[The Space Bar staff made good use of the ever-replenishing alcohol supply at their last stop, and Nami and Remy got around to discussing the idea of testing various experimental mixes to come up with new additions for the menu.  I mean, add to that Nami hasn't made a decision which one of the applicants should take the main bar job, so clearly the best idea is to shove them all into one place and ply them with alcohol while they talk to each other and work it out after that.

No, it's a good idea.  Shut up.

I really thought you'd get more. Might have been the timing, or maybe that really is the state of things now. A lot of the tech guys I was close to before are gone now.

[She feels all kinds of hesitant thinking of him procuring an arm from one of these worlds where they don't really know anyone or anything, but she supposes that's not all that different from what he's experiencing being on the ships. Yeah, I'm hoping for the latter. [don't you worry, Kitty. He's mostly all talk when it comes to that. He's very particular about it all, it's a real problem that seems to work in his favor here] Doesn't hurt to look, though. Maybe from a safe distance, too.

More or less. [his face scrunches up a little] Which reminds me of a question I've been meaning to ask - why the fuck is everyone so nice?

[That gets a laugh.] I have no idea. Confused the hell out of me too when I arrived at my first one of these. [Less so by the time she appeared in the fleet, but she was wary for a couple of weeks just in case.]

Everyone is definitely supposed to fear and hate me for what I am and now I've gotten so used to this, it's jarring if someone seems skeptical of me.

Thanks. I can't say some of them don't have some good cause at this point. But that part of human nature is what helped things get as bad as they did too.
