[Thor's already been here a few times, so when Sokka starts taking his own wares into the hall to sell he's happy enough to help with carrying them. Especially the ones that would usually be a two-person job. When he sets down the statue at the right place, he puts his hands on his hips and stares at it some more... then shakes his head.]

Does it have a name?

[Because he can't figure out what it's meant to be. Maybe a name would help.]

[He's a good friend, he really is. Sokka leans back to look at the ugly, misshapen monstrosity, putting a hand to his chin in pantomime thought. ]

I think it needs a really good, strong name. Like "thunderstorms over the icy blue" OH OH OH or maybe "SLASHINATOR!!!"

[Thor looks at it. Continues looking at it. What exactly says 'thunderstorms' about this? He can't work it out. And he's an expert on the subject.]

It doesn't have any sharp points though.

[This is the angle he's going with. It's lumpy, Sokka.]

[Sokka looks at him like he's grown an extra head, before pointing at an especially lump bit.]

What are you talking about, that's absolutely a sharp bit.

[It's not. At all. Even if you squint. ]

[Oh my god??]

I will grant you that it looks like a cloud, perhaps, but that is not sharp.

It's totally sharp. You look at it and think YUP THUNDERSTORM'S HAPPENING.

[No. No you do not. ]

Sokka, I have looked at this... statue, for a while now. [Maybe an hour tops, but who's counting? Thor points at it.] And I am telling you, it does not look like a thunderstorm.

You ought to trust me on this, as the god of thunder.

Okay, okay, you're an expert on thunder, I'll give you that.

[He leans in, pointing at the (blatantly not a) thunderstorm part of it again. ]

But you've got to think outside the box. Think "wow what does it feel like to be in a thunderstorm?" and then look at that. You'll get it.

I know how that feels. It does not feel like that looks. Where's the energy, the feeling of power?

[Sokka looks at it again, squinting. ]

You're seriously not getting it? But I worked on this for like a week.

I'm not. Which means I won't be the one buying it.

[Some other lucky customer can have that honour. He casts a look around the rest of the crafter's hall, seeing the other traders bringing in their goods.]

With the crowds this place draws though, I don't think you'll have an issue finding someone who will.

[Just maybe someone who's into super abstract art.]

That's okay, I can find a customer more into abstract art, it's cool.

[He's not upset the coolest guy in the Fleet doesn't like his art. Coolcoolcool.]

Oh yeah, there's all kinds. They'd probably just dig some human art.

They likely won't have had any around here before. [Despite all the similarities the locals have to humans, Thor doesn't assume they are. After all, Thor looks human and he's anything but.] There are some weaponsmiths selling their wares too.

Aww, come on, man. Let me keep the dream alive.

[He nods. ]

Yeah, I think I'll aim more for the weapon side of things. I'll probably sell more of those. Fighting overrides art, I guess.

[Except no sane person would call what Sokka does 'art'. ]

I'm definitely more interested in that than the art.

[Even if he's seen some nice wares, and might buy some later for his own purposes.]

Though they can be both.

Oh yeah, they sure can. I've seen some really beautiful weapons in my time. Lovely and deadly!

I may get one, if I see something worthy of purchase. The swords seem to be of good make.

They really are. I've got to up my sword-making game, I think, to match these.

I don't believe I've seen any swords you have made. I know we've discussed your work in the forge.

[Thor just hasn't seen any of it himself.]

You'll have to drop by sometime to have a look. I have a couple ready for sale anyway, normal ones, not commissioned ones.

Of course. I intend to replace the sword I got on Lato'li, with something of better make.

Now that sounds like a fun project. I'd be on that like a rash.

[He's still going to look at all the sellers here, but--]

I may make a request then.

[Give him a project Thor. He grins, happy at the chance to make something for him. Man, he would make ANY weapon look cool, just by holding it. ]

Great! I'll absolutely do it!!!

I'll let you know the details later. For now, you had best work on selling this... this.
