A - Sing Your Heart Out [Talent Competition | a set day after the 4th]

[When she initially signed up, it was to be a partner act with Freyja, however, the younger girl's departure of the Fleet makes that idea a no go. She briefly considers withdrawing her name, but quickly casts that thought aside: she owes her friend, and more importantly, herself to keep going. Solo isn't something she's done seriously in a long time, but it's a good way to test the waters again. For the first time in a while, Kaname actually feels nervous.

Backstage, before she goes on, she smiles at whomever might have come there to wish her luck, the anxiety and excitement evident in her expression.]

Let's see what I've got. [Any conversations are short lived. With the announcer's introduction, the leader of Walküre steps out into the spotlight, new outfit acquired for the occasion. A brief introduction of her own and a few words of her own follow, before she begins.

Two songs are sung, one more upbeat than the other, coupled with some dancing. By the end, she's smiling in a way she hasn't since her arrival. The thrill of performing for a large crowd isn't one she'll ever be over. With a bow and wave, she makes her way off stage to meet her support, still grinning from ear to ear. And later, she's available to talk to anyone who was watching from the audience.]

B - Vacation Gotta Get Away [R&R on Sandy Shores or Tropical | random times]

[The sandy shores of the system remind her so much of Ragna, the planet she calls home, it stands to reason she'll be spending a lot of time there. Some days are spent walking the beaches, sun bathing, swimming, or even just sitting and doing nothing. Short and light shirts, or a swimsuit seem to the preferred dress here, and Kaname is happy to oblige.

One thing she won't stop is her search for a jellyfish food. It's a Ragnan thing.]

C - Support Group [Cheering! | whenever]

[Kaname will always make time for her supporting her friends, and this system is definitely no exception. Be it running, shooting, fighting, even playing cards, she's there to support them. During the high energy events, it's possible to even hear her calling their names in encouragement. The teams don't matter much to her, it's the people participating that get her attention.]

[ Alisha had been watching - and while she had heard Kaname's singing before, it'd been the first time that she had seen her perform alone. She's impressed, to say the least. It's not hard to see that Kaname is passtionate about singing while she's on stage (though, she had known beforehand) - so much so that Aisha can't help but admire her all the more.

When she sees her after performing, Alisha offers a soft smile. ]

a) what is this relaxation you speak of? is it edible

[Anyone who knows Messer (or at least knows his secret) ought to know that staying calm and composed is key. He has plenty of things to do that are active and combat-related - practicing hand to hand, weaponry, firing down targets - but the soft, nostalgic feel of this planet, its natural aspects and especially the glorious waters, have him more inclined to just... chill. As such, he's found himself a touristy list of relaxing things to try. At some point during the course of the planet visit, one might find him:

-sitting at the edge of a dock by the water, fishing

-going through a series of yoga-esque poses on a mat in the sand

-half-napping under a beach umbrella

-letting a group of small alien children bury him in the sand

If you catch him in a really good mood (which is surprisingly easy here) he might even join in some other beach-related activity. Volleyball? Swimming? Some other sports or shenanigans? Hell, he might even smile. So weird.]


b) how many guns does a man need exactly

[When he's not being weirdly chill at the beach, he's off to the shopping district, specifically to look at weaponry. His focus is on guns, since that's his specialty, but far be it for him to be too picky considering all he has right now is a crappy laser pistol and a bunch of hunting knives. He looks weirdly okay with the team colours, for some reason, more interested in the quality of weapons as he examines them.]


c) why didn't you just go into the pizza business

[HEY GUESS WHAT HIS RATINGS SUCK SO HE'S KINDA BROKE

He's working as a delivery man again, motor scooter and all, but this time he's getting paid for it. (It's to afford for all the guns, you see.) Beep beep goes the horn as he passes by- he doesn't want to run anybody over, after all. But hey, Fleet members might be able to hitch a ride if they ask nicely.]

[Messer's ratings might be bad, but there's something about Lucina's refusal to walk around without her mask that means she's had extra credits added to her account for some reason. (What she doesn't know is that they're mostly from women who find her 'mysterious' act incredibly endearing, and the fact that she's so different with Morgan than she is with the rest of the people in the Fleet.)

