Who: Anders + Open
Broadcast: Yes
Action: Tourist, if desired. In the Cargo bay
When: Now
[Anders wasn't the type to post to the network all that often, but he's also not usually in a position to need to ask for help, so, network it is.
There's a touch of uncertainty and hesitation to his baring when he starts the feed and, instead of being in the Tourist's clinic or one of the gardens as he usually is, he's in the ship's cargo bay. Open space seemed like the best thing for what he was trying to practice.]
The gifts Atroma delivered to us seem thoughtful enough, considering, but I find myself in need of some help with mine. I thought I could perhaps figure it out myself, but it hasn't worked out so far.
I know the terms are familiar to those from Thedas, but just in case they're familiar to anyone else: I'd like to speak to anyone who knows about 'Arcane Warriors' and 'Knight Enchanters.' I need help applying my knowledge of one to the other.
[A brief pause.]
To anyone else, I'm in need of a sparring partner. Anyone skilled with a blade willing to help out would be welcome. Thank you.
[And now he waits. He hasn't breathed a word about the Spirit Hilt sent to him...and knows there's some who didn't even know he could wield a sword, much less had in the past. Really, there were only two that would.
But desperate times and all that.]

[ It certainly reminds her of what it was like to travel with Vivienne, and she wonders, for a moment, about the things that the other woman taught her, trying to think back on the tidbits of conversation that they'd shared over the hours. Madame liked to talk about her own magic, of course, and the potential it held for the Circles, but Leilani had always tuned that part out.
Humming, she considers, thoughtful. ]
I'm trying to think of what Vivienne did with her magic once her blade was summoned. She used to... Use the sword, I think, to create a circle around herself and used her own magic to have it slow people down so they couldn't get to her. That always made her sword stronger, too. You could try doing something like that?

[They were on opposite sides of the mage's political spectrum and he suspected the two of them in a room together would be worse than he and Fenris in a room together, but he did have to admire her climb to power and all on her own merit.
He hums in consideration as well, thinking through what she says. He didn't have an ability like that as an Arcane Warrior, but he had his glyph or paralysis. Perhaps with enough practice and experimentation of mana balances, he could figure it out.]
I'll have to try that.
Did she ever...did it ever seem as though enemies would pass through her at times?

[ And she had been genuinely terrifying. Leilani had no great love of the circles - being an apostate elven mage probably did that to a person - but she respected Vivienne for who she was. Her determination was something to be feared, to be sure.
She wishes, at least, she could be a little more helpful, but all of her studies in magic were tied to the rifts and to the Fade - and to Solas, too, which she's somewhat bitter about. ]
... Sometimes. I wasn't sure if that was just magic or her being incredibly scary.

Perhaps a bit of both.
But, certainly, some magic as well because that was something I could do at one time as an Arcane Warrior. I'll have to try that again.
Anything else you can think of? It's alright if the answer is no.
