[Tyrion is behind the bar of the Malun, hands folded over his ledger as he gives the camera a deep and pensive look, before he flashes a bright smile, mischief twinkling in his mis-matched eyes.]

So let me ask you something, fellow Fleeters. How precisely does one go about finding a 'lady friend' for entertainment outside of one's ship? I have been told by no less than three friends that I should have female companionship and yet I have no idea if anyone is interested or in fact, would ever be interested. I believe in your more modern parlances you have the joy of choice over your partners, something I have always envied. So how does a man, who looks like myself, find someone who wants to spend time with him in a romantic fashion without promising money and or a noble title?

[He folds his small hands around his bearded face, leaning forward.] I am listening. Intently.

Well ... after I ran off to find Daenarys, she was absconded by Littlefinger. He apparently brought her to marry her off to Ramsey Bolton.

[Her eyes widen.] Isn't that the person who tortured Theon? [She's hoping "Ramsey" is just a common name. But she remembers how shattered Theon seemed when he returned briefly after gaining new memories.]

... Yes. Yes he was. Theon's torturer was my wife's new husband.

I thought she seemed different, but I only really talked to her once before. Is she okay? [Probably none of her business but she's concerned. She wishes her family were still here for her.]

She survived. She is made of iron, under all that soft, pale skin. [Is there more than one hint of admiration? Yes there is.]

I do not think she will ever be 'okay', but will she be ready to love again? Apparently so. As she wanted to be with ... me.

[A pause, and added.] I am eight years older than her.

Oh! That's not bad at all. Winn's nine or ten years older than me. [She'll just pretend that's normal for everyone. And of course said like she's still in a relationship with a man she hasn't seen in nine months and may never see again. Details.] I guess it depends if he's still aging where he is.

I did think she looked older. I wasn't sure how much or how old she was before, but I was still thinking younger than Robb.

On the other hand...does she kind of hate you right now?

... yes she rather does and I have rather made an unholy mess of this all. Gracious, perhaps I should have stuck with the single life.

Mmm...well, my earlier advice aside the single life really sucks. At least it does if it's not what you really want.

Now that you both know where you stand maybe you can move forward. She knows you're not really her husband though, right? I mean, you can't be if you're from different worlds.

Maybe. First I have to come up with a decent enough apology to see if she would like me to.

Maybe she'll be more receptive to one after she cools off.

I'm sure you aren't the first to do that and you don't even know you did. Maybe you can work it out. But honestly? If this is enough to put her off for good then it might be for the best. You'd want to be able to be honest with someone you're with, right? [And she knows some of that past of his.]

I cannot deny the truth of this... so I shall make you a deal. If she tries to make me change, at all, outside of changes I have already made? Then I shall call the whole thing off.

Sounds good. I mean...unless it's something small and reasonable maybe? Relationships do involve a certain amount of mutual compromise. But you still have to accept someone for who they are and for who they were.
