[With the tragedy of Lyuku and the entire Eyuzi system behind the Fleet, the crew of the Blue Fish and their friends are now settling into a new routine while they drift along in the relative safety of space.

As one of the few ships that didn't suffer a loss of crew during their little excursion, the crew can safely go about their duties, unless something attacks that is.]

I take it you have technology similar to this in your own world?

Yeah, the comms are kind of like the phones we have back home. They work about the same- texting, calling, taking pictures and stuff... like pocket computers, more or less. Probably part of what keeps this place from being too overwhelming.

Welcome to the modern age. If you get stuck anywhere, just say so- I'm kind of an unashamed nerd so I probably know too much about this sort of thing than is socially acceptable... I don't think the comms are that different.

Quite a few different specializations of it, actually. Thaumaturgy and Necromancy are my specialties, though I'm rather proficient in elemental magic, as well.

[ Not so much the healing or defense magic, though he can throw up a decent barrier. ]

Isn't necromancy working with the dead and stuff? You don't summon zombies, do you?

It's a common misconception, it can't be helped. Necromancy is less about the reanimation of physical bodies and more about the binding of spirits that are drawn to death.
