[Shiro understands, actually. The idea of Atroma messing with their brains is definitely upsetting, so he doesn't blame Billy for reacting like he does. He won't push the subject, though, unless the boy wants to talk about it.]

The Blue Fish - with Captain Sokka and Shay, from my world. You're in good hands, Billy. [He looks at the sea then at Billy again, remembering the flying.] Although you seem to get around by yourself pretty well so far, huh.

Hah, yeah, but I've been doing this for years now. If I wasn't any good at it I'd be pretty embarrassed.

[Not, like, ten or twenty years the way some of his idols have, but a few years under his belt is nothing to laugh at.]

[And with a wave of his hand, accompanied by a flare of blue sparkles, Shiro should find himself freely floating off the ground alongside Billy. No happy thoughts required!]

[The sparkles make him tense for a second there - sure, he's become used to people having crazy abilities, but usually when someone throws some light at him, it isn't good news.

There's no attack of course, instead there's-- gosh. Floating. Not real flying, not yet, but he can already tell it feels different from--]

This is nothing like zero-g. [Look at that huge smile! He wiggles his feet and yeah, that's some laughter from him, congrats.] Can I just move or is that in your control?

Well, you might want to stay within eyesight of me, since I don't really know the range of that spell, but you should be able to fly yourself around.

[at least, that's how it worked the last time he did this.]

[Billy gets a nod as an answer, and immediately Shiro tries to move, which ends up being a circle around Billy, followed whirling upside down and then up again. More laughing - amazing doesn't start to describe it.]

...so what happens if I try to test that range?
