Who: Fenris and YOU
Broadcast: Fleetwide
Action: Nariba Relia
When: During their time on the planet
[Action]
[This city make Fenris uneasy- he knows he's not the only one, not by a long shot. Anything abandoned that quickly has to have something unfortunate underlying it all. The fact that everything resets itself is only more cause for concern. Is it some kind of time loop? Were he in Exsilium, that would have been his first thought.
He can be found on the days while they're here, wandering around the system tense- muscles coiled and ready for a fight at every turn. He doesn't indulge in the free offerings, and gives heavy glares to anyone who does so in his presence. He avoids the movie theatre and carnival on principle, but he might be tempted over there, if the right person were to ask.]
[Network]
[Fenris can't remember the last time he actually made a post on the network. It's not something he tends to do, he rarely uses the blighted thing at all, if he can help it. He's never been one for drawing too much attention to himself.]
Has anyone else observed the changeover yet? I attempted it last night, but it went by far too quickly.
[And that's it, no hello, no goodbye. Brief and to the point as always.]

action
[He spent almost a year of his life time travelling, this- this he has no issue buying.]
It would make sense, with that is going on. Though it does move to the question of what set it off. Where are the people?
Re: action
If they were there I would think they would be part of the time cycle. Maybe it was an experiment of some sort, or perhaps something went wrong.
[ He shook his head. ]
It's hard to say without more information. We might be able to find something more in the town, but if we have time to do anything about it, or if we even should...
action
[This is exactly why he doesn't trust technology. ]
From all your time here, has there ever been a case where we haven't meddled? As a group? I'm fairly certain that much is inevitable.
Re: action
Perhaps. Again, just... not enough.
[ The frustration was clear in his voice, but he shook his head, clearing it away. He had something else in mind for today, after all, tucked in a little bag in his pocket. He laughed at the comment though, because, well... ]
It is one of my faults, I admit. I am a meddler, through and through. I don't like not having answers.
action
Re: action
Maybe. I guess I just... want to find a way to help. If we can. I know there are times we need to step back, but if there’s something we can do.. well, shouldn’t we?
[ he shrugged, grunting as the shuttle landed and he stood to get out. ]
At least the scenery is nice, if you discount the creepy time-looped town.
action
[And creepy time shenanigans. Those too.]
...I suppose it is. It's nice nothing is trying to kill us.
Re: action
That is true. I suppose I’m just curious then - about why and how. This sort of thing should have some sort of reading somewhere.
[ He glanced towards the town, giving a frustrated sigh. ]
Well, it’s not why I wanted to come down today, no matter how mysterious it is.
[ He nodded his head towards the wilderness surrounding the town. ]
Want to see what we can find?
action
Certainly. No point staying up here out of the way of it all.
Re: action
[ He nodded and adjusted his own pack to walk with him, his pocket weighing heavy as he debated when to bring it up to Fenris. They were on good ground right now, and he didn't want to loose the opportunity. Knowing how things could go sometimes between them, and knowing that anything could happen, well - better late than never, probably. He duck inside his jacket and pulled out a small pouch, holding it out towards Fenris. ]
Here, for good luck.
[ Inside was a pendant on a bit of cord. It looked a bit like a coin, a wolf's head stamped in, the eye the shape of the Star Fleet symbol. On the back were two sets of numbers - ones to match the numbers on Kirk's arm, and another set, a bit longer. ]
action
[He opens it, carefully, eyes widening as he sees what is inside. It's...very well crafted, and he can see the importance of it in a heartbeat. A small smile crosses his face as his fingers trace the pendant reverently. He knows the first number well, but the second...]
This is beautiful, thank you. I- I admit I am not sure what these represent. [He taps the second set of numbers. ]
Re: action
Ah, well. I know it's a long shot. So remote it might as well be a star we can't even see, but... but if you ever end up lost, out in the stars, that's my personal call number. I'll come find you.
[ It sounded cliche and dorky even to his own ears, and it was the truth. He knew it was remote that Fenris would end up in a place with Star Fleet unless he managed to come back with Kirk himself, but still - he liked to think Fenris would appreciate the meaning. ]
action
[It means a lot to him. Moreso than he can truly put into words. He moves over, putting a hand to Kirk's cheek, leaning in to press a gentle kiss against his lips. ]
Thank you. It's a truly wonderful gift.
[He'll go about putting it on, even. ]
Re: action
[ Kirk blinked at the kiss, but smiled and returned it gently, touching his finger's to Fenris'. His smile widened when the necklace went right on, glad he had picked something the other would like. ]
I'm glad you like it. I needed to find someone as wonderful as the scarf you made me. I hoped this would do the trick.
[ Not because he had to, but because he wanted to. Because Fenris meant so much to him, even if he could never find the right way to actually say it. ]
action
[It's so gosh darn fancy.]
So. Shall we?
Re: action
[ He chuckled, and didn't argue further, though he hardly thought so. He hefted his pack and nodded. ]
Been awhile since I've done some real terra exploration. Takes me back to the old days.
action
Re: action
[ He nodded, another shudder running through him. ]
And the animals. Those aren't natural. I've been all over and I've never seen anything like that. There's no biological function for how any of these... animals look or move about.
[ Especially not the antelope. God, not the antelope. They just LOOKED like they were in pain. ]
action
[The antelope are the worst. ]
Re: action
I can't argue with that. As much as I'm for discovery this place... well, some places you just shouldn't tread to long.
[ He adjusted his bag, keeping in step with his lover. ]
It's a shame. This would be a lovely place for an afternoon out if not for them. Or the creepy town.
action
[He hates this whole place, it just gets his back up. ]
Still, come on, let's just- see what we can see.