But, her brother's birthday is soon and she's determined to get him a good gift after the one he gave her. (The replica Falchion is sitting on the lone shelf in her room.) That's why she's looking for a sword that is light enough for the tactician to use should the need arise. If she's looking at the once in the silver and blue coloring, well...they're the least offensive.]

These are better than I expected, but none of them are the right size for what I need. It would be nice if I could see the metal itself under this unnecessary paint.

[For the first few days Cas is midnighting as...a hot dog salesman. Yes he is, actually; still in the tie and everything, though he's at least rolled up his sleeves. He needs money, they'll pay him money, he's done this kind of stuff before...it all works out.

So if you happen to come by you might see a bedraggled tax accountant telling an alien,] I hope your preferred recreational athletics group is successful in their endeavor. Good game, [and give them a very awkward thumbs up while handing over their purchase. He's so enthusiastic! Even tries for a high-five now and then...or a high-whatever-appendage they happen to have.]

[Of course, about a week in Cas finds out that Sam is missing, and despite being reassured that he's probably just 'home' or 'on the Marvisa' or whatever, Castiel is still going to be aggressively searching for him in all the typical nerd spots that Sam would usually hang out in.

He could just be where people say he is...or he could be kidnapped, and considering the Winchester track record (Sam's in particular) that second option is way too likely to ignore.

So cue Cas storming into and out of various libraries, stalking through nature walks and parks, ignoring all the nice statues and plays and plaques in favor of picking through bushes, looking for a clue like a shred of cloth or a spot of blood, wearing the face of a being ready to rain down some wrath if he finds what he's looking for.]

[Hey crewmmates, he's on the lookout for Aerith. Have you seen her?? God, Zack, keep track of your girlfriend.]

[Zack's been a bit squirrely about being seen shirtless since his arrival, but within a few weeks of arrival, he's out and about in all his bare glory- showing off some shiny new tattoos that conveniently cover up the collection of scars that decorate his chest and back. He looks damn pleased and proud of them, too.

Because he now has something fun and colourful to show off, he's spending a lot of time on the local beaches: swimming, messing around in the sand (is that a giant sand mako reactor? heck yeah it is), playing some sports, challenging poor bystanders to swordfights with folded beach umbrellas. General silliness, basically.

He's here to have fun, so prepare to be dragged into something if he happens to notice you.]


c) what's that hot and cold song again

[From the beaches to the peaks! Or whatever counts as one, anyway. Zack's off the the snow area to try his hand (and feet) at snowboarding again! It's been a few months, so he'll probably fall down a lot, but it's fun and he's enjoying the temperature shift, so whatever. Eventually he'll get good at this! He can do anything he puts his mind to!

Until then it's a good thing he's durable.

When not boarding or rolling in the snow, he's going to go warm up in the hot springs or get himself some cocoa out of the cold. What do you mean there's a spa here!? Is it good!? He's never done that before...]

The second Sorey hears about legal hunting grounds, he's getting all his weapons and making a beeline right for it. He picks up a brochure along the way of the edible species and how to prepare them, even buys a few arrows in various team colors, and does his best to get lost in the woods for like six days. Don't look for him. He's having the time of his life.

[After his brief foray as a wild man, Sorey takes the time to sight-see, particularly where these awesome solar panel structures are located. He tries to wheedle his way into seeing some of their guts, though he seems perfectly happy to marvel at them, too.

If he sees anybody else gazing appreciatively he won't hesitate to strike up a conversation, pointing up at the towering glass structures.] Isn't this so cool? Integrating it with nature like this...! I love it!

[he has a list of things he needs to get, so Ben wastes no time in getting down to one of the planets and starting his shopping. Clothes were a necessity, especially since you wouldn't catch him dead in those ugly-ass jumpsuits. He isn't too keen on the team bullshit, not being a sports guy, but he'll pick up a random assortment of T-shirts because why the fuck not. They'll serve their purpose.

Second on his list is a pair of glasses he can see out of. Maybe even two pair, so he can fiddle with the second and get something close to what he had back home. When he finally finds a shop, though, he runs into a bit of a problem -]

Why is literally everything fuckin' branded? Dude.

b. black market

[the shopping continues, but this time the focus is strictly on weaponry. Stuff he recognizes, stuff he can figure out, sharp things he can hide in the slots on his arm - anything goes.

