[The video opens to what appears to be only Riona and Anders, standing shoulder to shoulder. Someone paying attention might notice someone else behind them, purposefully hidden.

Riona and Anders look a bit excited, and quite pleased. She glances over her shoulder briefly at someone, but her head still blocks most of the shot. When she turns back, she’s grinning.]

Ladies and gentlemen of the fleet, there’s someone we’d like you to meet. Or, maybe reintroduce for some of you.

[Anders steps aside, giving a grand wave to the person behind them and finally revealing him their captive audience.

It’s an unfamiliar and very attractive man with swept back hair and piercing blue eyes. (The shade of which may be familiar to anyone who might have known Anders back when he had a glowing problem.) The man in question has a seemingly perpetual frown on his face, standing stiffly without actually moving. He’s so still that it’s almost like he’s not breathing. (And those who know him, even if they don’t recognize him, might pick up on the note of vague confusion in the furrow of his brow. He does not know why this has become such a production, but it’s past the point when it’s worth the effort to restrain his friends.)

Anders’ grin could light up a room. It’s clear the two Wardens are very pleased with themselves.]

Please give a warm welcome to Justice: new and improved. For those of you who know him, Riona and I decided it was time for a bit of a makeover; something to improve over ‘dead and decaying.’ Those of you that might not have met him yet, you should! He’s really very nice.

[And now a 100% more approachable.

Justice, for his part, glances at Anders with slightly narrowed eyes. Anders, are you trying to make friends for him? He’s pretty sure you’re trying to make friends for him. Oh well. He dips his head towards the camera, and when he speaks, it’s the same deep rumble as before.] Greetings. If you did not know what to call me prior, I was the spirit who appeared to be dead.

[Riona nods, and wryly adds:] You may remember him as looking like a walking corpse who doesn't blink. We didn't want people to be putoff by his appearance anymore. Hard to get to know people and mingle with mortals when everyone thinks you're an undead shambler.

So say hello and chat him up. Or just ogle him. [She gives a wink and a wave.]

[She actually responds pretty well to him being open and upfront with these things. Maybe it's because she grew up with some weird socialization herself. Maybe it's because she's had more than one close android friend in her time in these places. She kind of gets it.]

Hmm... Did you pay them? That helps. [But it's still really hard not to make the jokes.]

[Guess who sucks at knowing when someone is joking?]

Friends are not meant to do that. Are they?

[Justice thiiiiinks he would have noticed that by now, but he knows that he's still learning new seemingly obvious things every day.]

[Her lips struggle not to smirk too much at that.] No. I was teasing. Sarcasm and I are old friends.

[Oh, okay. That makes sense.] I see. I am not good at identifying sarcasm.

[He says, as if that weren't abundantly obvious.] I usually assume that anything a mortal says that seems ridiculous or out of character is probably a joke, but it is still not intuitive. [Especially with people he doesn't know too well, though he appreciates the opportunity to keep trying.]

That's what makes it so much fun to use it.

I guess it would be extra hard here when you're out of your world and so many things are just honestly ridiculous on the face of it. [She feels you, buddy. But she'll probably tease on.]

That is true. It is more difficult here than it was before.

Fortunately, most of the mortals I have encountered are willing to specify whether they were joking or not when it is clear that I do not understand. [Or at least he thinks that's the case. It's also possible that he's entirely missed a ton of jokes and no one has told him.]

That's nice of them, though I'm kind of getting that you wouldn't know if they didn't, right? But then if you didn't no harm. [Probably?]

I'll do my best to play nice though. Anders cares about you and I guess I like that guy. [Smiling.]

You are friends with Anders, then? [Justice will choose to take that as a good sign, even though 'Anders' friends' haven't turned out to get along with Justice too well so far.] Did you meet here?

I am and we did. He showed up calling out, "kitty" for a cat. How could I resist?

Why would calling 'kitty' summon you? [Is she a shapeshifted cat?

...Yes, that's where Justice's head goes.]

It's my name. Kitty Pryde.

I see. I did not know that humans were named Kitty. [He says it bluntly, like it doesn't even occur to him that that may be rude to say.] I imagine Anders was quite pleased by that.

I'm not human and it's short for Katherine. [For her part she doesn't sound offended.] He seemed very pleased. Easiest friendship ever.
