[ So the weekly shuffle has happened. We got new captains, people who have mysteriously disappeared-- I mean, who have never existed, and new people aboard the ships. That's exciting! Wow! ]

[ New people, get acquainted with your ships? Press all the buttons? Introduce yourself like a polite individual? Old people, keep aging? Welcome them with open arms and confetti? Punch the person who just opened the door while you were in the shower??? ]

[ Who knows! It's a mingle post! Don't ask me!]

No, I haven't. [those cards are cute, although she doesn't quite see yet what it might have to do with apples]

How do you play?

I'm not quite sure yet! It seems to be a game of free association. [She grins.] You have cards with nouns, and cards with adjectives. I believe the goal is that everyone playing the game matches a noun card with one adjective card, and the goal is to be suitable or hilarious!

[she reaches over and takes a few of the cards to examine them. Huh... what an odd game. Most of the words make sense but a lot of the names and proper nouns are lost on her]

I see. How does a person decide if they should pick something that fits, or something that's funny? Oh, I suppose it just depends on the situation?

[The cards say: yesterday's leftovers, manky, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and hot cross buns.]

Perhaps if it's appropriate, it's also funny...
