No, we put in for the Twin Roses again, actually. Apparently Atroma had other ideas. With people we actually know here though, I'll take it.

[Could have been worse. He could have been plopped down with an entirely new crew of strangers to get attached to and then disappear on.]

Why am I not surprised. Atroma do tend to enjoy creating little surprises for people.

[Seriously, Atroma. Why do you have to be this way. He shrugs, a little uneasy. Perhaps Adalwolfe doesn't know yet, and if he doesn't, that means he will...eventually. That's going to be messy and Fenris is not looking forward to it.]

[It really is all a pleasant - if morbid - joke to Wolfe, though with Fenris' deflection, he's now a little curious if the elf actually is hiding something other than a distaste for not having a license to kill. He doesn't bring it up just now though. Fenris has always been taciturn. It could be something very simple and private and none of his business, after all. Like an uncomfortable rash.]

They do get rather rancid after a while.

[It's good Wolfe gets this. He appreciates the lack of prodding. If he can, he'll avoid it as long as possible. He has no doubt it won't be a fun conversation for them when it finally happens. ]

Really though, it's... sort of nice being on a ship with a mix of old and new friends instead of all new faces.

True. I have found the people aboard the Tourist to be largely friendly. I like them, anyway.

I do see what you mean though. I've met Jarvis and Pavel and they're both very nice. And Kirk, of course. Who else do we have on board?

Yes. They have made me very happy here.

There's Kara- she's very pleasant, does the best she can for everyone. Kitty very often visits, she may as well be an honorary member of the crew. Claire is new, but she seems pleasant enough.

[More teasing, but the mention of Kitty brings a smile to Wolfe's face.]

Right, Kitty. I ran into her earlier actually. She was my captain before being reassigned. Well, co-captain.

She's a good woman. She was uh... in a relationship with one of our crew, hence why she was always here. He left, but she still comes to visit-and honestly, she's more than welcome to.
