[She's put this off for weeks now in the vain hope that Fenris would suddenly turn back up one day, grumpy as usual.  Some people only vanish briefly, don't they?  But there's only so many double shifts she can pull, and while they've been welcome in the order of not thinking about various things (this place, all those deaths, her death, and oh Luceti, that's an interesting one) there comes a point where you both (a) have to acknowledge you're in denial and (b) fall asleep in the shuttle bay before you ever leave the Iskaulit. 

Damn you, Fenris.  It's not going to be the same without you.  This is your friend's bar.]

I guess it's that time of year again.  The Space Bar needs new staff!   I'm looking for someone with decent bartending experience or just someone who's really fast at learning.  Pay's good, so if you'd like an extra source of credits for work you choose to be doing, hit me up.  I'm also looking for one or two people who'd be willing to act as relief staff, because this place does a number on reliability at the best of times.

[Like when its proprietor vanishes completely for a month, that was fun.]

....also, tell me if you've found a favourite food or drink on this planet.  I'm restocking, it benefits everyone if I can have on hand what people enjoy the most.

[His expression softens, hidden from her view; but his tone of voice has always been just as revealing as anything else, he supposes.] ... I never talked about home with him before. Is he going to be okay?

[That takes some tired thought, getting her recollections in order. They'd never really talked about it. She had no idea if Fenris knew she'd been poking around in his head. But...she remembers clearly enough.]

It's not a great place, I don't think. Or it didn't use to be. It's not all bad.

...I think he'll be okay. [But she's not sure he ever really wanted to go back.]

Well... I can relate to that.

[Home isn't all bad. But it's not a great place for him; he's come to understand that.]

Does he have people there he can rely on?

Varric's back there. [If Varric is dead, there was never a hint of it, so she's reasonably confident of that.] Some others.

I'm getting to the point there's only a few people who've been here longer than I have.

... Same here. Though, you've been here longer than me, so.

[He adjusts the weight of Nami on his back, careful in the motion as he approaches his bedroom; it's closer and she'll be able to sleep off some of her weariness there.]

What has it been, two and a half years? Way longer than Adstringendum.

Yeah. I only beat you here by a month or two, I remember. I'm glad you came, though.

[Oh hey hello this isn't her room. She wonders idly how much Sam would freak if she made a ratings joke right here, then decides she's too tired to suddenly get ditched on the ground in kneejerk mortification.]

No offense taken. Outside of not being able to see certain select people, being home isn't really all its cracked up to be. I mean - I like traveling and helping and all that, but you know... the usual stuff gets in the way. And makes everything godawful.

[Careful now, he's gonna slide you off real gentle like.]

[She's a cooperative burden, snuggling into one of his pillows the moment it comes within reach. Your shoulders might feel a tiny bit damp, though, sorry about that.]

You need to come to our world full time. Screw yours. [It's said with the comfortable muzziness of knowing full well what his response will be to that. It's probably like the fifteen time she's said it, lbr.]

But I wouldn't mind convincing Dean, because I'm pretty sure he'd get really into the idea of being an actual pirate.

Nothing's smashed me yet, you'll be fine.

[Yawn.] Yeah. I guess we'll take Dean if we have to. It's a price to pay for getting you.

[He says it with only the lightest of teasing, and is totally gonna pull up the blanket on you like you're five. Sorry, Sam doesn't make the rules — gotta do it.]

Now as much as I'm never the one doing this — get some rest, okay.

[There's a mutter that sounds like hhhcrit to be honest, as she curls up under the blankets. That's about as coherent as she's gonna be for a bit, the sleepy smile fading as her eyes slide shut.