Look, he's a paranoid person by nature. Easing the paranoia with sharp things and shooty things only makes sense, right? Right]

c. don't talk about fight club

[of course while he's diving deep into the not-so-legal side of things he finds the fighting competitions - a welcome and familiar thing to him. Ben isn't in it for the competition part, not really; instead, he's in it to work off his frustration and because he likes it.

That's right, he's one of those idiots. You can catch him in a fight or nursing some of the bruises and black eyes he's going to end up with]

[sooner or later, Ben will play around in some of the trivia contests, and maybe some of the more legal fighting competitions if he decides to get involved in this whole team bullshit. He may even wander out into the hunting grounds on his own, just to get away from people.

[It's a bit of a habit by now to go looking for clothes when they hit a new system, even though Thor was well served by Nariba Relia. He might not strictly need new items, but if he's signing up for a team here he might as well get something with their insignia. Not hard to do, as Ben loudly points out.

[while the idea of teams and competition is something Baku is familiar with in theory, well . . . she can't pick a team. Well, more like - she doesn't want to. Why can't she cheer for all of them? They all look like they're having so much fun, so why should her support only go to one of them?

She doesn't buy any of the clothing merchandise, but those little flags you can wave? You bet she bought one for every team. And she'll sit in the stands and wave both, because that's her compromise]

b. fashion shows

[that is, until she comes across the fashion shows and all of her attention is drawn to that. She loves fashion, whether it's wearing it or seeing what the latest styles are, and that doesn't change just because she's no longer on Earth]

What a creative use of colors, isn't it? [she'll comment to anyone nearby as she watches a model strut by] Fashion is so interesting.

c. board games

[she's very good when it comes to chess, and it's only by accident that she ends up in one of the competitions. She didn't mean to! And she makes it very clear that she hasn't join any of the teams, but the person who challenged her insisted in the spirit of competition, and well . . . how could she resist?

After, she'll keep coming back, either to watch the other competitors to join in once again. She may as well have some fun while she's here]

Yeah, [Cas says idly, watching people strut by. It wasn't something he paid much attention to back home until he had to like, change his clothes when they got dirty. What a pain in the ass that was. And then, to care about what they look like! Peculiar.] It's fascinating to see how cloth has really caught on.

Team spirit

[On occasion, the Fleet find itself with a cause Sokka can get behind, and, of course, he puts his whole self into it. Heart and soul. The Waves is absolutely one of those causes. Sokka has bought a lot of Waves memorabilia, and is decked out in it with the utmost pride. It's not Water Tribe, but it's close enough.

He can be found preforming various water sports, making really crappy absract art and at one point trying is hand in a bake-off and baking a very questionable 'cake'. ]

Hunting/Fishing

[Hunting is one thing Sokka doesn't do for sport, or for competition. It's an important part of getting food, and making sure his ship have enough meat for however long it will take to find fresh game again. As always, he welcomes anyone who wants to come along, and is always willing to teach someone else how to hunt and fish, if they ask him. He can be found tracking game on foot with his spear, or making holes in the ice to get fish the Water Tribe way. ]

A whole new meaning to the phrase 'fight for her hand'

[Sokka has spent months preparing for this. He's trained with some of the toughest people he knows- people who could absolutely grind him to paste if they so wanted to, which is exactly the level he's looking for. He's not sure if he'll actually win this, but Looma assured him he can have multiple tries- and he can use whatever happens as a learning curve. Figure her out a bit better, learn to fight smarter.

He purposefully picked the snowy terrain. It's where he fights best, where he's naturally attuned and also, a little selfishly, he knows Looma hates the snow and ice. It's a chance to get a very, very small advantage against her. So, he's laid down his challenge, and is now waiting for her to show up. Maybe you're one of his friends or family he cheerfully told he was diving into danger today- or maybe you're just a passerby, stopping to watch what's going on. Either way, an ancient Tetramand custom is about to go underway. Enjoy watching Sokka get the snot kicked out of him by his (one day) Lady Love. ]

[ Well, here is someone that he does not have to teach how to fish. They've done this for years! It was their main source of food, really, after Dad left.

Of course now she actually understood how to bend, so she'd only get him wet on purpose. And also she didn't need a spear to stab the fish, or a knife to cut the ice.

