[She's put this off for weeks now in the vain hope that Fenris would suddenly turn back up one day, grumpy as usual. Some people only vanish briefly, don't they? But there's only so many double shifts she can pull, and while they've been welcome in the order of not thinking about various things (this place, all those deaths, her death, and oh Luceti, that's an interesting one) there comes a point where you both (a) have to acknowledge you're in denial and (b) fall asleep in the shuttle bay before you ever leave the Iskaulit.

I guess it's that time of year again. The Space Bar needs new staff! I'm looking for someone with decent bartending experience or just someone who's really fast at learning. Pay's good, so if you'd like an extra source of credits for work you choose to be doing, hit me up. I'm also looking for one or two people who'd be willing to act as relief staff, because this place does a number on reliability at the best of times.

[Like when its proprietor vanishes completely for a month, that was fun.]

Ah, I did, yes. [It sobers him up somewhat, though he remains positive enough.] So at least for that one journey, I appreciated having the option.

[She notices the shift, but then he did say he had to get back there as soon as possible. Something wrong at home...? Not something she's gonna pry about.]

I wonder if we can find wormholes out here that would take us even in the general vicinity of home.

It's always possible. Of course, we could also run into one without realising its there.

...that doesn't sound reassuring. Are they hard to see?

I mean, the last time I fell into one it was kind of hard to tell what was going on. They were easy enough to see while I was on Sakaar though - great holes in the sky, with a constant stream of rubbish falling out of them.

[Oh. You know, she's getting a vague image of what they must look like. Also, hard to see.]

I'd say the Atroma wouldn't steer us down one accidentally, but I don't have much faith in them. [Who does.] But I'm guessing they're reasonably uncommon anyway.

If it has a sophisticated enough scanning array, it should be able to. I'm not sure the Fleet vessels would have something to that standard though.

[The ships are a bit primitive by Asgard's standards, though their own devices were so artful and bound up in magic it's hard to compare.]

No. And most of us can only operate them with the information we're fed, too.

[Still, she's not too worried. She's more curious whether a way home can be found through one, but she also knows that's kind of clutching at straws.]

[She grins a little.] We do have some stuff that knocks most humans flat if you ever want to try it. Sorry; I guess in most worlds people tend to view a god as someone who's just... vastly powerful and immortal and not capable of things like getting drunk.

We're very fond of drinking on Asgard. It would be a real disappointment if it had no effect on us.

That sounds promising though. I finish the last of the Asgardian whiskey I got a few months ago and I have sorely missed it ever since.

Asgard sounds like my kind of place. [...ah NOT THAT SHE'S A GOD maybe that was rude, she hurries on.] Anyway, yes! We have a limited stock but given our customers seem to be more sturdy lately, I'll always keep an eye out for the strongest stuff when we restock.
