Other than those things? The work is good. Engineers and mechanics are in high demand here... usually I need to take jobs that I'm not so good at if I want to be busy. [Cold, science, and plenty of work that caters to his skillset. Truly a recipe for happiness.] You would be able to find work easily if you get bored with the warmer planets.

Yeah, I was thinking I should probably get one. Stock up on supplies while we're here. Get some more upgrades for the ship. I don't have as much money pouring in on it's own as I used to. [Though she has her moments.]

Are you implying that your life needs more drama, Kitty?

[She laughs.] It's been so humdrum up to now.

I, for one, enjoy how uneventful life has been recently.

Representatives who thought that we could be entertaining without being in immediate danger? I miss them.

So do I. But maybe this was always the plan. Lull us into a false sense of security and then keep hitting us. Granted, with all the coming and going I wouldn't think it would have quite the same impact.

Speaking as someone who missed most of the lull, I agree. I almost find quiet systems more shocking than the shocking systems.

The lull was kind of nice. I didn't think I'd like that kind of life, you know? I figured I needed the danger and challenge.

I think that if your life stayed too quiet for too long, you would still get bored. I would, and I'm probably accustomed to slightly less excitement than you are.

Mmm, I'm sure you're right. I probably had other reasons for appreciating that time. [Falling in love. Currently, she'd probably prefer a distraction or ten. Of course whenever they get one and it goes away again she's just left thinking about what she left off thinking.]

Yes, right. [He can think of one major reason she had for appreciating that time that has nothing to do with traumatic planets.] There will be other times to appreciate in the future, I hope.
