It's terribly inappropriate, of course. Especially without a single word from our keepers afterward.

From what I have been told, such actions are expected. They do not seem so inclined to speak with us. [ which is kind of annoying, given how they deserve some kind of explanation on what the hell just happened. ]

Oh, they speak to us. But, it's always on their terms, precisely delivering whatever message it is that they want us to hear and obey. They are very clever captors.

Truthfully, though I did find many of their actions distasteful, it is not the locals I am entirely displeased with - but some of our own fleet.

Ah, yes. To clarify, the "they" I am most displeased with is the entity holding both us and those villagers captive. The villagers themselves are mostly just ignorant.

Well, I for one think that putting up such a protest is admirable--especially for such an unpopular opinion. We will probably need that sort of bravery if we ever hope to shake off the overwhelming shackles that have been put on us.

Not wanting to see an innocent creature slaughtered should not be grounds for 'bravery.' I was only doing what I thought to be right. [ but... ]

If we wish to 'shake off these overwhelming shackles' upon us, others will have to voice their opinions, as well as listen to others. It seems the latter is difficult for many here.

Well, whether brave or not, it is at least rare, and that counts for something.

And who knows. Your outspoken tendencies could be slowly contagious. We could certainly use it.
