[Since the news of impending doom's spread, Fleeters are doing their best (or okayest) to get citizens off the planet, and Fie's doing some work of her own. A random planet dweller here or there is fine, but her focus is mostly elsewhere. Since she's limited in her abilities right now--thanks lack of ARCUS quartz-- she sticks to what she can deal with well: plants.

Anyone on the planet or aboard the Iskaulit for a period of extended time, might notice Fie popping in and out with different bundles of supplies each time. Eventually, on the planet, she stops to sit somewhere (hopefully) out of the way to address her concerns.]

I've gathered as many plant samples and seeds as I can find for now, and I've temorarily set them up on the garden on the Iskaulit. From what I saw of the farming here, we could likely set it up on a few of the bigger ships, but the machine parts are sizable-- too big for several normal humans to carry comfortably. Maybe disassembling it would be easier...

Is anyone free to help with that? Or are people already focused on it? If there's something organized already, I want to help.

Mm, all the farms are farther out, but for now, I'm at a few clumped together off the west side of our docking area. [She sends him coordinates over the comm, followed by a quick after thought:] Thanks, Gramps.

Sure. I can't promise too much, but Ol' Zaveid is still kicking. [ He's a Seraph, he's a touch hardier sometimes. ] That the only thing that needs doing?

Definitely not, but it's what I'm focusing on right now. [He can hear a huff from her.]

As far as I know, we need to get these machines or parts back to the city so they can be loaded on to the ships. People there should know how to put them back together once they're off the planet.

Pretty good. [Kaworu says this quite companionably, although he says most things that way. There's an awful lot of noise in his background, mostly a youthful-sounding clamor, but he's as pristine and chill as ever. Or, very nearly as ever.] And disassembly might be pretty good, too. If I can stop by, I might be able to lend a hand with that.

I'd appreciate it. I'm not good at organizing stuff like this, but I figured I'd try until someone else can take over. Let me know when or if you're able, and I'll send you coordinates.

[Fie trails off a moment, then asks:] You're doing okay, right?

[Because friend.]

[Gently,] Send me the coordinates, Fie. I'll make sure to come for you. [It sounds a little indulgent, but he's shifted into a mode of being indulgent like that... Honestly, he's sounded this whole time like he's reading a bed time story.]

But, I'm doing okay. Better of the heart, now, knowing that you're trying. That's the best sort of thing, so I'm happy to hear about it. [He pauses, then says, with the softness and sturdiness of swaddling clothes,] Yes, yes. [He probably isn't saying it at Fie; his mouth is angled away from his communicator, and more distantly, there's the crowing of someone who sounds young. But then:] I hope it's good—the feeling of trying.

[Maybe... not the time for a philosophical discussion...?! But he sounds more encouraging than wheedling, as if, perhaps, he just wants to tell her about that hope of his.]

Heh. Not only would disassembling it be a hassle, it would also be completely unnecessary work.

[-!! Chuuya will be met with her somewhat alarmed expression upon receiving his response. She honestly wasn't expecting a reply from him, so excuse her disbelief.]

If you don't have the power needed for the situation, then you need someone who can do it.

[Seeing as how she'd actually been caught in the Bishop waiting for a shuttle to finish recharging, Looma has time for a video response.]

How sizeable?

Depends on what you're looking for. Pretty sure there're some that'd make it worth the trip for you.

So long as it is not much larger than a shuttle, I can likely carry it myself.

[And possibly a decent ways past that, but she's trying to ballpark it here. It's not like she's there to examine anything herself.]

Something the size of a barn I would be unable to assist with. Though I could provide a shuttle, once it has been disassembled.

[Sam had noted Fie's work on the planet, if only momentarily, so the message isn't a surprise. Later on after she's made her announcement he makes time to pilot back to the Iskaulit, wandering past his own little plot of gardening land and getting to her as she works. He holds out a wooden crate of a decent size, with colorfully painted jars of seeds.]

Got some of the abandoned samples; people were too freaked to collect them, anyway.

[He's been getting pretty good at gardening, since he had to for necessity at Adstringendum. So he'll join in on her work after the people are off the planet, safe and semi-sound.]

[Fie looks up, ignoring the streaks of dirt on her face as she reaches for the crate with a nod of thanks.]

Can't blame them, but it's still important. They can be food or medicine or other useful things. Treated right, they can go a long way.

Absolutely... Not to mention, if their shuttle ever has issues or malfunctions when it comes to their oxygen levels, having plants on board can be a life or death thing.

[If the garden's big enough, anyway, but one hopes they prepare to have a thriving, full area that will suffice for food as it is.]

[Crowley's been running Málum as a drop-in centre for any refugees who need it (as stealthily as he can, he doesn't want people thinking he has a heart or anything) so he's spending a lot of his time on the Iskaulit. He does, eventually, come across Fie in her plant-based adventures, and is maybe a tiny bit proud of her for doing it.

Huh. Good thinking. People tend to pass by on the plants. It'd be a shame if they all snuffed it.

It's dumb if they do. Food, medicine, oxygen... They need all of those to continue. Figured we might as well get something started if no one else was prioritizing it.

[Only after repacking the soil around an orange stalk does she look up at him.]

Gardening club didn't really prepare me for this, but it helped.

Besides, who knows if these people can sustain themselves without their own native plants for very long? Could be important to their survival in general.

Eh, we're getting a lot of survivors, some of them will have to know what they're doing.
