[It's been a pretty crappy month for Fenris, most of it his own doing. He'd been hoping September might at least find some semblance of normalcy again. A little quiet and calm to collect himself once more. He should have known better- Atroma is very good at making sure that sort of thing absolutely does not happen.]

Kirk is asleep, and will not wake, so I assume this is Atroma's doing. I will do my best to take care of the Tourist until he wakes, but I will need some help running the Space Bar until Nami returns to us. It will be rather tricky to manage the two.

[He might not sleep well, but he still needs to try and DO that. Plus he absolutely does not trust Atroma to not do something awful while Kirk sleeps. Given everyone's weird nightmares recently, he'd put good coin on something awful happening, in fact. It's his job to make sure no one dies horribly or the Tourist gets set on fire in Kirk's absence, and it's one of the few jobs he'll actually take seriously.]

With Atroma, it's worth considering. Normally I don't put much stock in dreams, but considering I'm not the only one who had one...

That is true. Given they happened to a number of people, it could well be a trap. Or a warning.

Probably both. More entertaining that way. Have you heard what the other dreams entailed?

I have not, I doubt any of them are pleasant.

Probably not. Don't think people would be worrying if they were having dreams about puppies and rainbows.

I don't know. I would find that particularly disturbing. You can't trust puppies and rainbows.

[That was a joke. Not that you can tell if his tone, but it was absolutely a joke. ]

Oh yes. Those rainbows are dastardly and puppies? Run. Just run, lest they lick you to death.

[He's silent for a moment, after the mention of Marian. He tries and fails at a laugh that really comes out as a short 'ha'. ]

[She's not sorry for mentioning her; she won't pretend Marian doesn't exist or avoid bringing her up just for his comfort. However, she won't press it either.]

I'll have to schedule my mandatory flogging in the future. Anyway, how are you holding up? I trust your crew won't give you much trouble while the captain takes a nap?

They are fine, they are a good crew. I should not have any trouble with any of them.

[They're a family, of sorts. He's still worried, though. Worried Atroma will do something- perhaps even take Kirk away. Punishment, perhaps. ]

That's good to hear. We don't get to pick what ships we land on originally, so it's always a crapshoot who you wind up with. Has your crew managed to remain steady, or has there been a lot of fluctuation?

Hm. I have been on here for a while, so I have seen a lot of change at the start. As of later, it has stayed mostly stable- we lost Winn, and recently we lost Chloe, but other than that, it has remained largely the same.

[Which Fenris prefers. Not a big fan of change.]

I hope it remains so and they don't do to you what they did to mine. Though now we're on the subject, how long has it been for you now? At least two years, no?

Hmm. Two years, nine months. Quite some time.

Maker's bloody breath. And here I've been complaining about being here a year and a half.

[He avoids adding on the months he was in Exsilium- it would round it over to nearly four years since he last saw Thedas. He doesn't want her to feel worse than she already does. ]

It is still a long time to be away from home. There can be no measure on feelings such as that.

No, I suppose not. The loneliness we feel from being parted from home can't be measured in days or months. [Or by anything, really. Just in how much it hurts.] But you... are not keen on returning back to your Thedas, are you?

I am not. Given what I have learned about home, I have no real desire to go there.

[He shrugs.]

I miss my friends, but other than them, there is nothing for me, back there.
