[Action/Video] First Emblem
Who: Lucina and you
Broadcast: yes
Action: Marsiva and later Planetside
When: Marsiva (March 11th-16th for action, video 3/15), Planetside for the rest of March
[Action on the Marsiva]
[Waking up with no memory in strange places is not something Lucina is known for. Certainly, she's done a lot of crazy things in her time, but pulling something like her mother and brother? Not a chance. A few minutes of searching proves that Falchion is missing, as are the tomes, staves and lances she would use in battle. In fact, she's completely defenseless.
And she hates it.
What she does find is the butterfly mask she borrowed from Gerome all those weeks and months ago and she wastes no time slipping it on and pulling her hair up to hide the length. She knows it might be useless, considering she's obviously been kidnapped and her belongings pilfered. Still, it gives her some comfort as she tries to get her bearings. Until her fingers come across a strange...thing in her hair line.]
Who is in charge here?!
[After her outburst, she is stalking through the entirety of this strange ship, processing what she knows from her actual world, the past and the strange knowledge about the things she's never seen before a day in her life. And she's looking for anyone there to get some answers.]
Video on the Marsiva
[Yep, she sure is wearing her mask still and she's managed to figure out how to use the devices while stuck on the Marsiva.]
I've read some of the messages you've traded with one another. Going back further than a few months means absolutely nothing. What I want to know is who are these Atroma and have you yet determined their base?
Planetside
[The moment that Lucina's feet hit the deserted streets of Nariba Relia, she's searching the shops for anything to use as a weapon. She doesn't trust any of the other people in the Fleet yet. (She doesn't see a reason to do so.) And without Falchion, she feels too vulnerable.
Her first stop is in one of the many shops, hefting different objects to see if she likes the weight. Even if she can't find a sword, she can use almost anything as a lance.
After she's satisfactorily geared, Lucina isn't afraid to peruse the shops to find clothes and things to take back with her. (SOMEONE STOP HER FROM TRYING TO MIX PATTERNS, PLEASE!)
Once the shopping is over, she's out to inspect the rest of the world. The theme park and movie theater don't really interest her, but she's not above being convinced to at least try them out if someone's persuasive enough.]

no subject
And that's when she places it: Gerome. He reminds her of Gerome. And even though Morgan is here, somewhere, it feels strange to not have the rest of her friends with her after all the trouble they've gone through being reunited with the Shepherds.]
There is practically no metal left to that edge. You don't want it to shatter in your face, do you?
[It's ugly when that happens.]
no subject
With that, he grabs a second (unsharpened) knife from the side and begins the process anew.
See? It's fine. Don't lecture him.]
no subject
And Morgan is good for doing things that are supposed to help but end up annoying. Outside of battle, that is.]
That poor table, what did it do to you?
[It feels a little foreign, trying for levity when she really is concerned.]
I see you've some experience.
no subject
[Scrape, scrape. The sound of the blade on whet is methodical, almost therapeutic.]
What are you searching for?
no subject
She looks down at the makeshift polearm in her hand and sighs.]
I'm actually looking for a whet stone for a knife or something that I can use to sharpen this to a point. A javelin would be better in a fight than a stick. Where did you find yours?
no subject
[He gestures with a thumb to the doorway behind the counter.]
no subject
And you haven't seen anyone else here this whole time?
[She is definitely making her way to that door, while looking at what's behind and on the counter. Camping and hunting and fishing gear, which might be useful for while they're on this planet, but she's not sure it's going to do much good in space.]
Someone not with the ships, I mean.
no subject
[It's as puzzling as it is disturbing, but at this point there's very little they can do except explore and investigate more.]
no subject
[Something's happened, that much is obvious. Lucina gives out a small sound of pleasure as she finds a whet stone. She grabs two and drops them in her pouch, also seeing grinding cloths, a few more knives and an actual sword.
They're all taken and she comes back out to drop a few coins on the counter. She's no thief.]
