[The Space Bar staff made good use of the ever-replenishing alcohol supply at their last stop, and Nami and Remy got around to discussing the idea of testing various experimental mixes to come up with new additions for the menu.  I mean, add to that Nami hasn't made a decision which one of the applicants should take the main bar job, so clearly the best idea is to shove them all into one place and ply them with alcohol while they talk to each other and work it out after that.

No, it's a good idea.  Shut up.

...okay.  It may just be a good excuse for a party.  Sue her.]

[She sighs.] I should probably talk to him. Let him know that when things like this happen he can always turn to me to let him into your room or anywhere you hide so that no property needs to be damaged.

HEY! HEY! My door got fixed eventually! It's fine! [He seems more upset that she's talking about property damage rather than that she's offering to help with Chuuya's revenge.]

Sounds like it's rough for the insurance industry back home. I'm actually kind of surprised you have an insurance industry.

Monopoly. Or at least, Bernardelli is the only insurance worth having. They're really dedicated workers there!

Mostly survival and fighting skills. [Though she snuck in some academics whenever possible.] I was training the next generation of mutants.

It was this giant ugly statue of a guy. Not even that important of a guy! Just bought a town and stuck a statue of himself up in it! He insured that ugly thing for five billion double dollars!

Then this renowned thief named Gasback said he was going to steal from this guy and ruin him. Which, he did, but he didn't steal the statue, he just destroyed it. The worst part of it all? I go blamed for it! Just because I was sight seeing in town! [There to stop Gasback from killing people.] They say I helped him with his master plan! [Because he got himself involved and painted a target on his back.]

Oh, man. I really thought Meryl and Milly were going to turn me in right there to cover the losses, but luckily it was discovered that guy was a criminal who lied about where his money came from to buy the town. So he was arrested and they didn't have to pay out the five billion in the end. [He's hoping that quick retelling will help distract her.]

You're pretty close to Meryl and Milly, right? [She's pretty sure she saw things in his memories.]

[He smiles at their mention.] Yeah. I complain about them, but really, they're good friends. [They're the only ones he's been willing to kill for.] No matter what I did to try to leave them behind they were always chasing after me. Even after I got labeled a natural disaster and Bernardelli would no longer cover any claims for damage I caused.

Monopoly land? Is there someone from a world that also uses double dollars? [He thought that was something unique to his planet.]

Me too. I hate to be alone. It's worse than only having day old donuts to eat!

Umm...no. Monopoly is the name of a board game back home where you use fake money. I don't know what it's called if it has a name. Probably just monopoly money.

[A nod.]

Yeah, I hate the alone thing too. [And while she's been far from alone this last year she has been lonely. She lost a lot of connection and intimacy when Winn left. A big piece of her life was just ripped away and she's been reluctant to fill it if it can't be just as it was. That reluctance is wavering more and more.] Even more than week old donuts.

What about worse than chocolate chip cookies that turn out to be raisins?

That too. [She really doesn't like being alone. Maybe in a nother world with another life things would have been different. She could have just been social, but she's lost so much.]