Which meant that it wasn't long before she was bending out her first fish of the day, a satisfied smile on her lips. ] Got one.

A - Don't play games (any city)

[All this sports madness is less of a foreign concept to him than it might once have been, but it's still very very odd. He isn't sure how he feels about it. The crowds and enthusiasm is in a way infectious - and he feels like he might lose himself in it if he lets it happen. But there's a lot to take in.

Somewhere, where signups for some of the board games are ongoing, Felix stands looking over a pamphlet with the list of the myriad events and frowning]

I suppose I should be grateful they don't care only about physical contests, but I haven't heard of half of these games.

B - ring bell for service

[A few extra credits isn't remiss, since the light of an athlete isn't for him in the long run. Eventually, he takes a job at small souvenir shop near the beach. He isn't quite the beach type, but the Brightbirds at least have a sense of style and attitude he can tolerate. Sadly, he's not quite into the spirits of things.

The shop has an assortment of goods, ranging from generic sports gear but an array of items suited to the sunny climate - floppy hats, sunglasses, shell necklaces, paper fans, and the like. Felix, looking bored and disinterested, only lazily looks up the the magazine he's flipping through as you enter and pick through the merchandise.]

I wouldn't, if I were you...

C - on the runway (fashion shows)

[It's later in the month that it happens, a recruiter for one of the Brightbirds fashion designers happens across him and talks him into it. Days later, here he is, clad in something bright and feather-trimmed and sleeveless, his bright tattoos, usually mostly hidden, on display and setting off the look even more.

If you're in the audience, and he recognizes you from the fleet, he might give you a look and a brief smile as he passes by.

Catch him during the after-show, accepting a glass of champagne as he puts his feet up. Stupid tall shoes. As if he wasn't tall enough already. But fashion had it's price and the eyes of the room on him wasn't all that bad either.]

[Cyril had joined the Brightbirds as well, and it seemed the fashion designer here had put effort into finding people with tattoos and sticking them in brightly colored outfits. He sees Felix during the show, but when they are modeling they don't have a lot of time to talk.

It's during the aftershow, when Cyril finally has time to say something to him. His voice is low, because he doesn't desire to offend anyone. He's really only trying to tease someone he has seen around on the Fleet who joined the same event that he did.]

How is it that they put you in those shoes, and not me? I feel as if I would be the one to benefit from some extra inches.

[He is a rather small elf, after all. And has nothing close to Felix's natural height.

Honestly, he's surprised the Brightbirds had even wanted him for this. Models tended to be tall, and the new prosthetic he wore to replace his missing arm was very visible with the outfit he had been placed in. He loved it though, despite all of that. He always enjoyed being in the spotlight.]

[ Go Green Go! ]

[Everyone loves an underdog! Prompto does, anyway. Which is why he signed up with the Green Gliders. Maybe they have a losing streak a mile wide, but it’s the spirit that matters. And the fan are plain awesome.

Of course he’s all over the photography contest, though finding the perfect image is turning into a bigger hassle than he thought it would. It’s not so much that he has too many good images, but that he doesn’t believe any are good enough. Find him flipping through a portfolio with a frown and occasional muttering.

There’s also the races. He may not be the fastest thing out there, but all his running has to have paid off!]

[ Shopping for a new toy ]

[Not that he needs one, necessarily – he’d already picked up a gun on one of the previous planets, plus whatever was available or stashed on the ship. But listen … a weapon in team colors? That was awesome and he needed one.]

Oh, man these are cool. Rifle or pistol?

[ Downtime ]

[The events are great for cool action shots. While he sticks mostly to the beach and more populated areas, he can be found just about anywhere with his camera, snapping away. That blond bouncing around on the edge of the play field with his face hidden behind a lens? That’s him.]

[The bright light of the flash ad the sound of the shutter catches Lucina's attention. She looks beyond the strange device to the person behind it. She's seen him around the Fleet, but she doesn't know him. And she's not sure what he's doing.

She watches as he moves around excitedly, the little machine making whirring noises and flashing lights. As he bounces down the road, she frowns and follows him.]

What are you doing?

