[Tyrion is sitting in the Captain's chair of First Breath, something that should strike you all as strange. He also looks absolutely drained - to the point of making him look almost twice his age. He rubs his hands across his face, as if steeling himself, before he finally speaks.]

For those of you who ... who knew Captain Furiosa, and her friend Max, they ... they both perished back on the planet. According to the people I have spoken to, they died in the successful attempt to get the last ship up and running again. Gil and I - Gil and I ... did not realize they had not made it off-planet and ... and well.

Here we are.

[He looks at his hands for a moment, squeezing them into fists, before he looks at the camera again.]

One of my shipmates has made an excellent suggestion - talking about the threats that might face us from our own worlds - considering how familiar our travels seem to be. I suggest meeting up to find a way to continue our survival, and not make others lives ...loss of lives in vain.

[He smiles, slight but crooked.]

But also, probably, the one I annoy the most. One of my many great talents.

Well he seems to see you as a considerable asset to our ship.

Oh. Um. Haha. I was ... I was joking about the talents thing. Though I'm pretty good with a gun. [He worked really hard on improving. Really hard.] And machines. Well, tech. Just kind of naturally drawn to anything with metal and wires, really. [He tries really hard not to think about why that is.]

[He blinks at that, and then looks on with more interest.]

I am the ship's engineer ... do you have any designs or do you just putter?

Nah, I don't create stuff from scratch. But rebuilding and repairing, modifying, improving, that stuff I can do. I needed to be able to maintain my own weapons, you know. Not just the guns, but like, the crossbow and gravity well.

[Now just wait a moment...]

You have ... a crossbow and a gravity well.

Well, I am an inventor, and I would be very much interested in inspecting both of these weapons, if you did not mind.

[Tyrion has all his tools out and ready here, Prompto. Don't tell him you forgot in a whole five minutes.]

[He is perfectly capable forgetting things in the span of five minutes, yes. But not this time!]

[He braces just seconds before a large crossbow drops heavily into his hands.]

Pretty, huh? We'll have to save any demos for when we reach the next planet.

[He tipped his head, before he holds out his hands.]

Where did that come from if you do not mind me asking?

[Prompto brings the crossbow over so Tyrion can have a better look at it.]

We found it in Keycatrich Trench, way back in... um. That's... that's not what you meant. [He clears his throat with a shrug.] Magic. Not mine. Um. I'm not magic. But Noctis is, and I'm connected to him as a member of his guard. The weapons are stored in his armiger, and that's how I... [He hefts the crossbow some.]

[Tyrion leaned in to take a closer look at the crossbow, before he leans back and starts sketching out the basic design in his journal.]

...how does he create this magical pouch, and can he make another for others? [How useful with THAT be? Honestly.]

[Magical pouch. That's funny. He's going to have to use that sometime.]

Ah. Well, the magic is exclusive to the royal line. It'd be up to Noct who gets to share it. It's not something you give out willy-nilly.

...Ah hah. I have never heard of magic like that.

[Oh the questions he will ask Noctis ...]

[Oh, man. He hopes Noct doesn't get upset that he's been talking about this, and like, using it in front of other people? It's not like they never have though? Or that it was a secret. No one pulled him aside and said not to.]

Is there magic where you're from?

[He readjusts the grip on the crossbow.]

Yes, but it is not as useful as this ... mostly just weapons of mass destruction.

[A sigh.] Hidden pockets in the air would be much more my particular interest.

[He nodded.]

[He's not unfamiliar with weapons of mass destruction. Though how magical, he couldn't say. Had the Old Wall been magic? It must have been. Giant statues didn't just spring to life.]

They're not as damaging, that's for sure.

[He releases the crossbow in a burst of crystals. He alters his stance to take the weight of the bulky gravity well that appears next.]

This one's a bit banged up. Sludge in the gears.
