[The Space Bar staff made good use of the ever-replenishing alcohol supply at their last stop, and Nami and Remy got around to discussing the idea of testing various experimental mixes to come up with new additions for the menu.  I mean, add to that Nami hasn't made a decision which one of the applicants should take the main bar job, so clearly the best idea is to shove them all into one place and ply them with alcohol while they talk to each other and work it out after that.

No, it's a good idea.  Shut up.

...okay.  It may just be a good excuse for a party.  Sue her.]

[She's been in the fleet for about six months now, and not once has she allowed herself to let loose like she might at home. However, Nami's invitation to such an event is too good an opportunity to pass up. She may take a lot of things in stride, but they're still a lot of things.

So throughout the evening, Kaname will be seen nursing a drink of some kind. For some time, she's more talkative and less reserved than normal, giggling a lot more often and still very friendly. Come say hello!]

[Oh, hi, Kaname! Look what the Lance dragged in! Keith was actually... being social? And enjoying it? What was this magic?

Oh... it's a potion called alcohol......]

[Now she's gotta take advantage of this. She slides into a seat next to Keith, grinning at him.]

You know... Prompto said the exact same thing when he came up to me a few minutes ago.

Like, we had this big food goo fight back home once... or the squishy space spores... those we used like snowballs. And then there was this time when Hunk had these cake pop things, and I had something really bad to drink and spit it out in shock. And he yelled about his eyes, but put the cake pop things on his face like glasses.

[O shit waddup, Kaname! Lance spots her sometime during the night, and grins as he heads over to greet her.]

[And it's working. She plucks a pretzel from a nearby snack bowl and offers it to him because why not.]

It's impressive you got Keith to come with you.

[Awwww yeah, pretzel! He takes it and pops it in his mouth, reminding himself of manners as he chews and swallows before speaking again.]

Right? I think I'm breaking him out of his shell bit by bit, which is seriously awesome. And he's having a good time! Scoooooore.

[She lifts her glass for emphasis before taking a sip.]

[He lifts his glass as well before taking a generous sip. Keith had definitely loosened up after a drink or two, and the social lubricant is working wonders for his normal tendencies to wallflower.]

She brought him along. They came together.

He isn't usually into drinking until drunk, but that seems to be the thing to do with this gathering, so he indulges, switching out for water every so often, and urging Kaname to drink some, too.]

[He's her plus one, and while they spend a good portion on the time together, they do drift off now and again. This is one of the times where they find each other.

Kaname laughs as she takes a seat on a chair next to him, drink in hand.]

I don't see her around right now. [As if to demonstrate, she stands up and moves over, taking a seat on his lap. Her free arm goes around his shoulders.]

[His hands flutter around for a second, unsure of where to go. There are a lot of people here. What is appropriate?! He settles for hugging her around the waist.

What now? Nothing that felt comfortable with an audience! He clears his throat and reaches for his drink.]

[She laughs lightly and kisses his temple, careful not to disturb either of their beverages.]

Yes, you are comfy. Your lap is a good seat.
