[ This is a mingle! The fleet's coming up on a miniature, thinly-spread asteroid field, which is perfect for some shuttle fun! Hide and seek, racing, trick competitions... chicken... you know, whatever you feel like!

[ those asteroids are calling her name! no, really, can't you hear them? parker - ! parker - ! parker - ! really? you can't hear that? huh!

she's enjoyed the shuttles from the first moment she's set foot in them (though not being able to rig them up to go faster? not as enjoyable!) and this obstacle course seems like a pretty okay way to see what they can do (it seems a little easy, but kidnappees can't be choosers, right?)

don't mind the shuttle zooming past you - to the best of its zooming ability - zig-zagging like it's being piloted by someone who's not all there - but not all gone, either, because it's not hitting anything, so they gotta be doing something right! and oops, looks like transmission is on, and through the speakers come a joyful, enthused - ]

Her shuttle zooms past him, and he laughs, thoroughly amused just watching her dart about, dodging rocks and picking up as much speed as possible. With a grin, he starts following, and broadcasts right back to her. ]

[ there's someone on her tail. she starts performing trickier tricks - both pushing the limits of her augment and trying to study her admirer's skill level. ]

Yeah, what's your deal? [ if he wants to play - great, having someone chase only helps the adrenaline get pumping. if he wants to do her harm - great, she's been wondering what an outer space collision would look like! ]

[ Skill level? Definitely not that high. He's no pilot, just someone out having fun. ]

Killin' time, mostly. It's not often we actually drift through places we can actually have fun like this, so I figured I'd make the best of it.

More like, you get used to the driftin' after a while. The rest of it? Definitely not boring.

Yeah, if you've been here a while you should be better at this. [ thing is? she doesn't say it to be mean, her tone of voice doesn't convey any hostility or mockery. for her, it's a matter of fact. getting good at flying these ships feels like a necessary survival skill. so is learning to fix them - which is annoyingly challenging. ]
