[He listens to her quietly, and his arms tighten around her before he leans back so he can lean up to look at her.]

[They all died because a planet exploded. Exploded. That ... doesn't seem like something you could put a bandage on and wait for the healers to take care of.]

Not sure how it worked in the city either. But they can manipulate time. They could bring back versions of them from before they died. Or they could also not.

And then they'll either try to kill you, destroy your sense of self worth, or disappear out of your life. I'm pretty sure that's how it works. I have no evidence to the contrary.
