[His response was cut off by Lance flicking his nose. Keith looked startled for a second, then glared in response.]

[There. At least if Keith was annoyed with him for a moment, that's a moment not worrying about god knows what. Lance was happy to make the sacrifice.]

C'mon. It's not even on the planet itself, it's on the asteroid system by it.

[Keith quirked an eyebrow, the annoyed expression falling away in favor of just being confused and curious.]

The asteroid system? What's there?

Yooooou'll see.

[It's a short shuttle flight to the system. They've got a base set up there with small, one seater ships docked along it. Lance hums a song to himself as they walk down from the shuttle bay to the main reception area.]

Me and you. We're having a race.

[Keith just frowned at the lack of an explanation, but went along anyway out of sheer curiosity. As they landed, Keith was eyeing those other smaller ships docked along the little base. He pursed his lips a little, looking around at everything until Lance spoke up.

You sure you want to do that? You know I'm just going to outfly you.

[That dumb little smirk. That's pretty much what he was going for. But he rolls his eyes anyway.]

That cocky attitude is gonna be your demise, buddy. Don't underestimate me.

[By now, they had reached the check in counter where they could sign up to rent a little ship. Keith pulled out his wallet.]

[It takes him about five seconds before he realizes what he just set, and goes beet red.]

[Keith quirked an eyebrow at Lance's reaction.]

[His face is still red though, and his voice higher pitched than normal.]
