[As she's leaving the stage, Kaname silently beckons him to meet her back there with a motion only he'd understand. Once she sees him coming towards her, the smile already in place grows exponentially, and she rushes over to meet him.]

Messer! [If he didn't know her as well as she does, he might not recognize how truly giddy she's currently feeling.] Thanks for coming.

[He greets her with a nod and a characteristically small smile.]

I can't imagine missing it. It's my first time properly attending a performance of yours.

[It's not the same, being a part of the show himself. There are too many distractions- navigating the skies, working through the steps of the accompanying air show, scanning the radio or the horizon for signs of danger... it's nothing like being on the other side of the stage.]

I guess you're right. [Kaname's not nervous or anything, but a part of her is still a little anxious to hear what he thinks. She knows he loves her songs, but even those were with Walkure. This might be the first time he's heard her on her own.]

It might sound silly, but it was still nerve wracking somehow. Maybe because it's an entirely new audience.

You had nothing to be nervous about. Your talents are undeniable, and the way the crowd responded to your songs proved that.

[It's impossible to even imagine- her doing poorly on a stage, or getting no reaction. Not just her voice, but the passion it carries when she sings... it's powerful, and it would be even if you didn't factor in the fold waves.]

[His words leave her needed a moment to speak, for they leave her well and truly touched by their meaning. She smiles, nodding slowly.]

Thank you. [Kaname steps forward and pulls Messer into a hug.]

[He's getting better at responding to this sort of thing, bit by bit; it only takes him a moment or two to lean in and accept it, arms lightly clasped around her until she lets go.]

[It's a quick one so it doesn't leave him uncomfortable. His reply leaves her shaking her head.]

As if you ever need one. You know you're always welcome.

[Or at least he should know.]

[He can think of a few circumstances where he'd be a little unwelcome, but that's neither here nor there. He's glad for the experience.]

What comes next? It's rare that a performance doesn't require a disaster relief effort.

Well, this one is a talent competition. Theoretically, I stick around until the end when they announce the winners.

[Sounds like needless busiwork, since her performance is obviously the superior one, but okay.]

I hardly need a break after something so short.

[She grins at him, totally knowing he was.]

You can understand how comedy might not be my first instinct.

I can. [Her grin turns into a smile.] But if you won't try singing, this isn't a bad avenue.

[He's not an in-person performer, he likes being behind the glass shield of his cockpit, thank you. Or at the very least, he's best suited to a supporting role.]
