[Welcome new crew and visitors to the SS Blue Fish! There's been some additions to the crew, some grievous losses and some activity as they prepare these finale days to leave the planet of Mor. Don't mind the two cats and large amounts of meat being stored. Since Blue Fish lacks a pilot, the ship can still be found docked in Mor's volcano until they leave the planet for anyone who wants to drop by for a visit!]

[Sokka beams, presenting the horrible abomination now adorning their ship. ]

Look! I painted a blue fish!

[Her eyebrows shoot up skeptically. Maybe fish look different in Sokka's world, but that looks like no fish Beverly's ever seen, on Earth or any other planet. But Sokka just looks so proud of himself.]

I see. It certainly adds a bit of color to the ship. What gave you the idea?

[Nope. They really do look like fish. It's EVERYTHING ELSE that's screwed up. ]

Well, it's the Blue Fish, and my tribe always decorate our vessels, so I thought, why not?

[dancingmd]

[Beverly can think of a few reasons why not but don't be mean. His heart is in the right place. Plus, she certainly understands needing a reminder of home.]

Hmm, it's not a bad idea. Would you like any help?

Sure! Everyone should be able to make their mark!

[He'll just gesture and that paint can will fall from its precarious perch down towards her. WELL SHIT.]

Uh. Might wanna duck.

[dancingmd]

[Too late. The can itself misses her, but she's quickly covered from head to toe in blue paint. She involuntarily gasps and takes a step back. She's hunched over slightly, to avoid getting paint in her eyes. Slowly, she shakes one hand, then the other, in a futile attempt to fling off some of the paint.]

[He gives a nervous laugh, clinging to the ladder.]

Aahahaha. Gravity. What can you do?

...You can have my shower time as well today if you promise not to kill me.

[dancingmd]

[With moderate success, she manages to wipe off some of the paint from her face. She pushes her hair back, where it sticks up at ridiculous angles, the paint quickly drying it into place. At first, when she looks up at Sokka, she's frowning, but upon seeing the apologetic and slightly terrified look on Sokka's face, her expression softens.]

You can come down. I promise I won't kill you.

[He snorts out a laugh, because. WOW. Look at that hair. ]

There may be paint related return fire.

[dancingmd]

I'm hurt that you don't trust me. A captain must have faith in his crew.

[He sighs and slides down the ladder ]

That is a dastardly trick of dastardliness.

[dancingmd]

[She waits for him to come down, then, before he can dodge her, rubs the top of his head affectionately, mussing up his hair with paint.]

Your trust in me means a lot, Sokka. It truly does.

[Noooo his WARRIOR HAIR!! ]

Well, duh, you're a member of my crew. It'd be terrible leadership not to have trust in you guys.

[dancingmd]

[Aww what a great kid. Even if he did just dump a bucket of paint on her. Looking at his now spiked blue hair she starts to laugh.]

Maybe we should just all dye our hair blue and spike it. As a show of solidarity.

I'm pretty sure Allen would have some kind of seizure.

[dancingmd]

[She grins.]

Probably. You should leave your hair like that and tell him your new plan for promoting a sense of unity among the crew.

[Suddenly, she has an idea. Checking her hands first to see if the paint is still wet, she walks up to the Blue Fish and plants her hands, palms down on the hull, leaving blue hand prints behind.]

There!

You know, I'd be tempted to do that just to see the expression on his face.

[He grins! ]

Now that's/i> making your mark!

[dancingmd]

[She contemplates her handiwork for a moment before deciding to add one last touch: using her forefinger, she signs her name under the handprints with a flourish. Maybe it's a silly thing for a Starfleet officer to do, but it clearly makes Sokka happy and truth be told, it makes her feel better too.]

You can always propose this [She gestures at her paint job.] as an alternative!

[Blue Fish is a silly ship. They approve of that kind of thing, here.]

You know, I like those offers.

[dancingmd]

[She's resisting the urge to hug him because one, she is covered in paint, and two, she doesn't know how he'd feel about that. So she simply smiles in return, then looks down at herself and laughs.]

Well, I guess I better go clean up!

[alwayscomeback]

[He'd probably make weird noises. Ugh, HUGGING. He gives her a wacky salute.]
