There was an alien—a Black Mercy that my aunt's husband unleashed on my. It's a psychic parasite, basically. It latches onto your body and projects what you want most in the world... so you'll happily stay there and it can feed off of you. It took a lot of intervention to get it off of me.

I'm just saying, it wouldn't be entirely foreign to me if something like that was happening here.
