the BSAA -- which I don't tire of explaining is an anti-bioterrorism group. Guess you could infer that I love my job from that.
[ Maybe a little, though never in a way that's condescending. She supposes that's part of why she's glad her memories weren't broadcast. People start to look at you differently when they know certain things. ]
no subject
Gathering allies then?
[If she is, it's a strange tactic, as not everyone on the Fleet has the goal of going against their captors to return to their worlds. But not an unheard of way to go forward. He himself has engaged in finding both allies and... friends that have nothing to do with Eos since his arrival.]
It's nice to formally get to meet you, Miss Valentine. [He's not formal on purpose. It's ingrained behavior.] And there is nothing wrong with loving one's job, so long as you have balance with other aspects of your life.
[He steals a glance over at Noctis and Lunafreya.]
Or so I've been told.
no subject
[ She's a little chipper about it, clearly in a good mood in a way that's obvious that the wedding is really what has cemented it. She's got a hand on her hip-- which makes it a little hard to gesture (however lightly) with drink in the other. Jill's an animated talker, but not overly so. Just enough to really get her point across if her often-mild tone doesn't. ]
Just Jill, please. [ She can tell he's that sort of guy and she can appreciate it on a professional level. But they're all on equal footing in the fleet. ] Hm, well, how about we skip that then because I'm afraid I'm guilty of building my life around what I do. Guess this is more a caution that if I'm a little weird about conversations and kinda turn it toward knives, work-out routines, and battle tactics that I'm just talkin' about what I know.
[ She isn't sure how to respond to the last part and doesn't, but she figures that means that maybe -- just maybe it means that he's similar in some ways. Though if they have anything in common beyond that is hard to say since his occupation is unknown. ]
no subject
[It's okay that she's happy. This is a wonderful occasion and though he isn't as upbeat and chipper as Prompto is, Ignis is definitely very pleased for both the fact that it's happened at all and that Noctis and Lunafreya have been able to find some happiness for themselves while being stuck here. It's reminded him that there are two sides to everything.]
Well, Just Jill, [he gives her a slight smile] I promise not to take any surprise at a change in conversation like that. In fact, if you added women and cup noodle to that list, you would remind a great deal of a friend that isn't here and his normal topics of conversation.
no subject
[ It's easy to lay all of her stress to the side and pour her focus into today's events. It's there, floating around her periphery, but it's a welcome distraction from it all. ]
Cute. [ He seemed like the sort to pull out that joke, but she can't fault him for it when she'd have done the same. ] I can talk about a good cup of noodles, sure, but women aren't really on my radar. Sounds like we'd have something to talk about despite that -- I mean, the flavor combinations are near endless.
[ She puts that one on a little thick. Somehow, it makes it worse instead of better. ]
no subject
[He raises an eyebrow at her comment about sympathetic reasonings for the Atroma.] I find it very hard to believe there is some secret reason for them to kidnap those of us from other worlds for the entertainment of this universe the elicits any sort of sympathy.
As for discussions about food, I am always interested in that, since I dabble in cooking myself, but Gladiolus is really the one you should speak to about the joys of cup noodle. Or Noctis himself.
no subject
[ It's a complicated thing, allies, and she can't say she's the best at managing them. It certainly helps when you save butts like she does and have a standing where she does in her organization. She's more a legend than she is a person -- while she doesn't like the praise, it still suits her just fine. ]
I found it hard to find that I'm out in an ocean of stars docking from planet to planet. Not saying it's true, of course, but who knows? I hate to do the whole "I come first" thing, but if it comes down to it and it's us or them, it doesn't really matter what the reason is, does it?
[ It's something she says with conviction yet there's more running behind her eyes. The way she minutely gazes away from Ignis, not like she knows something but she's had her share of this. That sometimes people -- or things -- take desperate measures for survival and just because you don't understand it doesn't mean it's not the case. ]
They're enemies until proven otherwise. [ She manages to follow up with a slow shake of her head. ] I occasionally cook, but the kind of work I do doesn't allow for setting up camp or cooking most of the time. [ It gets her to crack a smile, slanted, when her voice trails with a bit of a chuckle. ] I enjoy a good one, but I like real pasta, too. I know a thing or two about Japanese cooking, but I'm more into yakiniku when it comes down to it... but I'll keep that in mind if I ever struggle for a conversation topic, thanks for the hot tip.
no subject
If it comes down to it, as you so succinctly put it, I will do everything in my power to make sure that my friends and I triumph over the Atroma. But this is hardly talk for a wedding.
[Jill, you're supposed to engage in lighthearted conversations. Not....that Ignis does small talk all that well for all his training.]
I'm sure that you don't need my assistance in topics of conversation, Jill. You seem perfectly capable of talking about whatever it is that you wish to with authority. And I'm not familiar with "Japanese cooking". Is that an Earth region?
