[This city make Fenris uneasy- he knows he's not the only one, not by a long shot. Anything abandoned that quickly has to have something unfortunate underlying it all. The fact that everything resets itself is only more cause for concern. Is it some kind of time loop? Were he in Exsilium, that would have been his first thought.

He can be found on the days while they're here, wandering around the system tense- muscles coiled and ready for a fight at every turn. He doesn't indulge in the free offerings, and gives heavy glares to anyone who does so in his presence. He avoids the movie theatre and carnival on principle, but he might be tempted over there, if the right person were to ask.]

[Network]

[Fenris can't remember the last time he actually made a post on the network. It's not something he tends to do, he rarely uses the blighted thing at all, if he can help it. He's never been one for drawing too much attention to himself.]

Has anyone else observed the changeover yet? I attempted it last night, but it went by far too quickly.

[It wasn't so much that they were exploring the area together so much as they'd left separately and happened upon each other about a block back. Now they were in one of the stores that seemed to host everything from clothing materials to food to tools and Anders had picked up one of the pears. Much to Fenris' apparent discontent?? Not that Fenris disapproving of something Anders randomly does is at all strange still, despite everything. Anders turns as he catches the look and shrugs, brow raised.]

What? It's a piece of fruit.

A piece of fruit that has been cultivated by no one- that seemingly appears from nothing. Isn't that even a little suspicious to you?

[Not like their Fleet food comes from nowhere, either, of course.]

_{[ The planet creeped him out. End of story. Period. Do not collect two hundred dollars. Everything about the town made him twitch, his mind racing with possible reasons, not enough data, not enough solid answers. Yes, it made him twitch. But nonetheless he wanted to explore. Add into it the fact he wanted to spend some more time with Fenris, especially after their last tiff on the other planet over that mafia business,

It wasn't exactly a romantic notion, but he did have a notion in mind. Which was why he came to Fenris' door on the ship and knocked, already dressed to go down to the planet. ]}

[Alphinaud is also unsettled by the planet and its consequence-free offers. Something about it seems just wrong, and he isn't sure what he thinks of the food, besides. Fenris walks by while Alphinaud is in what can be considered the city center, with a pencil in one hand, and a sketchbook in the other.

The tattoos don't even faze him. Fenris is obviously his people, even if slightly shorter people; Alphinaud is four and a half feet tall so he can't judge here. He even has a posh accent.]

I beg your pardon, but might you know which direction bears north?

[Fenris was already preparing to traverse the planet again, so when he answers the door, his armour is already on. He doubts there will be any real trouble, but it's better to be safe than sorry. He offers Kirk a brief smile, at least. ]

I was going to head down dirt side. Would you like to come with me? I thought about maybe exploring a bit outside the town.

[Fenris is never, and will never be, a fan of other elves. He instantly tenses as Alphinaud comes closer, expecting some elf-y bullshit question he has no intention of answering. Luckily, it's not, and he exhales.

He turns, pointing. ]

Certainly, I was headed that way myself. I want to try and understand more of what is happening here.

Hmm. It doesn't make any sense. Why does the food keep being replenished, if there's no one living here to eat it?

[Of course it is, and given how wound tight he seems, she discerns that he's extremely uneasy about being here. She smiles on purpose, hoping to try and relax him a fraction.]

At least no crowds? No one pushing you in line, or bumping into you. Nice and quiet, too.

Well, this is only my theory and I have no solid evidence for anything - which is a disturbing trend of late - but... I think it might be stuck in a time loop of some sort. So I'm not sure that anything is actually being replenished or replaced so much as "resetting".

It would make sense, with that is going on. Though it does move to the question of what set it off. Where are the people?

[When Cyril sees Fenris investigating he can't help the smile that comes to his face. He ventures over to the other elf, making sure that he's seen, and offers him a gentle greeting.]

I believe when we were hoping for a calmer community with simple issues this is not what we had in mind.

[Fenris appreciates Cyril's efforts. Much better to not be sneaked up on, in a place like this. ]

Hmm. I think this went a little too far in the other direction.

I'm starting to think they take pleasure in not listening to what we want.

[Said sarcastically. Because of course that's the truth.]

If they were there I would think they would be part of the time cycle. Maybe it was an experiment of some sort, or perhaps something went wrong.

It's hard to say without more information. We might be able to find something more in the town, but if we have time to do anything about it, or if we even should...

Maker forbid! I never until now realised they never had our best interests at heart.

[Sarcasm, he can do. ]

From all your time here, has there ever been a case where we haven't meddled? As a group? I'm fairly certain that much is inevitable.

Of course. All those planets before were meant to be a... relaxing vacation.

It all makes sense now. I was, indeed very relaxed. The entire time. Weren't you?