Time to race! (Before, during or after races)
[He didn't really make a secret of the fact he didn't trust a thing in this new place. He hadn't trusted anything since arriving here, a change of scenery certainly wasn't going to help. The fact it seemed to be a society centered around spectating the competitions of others only put him more on-edge. It only took one person with enough sway to say 'hey, how about we have people fight each other?' to turn it all wrong. No, the sooner they were out of here, the better.

At least, he held firmly to these thoughts until he learned about the motorcycle races. Then there were other thoughts. Like how much he loved riding his bike back home. How long it had been since he'd been able to ride his motorcycle and how he certainly couldn't now. But...maybe he could get close...

He'd had zero intention of participating, the whole thing still left a sour taste in his mouth, but a few days before the event and the day of, Bucky could be found decked out in gold and green and plying what he knew to try and tweak the bike's engine. Just to get that last little burst from it.

When it was actually time for the race, he took off like a shot the second the gun went off. He weaved expertly through the other riders, treating them no differently than the trees he'd used to weave between in Thirteen. Even the rough terrain was just like home and it gave him the thrill and rush he'd been looking for, especially when he took those high jumps off the hills and for just a moment, he was airborne.

He didn't win, didn't expect to either, he'd hardly trained as these people had and wasn't even using his own bike, but he did better than the commentator had apparently been expecting. He tried to keep the smugness that flashed up in him from showing too much.]

Hunting
[Hunting had always been a minor but very important part of District 13, sometimes it was the only way to get any meat when raids were few and far between. Even a district as careful with its resources as 13 ran out of things. But he'd never really done it much himself before the offworlders. He'd gone once or twice when the cabin fever had gotten bad and he needed fresh(?) air on his face, but until the offworlders had come needing some outdoors outlet, it had never been a habit of his.

Despite himself, he'd ended up enjoying it as much as they did. But only when it came to shooting the animal. He wasn't a fan of bows, they felt messy and inaccurate compared to guns, but bullets couldn't be wasted on something like hunting when arrows did the same job and were quieter. He'd learned to be a decent shot with them, not as good as he was with a firearm, but enough to be semi-impressive in his own right. That was one thing he'd always been proud of: no matter what weapon Thirteen had handed him and said 'learn this and then teach it,' he had. He could use just about anything effectively if not with some amount of finesse.

The bow was definitely less finesse and more functional.

But when he found out there was some hunting to be had, it seemed...useful. He should keep all of his skills sharp and since his little 'project' was going nowhere fast, it should prove a good use of his time.]

Shopping
[Having so many resources readily available was about the best thing about any of this. There was no concern for using food too quickly or wasting paper or cloth for new clothes. It was a luxury he'd never known, in Ten or Thirteen. He could be found shopping for quite a few things, a lot of basic materials, foods, leathers, metals, cloth, paper, pens, but he could also be found inspecting some clothing and the various swords and knives available (all in the Gliders green and gold, of course.) No one seemed to have the sickle sword he was hoping to find, something he'd always had at hand back home, but having something was still better.]

[Despite not needing to, Thor finds himself checking out the weaponry of this system. He had a perfectly decent sword made back in the Shinda system though it's not on him at the moment. Still, it's useful to know what the wares are on these planets. Being the Security officer means he wants to consider stockpiling items besides the standard issue guns.

He's on the way past the store Bucky's perusing, at first only casting a glance in his direction. A few steps away though, Thor pauses. Backs up. And squints at the other man.]

A) SHOPPING TRIP

[ It took Leilani a little while to drag herself down to the planet and start exploring, but when she did she realised that there was so much to find. The thing that captures her attention before anything else is the range of prosthetics that are laid out for people to buy - she imagines in a place where competition is fierce and people can do all kinds of things to earn their groups merit will mean preparing those who have suffered losses. With the one that she has from Cyril she is already prepared, but having spares doesn't seem to be a terrible idea...

She spends a very long time in the main markets, investigating all the prosthetics that are on offer, comparing them to the one she already has and trying to find one that has the same weight, length, size...

When she's been through the main market - and the underground ones she manages to discover, much to her own glee - she spends a little bit of time shopping for herself. She looks at some jewellery, some dresses, some boots, anything that seems interesting or useful. There's also a little bit of time dedicated to investigating breeches and shirts and other things, both in her own size and larger, before she manages to drag herself away. ]

B) HUNTING

[ With the use of two arms back Leilani is now able to use a bow and arrow again and it's obvious that she is utterly delighted with the experience. She darts through the forest with something almost like proficient skill; while it's been some time since she was a hunter rather than a First she can remember her training well enough.