I suppose just staying here won't solve the problem. I find it strange that our captors give us so much freedom but take our weapons away. It's not as if they've made it impossible to replace them.
no subject
and he's mostly broke because he just arrived anyway]We're meant to be entertainment. It's likely that whatever show they're producing isn't intended as some kind of gladiatorial arena, so we have no need for weapons.
[Not that it's really stopping anyone. He's seen people with swords, and the ships with security officers are supplied with guns... plus here he is, literally making himself a weapon.]
no subject
I'm not sure that watching a group of people trapped in a different world is very entertaining. Are these people we're to entertain sadists? [She scoffs at the last part of his comment.] Only a fool walks around without any weapon. I've seen what a great deal of the fellow Fleet members carry around.
no subject
[Especially hanging around a ship like the Bloodsport. Felt like half the people on board had some form of oversized weaponry. It was a little absurd, but comforting at the same time. Though it would be more comforting if he could trust them as much as Kaname does.]
They don't look like they belong with the technology of the fleet itself, so they were likely gleaned from other worlds. They don't intent to make arming ourselves a simple task.
no subject
[Not that she trusts the guns given. She'd much rather have a sword and tome, something she knows how to use in the heat of battle.]
Sitting around as an easy target isn't something I see for any of the people I've encountered. [Not that she's talked to them.] Perhaps they're testing our resiliency.
no subject
[He shrugs his shoulders, mostly unbothered. If they want to test his mettle, they're welcome to it. Eventually the time will come for them to regret everything they've done to the people locked away here.]
There's no shortage of combatants within the fleet.
no subject
No, I've noticed that as well. It seems strange to kidnap so many people able to fight and defend themselves and then drop them in the middle of a planet with nothing but a few deformed rabbits.
no subject
[AND HE'S STILL PISSED HE WASN'T THERE]
no subject
[Look, fantasy world does not have ships like that! Just pegasi, wyvern and griffon.]
Cannibals? Were they alive or the undead?
[SHE SKIPPED OVER THE LA'TOLI MESSAGES!]
no subject
[god, that's old-timey. She probably wouldn't recognize "missile" if he used that instead.]
As far as I know they were alive. [wait what the fuck.] Are undead cannibals an issue where you're from?
no subject
[Look, old-timey, high fantasy worlds are interesting. Everything is magic or miracles. But Lucina is smart enough to catch about 1/3 of what Laurent and Miriel are always talking about. Without falling asleep.
Lucina grimaces as he hones in on that particular point. It is so much to ask that it be ignored?
Yes, yes it is, Lucy.]Yes, they are.
no subject
[So it was undead cannibals, huh... first werewolves, now zombies? This fleet is full of strange ones. He probably shouldn't let himself get surprised by it anymore...
It's a subject that seems to irritate her, so rather than prying further for the moment he lifts his shoulders into a shrug, filing the info away.]
I wasn't here at the time to experience it, so if you want to know more, you'll need to inquire with the rest of the fleet.
no subject
But she's grateful he doesn't pry. The Risen and Grima are a sensitive topic. To all the Shepherds.]
I've been trying to read as much about past events as possible, but there is a lot about these ships and people I have no frame of reference for comparison.
no subject
You're not wrong. There was once a guide of past events, and it's still available in the network's archive, but it's severely out of date now.
no subject
And an angry Lucina is a dangerous Lucina.]
That's what I've noticed. I've gathered more information by looking through the logs of letters sent between the rest of the people here. [It's been kinda slow going, but she doesn't have anything else to do on the Heron except learn.] Most of them seem rather willing to share all the minor details if you ask the right questions as well.
no subject
The residents of the fleet are definitely lax when it comes to security, for the most part, though I suppose we have little reason to distrust our own, considering our shared situation.
[Meanwhile there's him, suspicious of literally everyone and everything. As per usual he's in the mental minority.]
no subject
And she's grateful that he hasn't pried that far in.]
I haven't heard or seen any reason not to trust the others here, at least superficially. In fact, a good deal of them seem to be good people.
[Not that it keeps a natural cynic like Lucina from watching them when they aren't looking. She's not about to drop her guard for anyone.]
