[The Space Bar staff made good use of the ever-replenishing alcohol supply at their last stop, and Nami and Remy got around to discussing the idea of testing various experimental mixes to come up with new additions for the menu.  I mean, add to that Nami hasn't made a decision which one of the applicants should take the main bar job, so clearly the best idea is to shove them all into one place and ply them with alcohol while they talk to each other and work it out after that.

No, it's a good idea.  Shut up.

...okay.  It may just be a good excuse for a party.  Sue her.]

That I'm a scary monster. [Vash curls his fingers into "claws". He also closes one eye as he squints the other. Apparently thinking that to be a "scarier" look.] Rawr! I am pretty frightening, don't you think?

[He's unable to hold the act very long as he breaks into laughter and takes a sip of the drink.] Oh! That's pretty good!

That's what I see in myself. What about you?

[ For a brief second, the vain lie is on his lips, I'm a god, I'm above everyone else, what else do I need?

But the image of monsters, blue-faced and red-eyed swims in his mind and he finds himself tripping over the lie. ]

Sounds like there may be a story in there somewhere.

Not much of one. I am a God. We age very slowly compared to mortals.

Oh yeah? I haven't really met many gods before. I have to admit. I always pictured something a bit... shinier? Do you get that a lot? [Is that rude to ask?]

[ He raises an eyebrow. ]

We're gods, not divas.

Oh? Usually when I hear stories about gods they always seem to be bathed in bright light.

That would make things difficult to see. But I suppose it is not beyond the pale.

Well, I think that's the point. The wonderfulness of the god is so bright and blinding that it is hard to look upon them.

[Vash gives his head a shake.] No thanks. I prefer being able to see.

Besides, there are lots of people back home who are going to be incredibly jealous when they hear a god served me a drink.

Maybe they have high standards and that's why it would take me meeting a god to impress them!