Leilani, more than anything else, wants to be useful, and hunting can be useful. It means she can push herself, it mean she can work her body again, and it means that she can do something to provide, which is something she's felt a little at a loss with lately. Not being able to support her friends, to provide them with the things they needed, to have the Anchor or anything to help with what was left of the danger in the world... At least she could do this.

It seems only natural that she'll wear green and gold - losers in her colours are the only things she can really see about them and the rest doesn't mean much. It gives her an excuse to run around and that's what matters most. It's clear that she loves being in the forests again, delving into nature; it reminds her of home, reminds her of the Dalish and the travels she embarked on with her people. More than anything else, it's nostalgic. ]

C) PAINTING

[ There's a long period of time where Leilani seems to move around, gathering things here and there, but it soon becomes clear - she picks up paints, she gets brushes and cloths and anything else she thinks she might need and parks herself down in one of the areas designated for a painting competition. The canvas in front of her is wide and open and she immediately gets to work, starting with sketches in pencil and charcoal before she moves onto the actual painting work.

The artistry isn't amazing - the colouring is much better than the line work - but the scene that emerges is handsome enough. She spends a great deal of time on the statue of the wolf and the light and decorations, using the brushes and her fingers to do her best to make it come alive.

When she's done, she reaches out and touches the edges of the canvas gently before she bows her head and moves, stepping away to wash off her hands. ]

[ When not shopping, hunting and wandering around back on her ship Leilani can be found taking part in the various activities around the planet - she bakes, she tries dressing up for the fashion shows and she absolutely gambles. ]

[he's already acquired all that he planned to get on this trip, so wandering through the shops and whatnot seems like a good way to kill some time off the cramped ships. When he learns about the prosthetics, though - mods comes to mind, and that's the only reason why he bothers to seek any out. Mods and parts, in the event his arm goes into total meltdown for some reason.

But honestly, it's the ears Ben notices first, not the fact he's run into another Fleeter in need of - well, a fake part. He tilts his head and can't help but mouth "holy shit" to himself, because - look, elves are fucking cool, and you don't see one every day.

But it's only a moment, before he takes a glance at what she's looking at - maybe he can help? That's what normal people do, right? Offer advice? God, he sucks at this]

Uh - you don't want that one. [he gestures to one Leilani seemed to have been interested in] Metal looks like it'll weigh everything down and that'll fu—mess with your shoulder down the road.

A) GETTING INTO THE TEAM SPIRIT - VENDORS

[Cyril hadn't meant to gravitate towards a team, really. He had visited the planet originally because Leilani had told him about the wide variety of prosthetics, and then somehow the energy of the place had just swept him away. There was something to be said about the thrill of competition.

The Brightbirds were beautiful to look at and they seemed like a decent sort. He simply couldn't say no them.

Now what he needs is the look to match the team. Appearances can sometimes be a vital component of performance. He's shopping around, trying to find the perfect outfit to wear when he competes when he realizes needs someone else's opinion.

He ends up turning to the nearest person and holds up a sky blue scarf.]

B) ARCHERY CONTEST - THIS TIME WITH A BRAND NEW ARM

[After he and Leilana had found the wide range of prosthetics available, Cyril had had to hold back from spending all of his credits getting as many as possible. They were expnesive - with good reason - and he really only needed them for function, not because they looked cool or did things he could never imagine back home.

His main focus had been the ability to use a bow. He still struggled the feeling of helplessness that had been hanging around him since lost a battle and ended up injured. He never wanted to face that feeling again.

In the end, he settled on a new technologically advanced limb that would enable him to use a bow with ease. It's all silver and sleek, with moveable parts that respond to him with ease. He still can't believe that it's real but it works.

After settling into using it, he has to face the desire to test it, and what better way to do that than with an audience? Honestly, he can't help but feel joy at the idea. He's all smiles and charm as he watches his competitors and waits his turn to compete.]

[ Dorian is out doing much the same sort of shopping, though his is less team-based than personal preference. He looks best in green and gold, though purple and red are secondary contenders. He's browsing a selection of intricate armlets when he hears a familiar voice speak close to him.

