[The feed starts with a loud bang as Vash's communicator tumbles over and over until it bounces twice on the ground before coming to a rest.] GET BACK HERE YOU FLEA BITTEN- [A black cat darts past the screen and there is the sound of loud thumping feet.] -SPAWN OF SATAN! THAT IS MY LUNCH! [Whoops there goes the cat again with a piece of meat dangling out of her mouth.

Only this time there's an arm that successfully catches the cat by the scuff of her neck.] GOTCHA! I thought I got rid of you on the last planet. How long have you been on this ship for anyway?

[Vash looks down and notices the communicator is recording. He holds the cat up to the camera as it calmly chews on the stolen piece of meat. She seems pretty content to just hang in his arm for the moment.] Anyone want a mangy cat? [He's not serious. Just annoyed.

Vash will either be on the Twin Roses or at his job at the Space Bar. His job in a kitchen. Where he thinks he left the cat back on the Roses. A cat in the kitchen is a terrible place for a cat to be. So it's a good thing that the cat isn't here-]

[He certainly didn't need his communicator to be on to hear the chaos going on further in the ship, and when there was no following explosions, or the ship suddenly diving towards another planet, Remy strolled his way over to find out what the noise was.

Accompanied by his own cats. One was perched up on his shoulder as the other two trailed behind, bumping their heads into his legs once he stopped to survey the scene.]

Seriously? I thought ya knew. She been playin' with m' three for 'while now. [Remy had just assumed it was yet another ship pet.]

Really? [Vash scowls at the cat in his hand before sighing and setting her on the ground. He didn't really want the bit of meat now anyway. It was just the principal of the thing. Meat wasn't exactly easy to come by now that they were drifting.]

When I saw that my "gift" was a living animal I tried to give her away on the snow planet. I figured we had enough animals on the ship and I don't want a pet. I guess she followed me back. I had no idea she was here.

[Oliver jumped down from Remy's shoulder as all three of the cats moved in to inspect the black one, figuring out what it had before commencing a fun 'chase the leader' after that meat around the room. Remy hoped they would stick to just playing, his cats were 'hunting cats' from one of the previous planets, even if they were runts of the litter and 'no good' for that job.]

Ya sure they didn't just teleport it back on the ship once we left, like it does for people who try 'nd stay behind?

[Kuroneko is no hunting cat, but she's grown up on the dusty world of Gunsmoke. Where every meal is usually a fight for survival. She takes her bit of meat and scampers away. The chase the leader is fun at first, but she will eventually try to jump up high in an "off limit" are as if to see if the other cats are willing to follow her up here.]

Huh, maybe. I actually didn't think about that. Why would they care if I keep a cat on the ship or not?

[Lucifer made a jump for the same space, but it was only to move over and bump heads with Kuroneko, either full enough or having enough of the game to not go after the food, perching up instead to clean himself. The other two began to wander off as well, Figaro moving back to Remy to wrap around his ankles.]

What it always be down to with them, ratin's mon ami, ratin's. We be the entertainment, remember, 'nd if the audience be 'nything like people back home, small 'nd fluffy stuff always be a popular choice.

[Kuroneko braces and gets ready to jump down, but relaxes when it's clear Lucifer is done with the game. He takes a nice big bite of the meat and starts to chew. Now that she's had her big bite she's ready to share should any of the cats decide to join in.]

But I don't care if I have a pet or not. I just thought it would be better for her to live somewhere stable. How is that really going to help their ratings? I really don't get how these ratings things work.

I don't really know how they work back home, let 'lone here. Merde, still question if there be an audience at all sometimes or we just been shoved together for no reason. [Before Remy gave a shrug of a shoulder as he leaned against the doorway.] But that line of thinkin' hardly be useful for our situation.

I mean, it seems like a good cat, maybe a little too possessive about food, [Kuroneko certainly seemed to know when Remy was feeding his cats and make a grab for it.] But ain't bad. Though do guess we don't want to start out numberin' the people in this ship with animals.

[Chuuya is down for any furry friend they ever have on board, but this time it's a little different because this one seems to piss Vash off and Chuuya is absolutely here for that. He crosses his arms and laughs loudly.]

Oh, you didn't know? We decided to replace you! Twin Roses needed a cute mascot for our captain!

Great! [Vash says with a devious smile.] If that's the case and you brought her back on board the ship then you can take care of her! [Said as he dumps the cat in Chuuya's arms. Or if Chuuya won't take the cat in his arms onto his shoulder she will go.

Vash is annoyed, but he's not about to let the poor thing be dropped straight onto the floor.]

[He will absolutely hold the cat! Chuuya looked at her curiously and yes, he'll converse with her.]

Do you eat steak? Wait, cats probably like the finest tuna! I'll feed you whatever you want! Unless it's Vash' underpants. I won't allow that - That's just wrong.

[Kuroneko purrs in Chuuya's arms and gets herself comfortable. Vash meanwhile scoffs and starts to clean up the mess the two just made in the kitchen.]

Yeah, well, don't get too use to her. Next planet we come to that is a good climate for cats I'm finding her a new home. I didn't ask for a pet cat.

[He's not against the ship being full of pets, he just doesn't feel the need to be one of them.] This time I'll make sure she's not on board before we take off.

[Too bad he doesn't know the Kuroneko will ALWAYS find her way back somehow.]

[Says the guy who wouldn't know but will defend her anyway! It's nice not being the grumpy one for once! Chuuya strokes Kuroneko's little chin. Back to talking to the cat.]

I'm not kidding. She'll be better off on a planet with a family to look after her anyway.

I mean, have you seen the crew on this ship? They're kind of weird. [Yes he's talking about all of them as Kuroneko happily lifts her chin up so Chuuya can scratch the good spot. Oh, yes, right there! Purring intensifies!]

Yeah, a long name for a cat if you ask me.

I don't know if I would classify myself as a dog or cat person. I think I'm a: I like pets, but I tend to be too busy and sporadic to want to keep one type of guy.
