Yeah... But at least we don't have to be friendly back.

[ She reloads her shotgun, looks all around them for the first signs of movement - except it all seems to happen at once. A whole lot of bugs come bursting into the tunnel from the walls, the ceiling, up from the ground... they're surrounded. But, hey, at least they're just bugs.

Rose has definitely already shown that she can handle these things with ease, so - time to squash these damn things as they come! Jayden's got her shotgun to keep the ones on her side from getting too close, but if anything does manage, she's not afraid to channel some lightning into her fist and throw a few punches. The resulting bug guts are of course kinda gross, but hey, it gets the job done.

... Yeah, this is some pretty good stress relief after all~ ]

[Stress relief it definitely is. When Rose sees how many are coming for them, she closes her eyes and starts to concentrate. Bugs might not be the prettiest monsters in the world, but they tended to be easier to exterminate. Especially when they group up like this.]

[A few moments later, Rose finishes her spell. A ball of light appears and explodes, sending shockwaves throughout the corridor. Whatever bugs are still alive are stunned for the time being, and once again silence fills the corridor as Rose smiles.]

You know, I can't remember the last time I had this much fun here.

[ Jayden wasn't expecting a spell, especially one of that caliber, but she's definitely not complaining! She takes advantage of the stun and fires at one of the ones that survived. ]

Beats the hell out of the usual drama, yeah. [ She turns to Rose and nods. ] Nice move, by the way. Magic?

[And that earns a nod of approval from Rose. It's nice to be working with someone who's able to carry their weight so efficiently.]

In a manner of speaking, yes. It draws from a form of healing arts in my homeworld. Of course, there are also other uses.

[Like killing things!]

[ This is going pretty well so far, if you ask her - two people who clearly know what they're doing and make a pretty good team? She could get used to that. ]

I can see that. [ Amused smirk ] Remind me to stay on your good side.

[Rose seems about to say something else when there's a massive earthquake that rocks the area they're in. Of course, it can't ever be as easy as 'kill a swarm of bugs,' can it?]

Did you feel that? Something's coming.

[ She definitely felt it. It's difficult to tell where it might have originated, but there are only two ways for them to go - forward, or backward. She looks either way down the tunnel. ]

Probably something mean. Should we wait for it to come to us, or try finding it first?

[ Either way, she's got plenty of ammo left. ]
