( a. ) planetside; HIDE AND GO SEEK.
[ To say Marian Hawke has been having a bad few days might be putting things a little lightly. She has a terrible few weeks, even a month! It's been one thing after another with little bright spots in between. Tiny little spots, practically swallowed by the rest of the shit in between.
Today is not exception. After having the wonderful idea of wandering off by herself Hawke has found herself in a pickle, one of many future pickles she is sure, a rather annoying one at that. Curled up in a tree, hugging her staff, watching as the four Vizeiri men comb the undergrowth for her. They're mad, she understands that, most people get angry when you throw a fireball in their faces but she had hoped they would have lost interest by now. Maybe the fireball made it personal, or maybe they're really hungry?
Either way she's stuck, unable to throw another spell or risk passing out from lack of mana, and to tired to physically put up a fight. ]
This was a terrible idea.
( b. ) planetside; DEAR CANNIBALS, I'M NAPPING COME BACK LATER.
[ Eventually there is no fighting off sleep. Mana deprivation, lack of sleep, exhaustion in her limbs, all of it slams into her like a tone of bricks. Any longer and she is like to pass out in the open and become some cannibals meal. So she searches for some sort of shelter, something to keep her safe from wandering Vizeiri or any other predators out there.
Unfortunately all she finds a small outcropping of rocks half hidden by some underbrush. Better than nothing right? It is by no means comfortable but she is so tired that she could barely care, crawling into the space and collapsing into a ball, staff held close to her chest. Sleep comes quickly, though not before she leaves a parting note, just in case:
DEAR CANNIBAL, MONSTER, OR OTHERWORLDLY BEING,
I AM VERY TIRED AND DECIDED TO TAKE A NAP
IF YOU TRULY WISH TO DEVOUR ME PLEASE COME BACK LATER
YOURS TRULY,
MARIAN HAWKE
Perfect. ]
( c. ) planetside; I'M NOT LOST, YOU'RE LOST.
[ Perhaps she was heading back with you to one of the crashed ship, or perhaps she was leading you to somewhere relatively safe. Whatever it was it has gone incredibly awry and she is now incredibly lost. She had marked that tree at least half an hour ago and she has passed it at least four times. Oh, this is bad, this is terrible. Being lost is always irritating but being lost on a planet full of cannibals? A hundred times worse, at least!
Frustrated Hawke plops down on a nearby moss covered rock, scowling at the ground. ]
This isn't my fault, I just want to let you know that in case we get ambushed by lunatics.

For a moment Hawke debates attacking him when he is distracted, but instead her fingers lay still.
There is a feeling in the air, something that comes off the eerily still man (?????) arranging his things upon the ground. It's familiar, a sensation most only feel in their dreams but for Hawke? Well, she's felt it before. It reminds her of the feeling she got whenever Justice would surface in Anders, that traces of the Fade that surrounded him. But it couldn't be Justice, right? They were separated ages go and the spirit seemingly returned to the Fade, or at least that is what they all hoped.
Still...
Running a hand through her hair she tries to shake the feeling in vain, faking some sort of yawn. ]
Morning.

Justice almost corrects her--it is not morning, it is midday, turning to afternoon--but then he remembers that 'morning' is just a general greeting for when someone wakes up after sleeping. So he lets go of that correction and nods to acknowledge her, though he doesn't look up from his project.]
To you as well.
[He pulls his bag towards him, eyes still fixed on the items on the ground, and pulls out a bottle of water. It is untouched because he doesn't drink water, but he's kept it around for the mortals he might encounter. He holds it out to her in offering. He remembers Anders telling him that drinking water is much more important for a mortal than eating food.] I hope you rested enough. One should not stay in a single place for long out here.
no subject
Without giving it much thought Hawke reaches for the bottle, quick to unscrew and take a long drink. She hadn't realized how much she needed it until she started drinking, the liquid more than a little refreshing. The bottle is practically empty by the time she answers him, a little breathless but certainly content. ]
It could have been better, sleeping on dirt has never really been comfortable. [ There is dirt in her hair now mixing in with leaves and blood, not a bad look really. ] But nothing tried to eat me as I slept so it was pretty good.
[ It's the little victories. ]
no subject
That is perhaps the best you can ask here. [Justice runs his fingers over each of the items he has put on the ground, focusing on the memories, pulling the flashes together. Yes, maybe he can work with this.] Have you seen any particular landmarks during your wandering of these woods?
no subject
Well, it's kind of a distraction. Something else to think about rather than her own paranoid thoughts, at the very least. ]
Landmarks? [ She glances out at the forest that surrounds them, biting her bottom lip searching her memories. ] I did pass a large rock that looked like the tip of a sword.
no subject
Would it be possible for you to lead me to it?
[Maybe the items will help him find his way from there. Maybe they can lead him to the Vieziri camps.]
no subject
Sure, why not.
no subject
[Justice gathers all the artifacts and puts them in his bag. He can still hear them humming in there, though it is muffled. He stands and nods for her to take the lead.] Were you searching for shelter? I can tell you where a shipwreck is after we find the rock.
no subject
Huh? [ Standing her hand a little she glances over at him then the area around them. ] Sort of. No, not really. I was looking for trouble, if I am being honest.
[ Which way was it again? Uh... oh! That way! She starts moving as she speaks, heading in the direction she is sure the rock was. ]
no subject
But questionable wisdom or not, he’s still going to follow her. The rock should be helpful, after all, and if she’s just looking for a fight, maybe she can assist him if he catches onto the location of a camp.]
