[ She steps in, and the immediate smell of coffee is great, thank you very much. Though she totally would have started making some for them if he hadn't beaten her to it. Coffee at ridiculous o'clock is kind of their thing.

[hands jayden her usual mug, because yeah they now also have their 'usual' mugs that they use. sits down on the edge of his bed and leaves space for her, if she wants it.

It's about Uraraka. [he knows jayden has even less experience with children than most people, but still...kind of wants to see what she thinks about it.] She's...struggling.

[ Yeeaaah, very little experience with kids. But it's Ochako - someone she cares for a pretty great deal. (... Plus, the last time she saw her, Ochako managed to convince her to play on the playground. That's gotta mean something.) ]

Being ineffective. [it's delivered ruefully; aizawa isn't used to it either, and he knows jayden has some experience with it to the detriment of her own emotional fortitude. nobody deals with it well, but this sort of hopeless repetition isn't good for uraraka in particular in this stage of her development as a hero.

aizawa cradles his mug between his knees to give his hands something to do.]

Back home she would be able to rack up successes alongside failures. Maybe it would be unbalanced there too, but not like it is here. On top of that she doesn't have the support network she has back home; her classmates, her parents. [all she has is him. well, and others, but not like she would at home.] I'm worried she's...getting attached to the wrong things. [again, him. their relationship can no longer be safely categorized as teacher and student; it's much closer to mentor now, which is DANGEROUSLY close to parent.]

She tilts her head a bit as she considers his last statement. ]
