Arrival
Wow, rude. I know the confetti's a little much. but we love our decorations here. So rude, wow.
Arrival
I've seen worse. [And he's not going to say what he thinks is worse.] But being bombarded the second I get here isn't really the way to get me excited about the whole kidnapping into space part of this deal.
no subject
Honestly, I don't think many people are excited about the kidnapping thing. Except maybe the crazy people. Welcome to the Blue Fish, I'm Sokka, the captain here.
no subject
Oddly enough, I could think of a person or two who'd find it interesting.
[Of course, Lumina is a pest and he's called her a demon more than once, but that's not the point.]
Snow Villiers. Guess I'm security around here. [Thank Etro that he's not in charge here too.]
no subject
What? Really? They'd like being kidnapped?
Nice to meetcha! And boy have you come at the right time. This last planet has definitely got the heebies and the jeebies going on. Given what usually happens when Atroma does that to us, having someone who can man the ship's weapons system would be really needed.
no subject
She has a perverse sense of humor. She might even like these Atroma I've heard about.
[Don't ask.
But, wow, that speech doesn't inspire confidence at all. If anything, it makes his face take on a harder look as he moves his left arm, trying not to feel the burn of his brand through the cloth of his jacket.]
What normally happens?
no subject
[Sokka is absolutely used to grumps, he pays zero heed. ]
Wellll, we've had calibrations, various attacks on the ship, or planets being full of crazy dangerous things- it's always a fun surprise, but it's almost never good.
no subject
[And annoying. Very annoying.]
What the hell is a calibration?
no subject
[He jerks a thumb to the window, where the Marsiva always looms. ]
They beam everyone on the Marsiva, and at night, we walk into each others dreams and see one another's memories. It's >O?super creepy.
no subject
[More like everyone else is probably better off not knowing what the hell goes on his head.]
And that kinda thing happens often here?
no subject
Nah, Calibrations are pretty rare. I've been here nearly three years and it's only happened two times. I think they only use them when they're desperate.
no subject
[Snow snorts under his breath.]
I don't think they really understand what the meaning of that word.
no subject
Let me guess. You're gonna teach them that.
no subject
No sure I know enough to rush to that line of thought. Besides, I'm sure everyone else trapped here thinks that.
[Besides, what would he go back to if he went home?]
no subject
[He folds his arms, frowning, thinking of Riona. ]
Some people are facing horrible deaths back home- heck, some people are already dead. I can't blame them for wanting to stay put.
no subject
[He doesn't want to go back to a world without Serah, a dying world with nothing for him but more loneliness.]
This place could be some sort of relief, I guess.
no subject
no subject
[He'd been called dumb before a time or ten, but even he has to question Sokka's vocabulary.]
Sounds pretty ambitious. You gonna just offer that to anybody then?
no subject
[He gives a nod. ]
Of course. We're all in this together.
no subject
You remind me of someone I used to know. A long time ago.
no subject
Yeah? At risk of harming my own ego: what were they like?
no subject
Friendly, loyal, usually good-natured, good in a fight.
[Gadot was a good, okay.]
no subject
Yup. Sounds like me.
no subject
Haven't seen him in a long time though.