Dorian turns with a smile, appraising Cyril and the scarf with a scrutinizing eye. ]

[Victor is on this planet for one reason, and one reason only - to get his mind off of Yuri's disappearance.

It feels almost too convenient, that they would be in a place that provided the only thing that could do that - real competition.

You don't win five consecutive gold medals at world level events by not being good at competition. For most of his life, it was all that he really lived for. Yuri had changed that, but Yuri was no longer here to continue that change.

The second that Victor learned about the Starstrikers he knew they were the team he was going to join. They were the best, and so was he. He wasn't even being vain about that fact - it was simply the way things were.

He donned black and silver, colors that complimented him very well but ran the risk of reminding him too much of the costume that Yuri had borrowed from him, and focused all of his attention of perfecting a routine that would win the men's figure skating competition.

And then that's all he does for the entire time he's here. If people from the Fleet expect the slightly hapless and vapid man that he's been pretending to be, they'll be disappointed. He can still put on the charm act for fans, but it becomes more clear that that's all it really is, an act.

The rest of the time his mind is entirely focused on training, competing, and winning.

This means he can really only be found in places associated with that event, such as:]

THE ICE RINK

[When he's not on the ice practicing or competing, he's studying rulebooks and style guides. They don't have the same rules as the ISU back on Earth, of course, and he needs to fully understand every bit that he can in order to blow away the judges and fans alike.

If he's skating, then others are free to sit in the stands and watch. He is good at what he does, and puts on a good show. Despite his desire to distract himself, the routine he's put together clearly has something to do with Yuri. His entire body seems to radiate with loss and grief when he's on the ice. When he's off of it, he smiles and approaches people he recognizes but it's clear that his mind never really leaves the rink.

If he's studying, he takes up a section of the stands for himself as he writes notes and compares the guides the Starstrikers had provided to him. When someone he knows from the Fleet is near or if someone approaches him, though, he looks up and offers them a smile, trying to be pleasant despite his focus on the sport.]

ICE/SNOW GAMES RELATED SOCIAL EVENTS

[While the rules of the way they judge skill may be slightly different, the fact that there are a ton of parties isn't. Victor hates these the most because it's so difficult to keep his mind of who he is missing. Yuri first made an impression on him at one of these events, so he tends to gravitate towards anyone he can tell is from the Fleet. They tend to be able to help get his mind off things because they're mostly in the same boat as he is.

As much as he's enjoying his new teammates for their dedication, there's only so many ways you can relate to being displaced entirely from your universe and everyone in it.]

STARSTRIKER EVENTS

[And finally he can also be found at Starstriker events and rallies. He enjoys the crowd here and it helps to get his face out there.

He plans on showing off his skills and to do that when he steps out into the ice he needs as many eyes on him as possible. Smoozing up his teammates, their sponsors, and their fans is one way he knows how to do that. One way he's actually very good at doing that.

It's this place where the Victor who tends to make an appearance on the Fleet's network is the most. The one who is all smiles and casual remarks. Here he puts on a different kind of show, but it's just as much a performance as what he does on the ice.]

POKER GAME

[Well, no one can tell Gil he doesn't root for the underdog. The fact that when he sits at a poker table and represents a team he's in green and gold should really be a testament to that.

Still, if he can win the Gliders something he'd be more than happy to do so. There had been a time in his life that he had thought poker was his calling, the thing that would get him and Jill out of the slums.

Instead, he had found his life's work elbows deep in the guts of ship and vehicles alike. Sadly, it wasn't as if 'engineering' was really a sport one could do to win. Even if he was the best at it.

He seems utterly unfazed by all of the hubbub around him and it's pretty neat to be sitting at the table with people who are equally good at their poker faces. He examines his cards for a moment and then sits back, looking at each of them in turn.]

Think we could get some snacks here? Maybe a couple beers? I'm starving. What about you fellas?

[It might be a blatant show of feeling relaxed, but mostly he's doing it to see how his competitors respond.]

TROPICAL RETREAT

[He had been joking about taking up on a tropical beach for a while now, so he can't help but visit the tropical part of this system when he has the chance.

He's even made a bit of a show of it. He has taken up a spot in one of the beaches and has on the tackiest Hawaiian style shirt that he could find (who know terrible fashion survived across star systems?), shorts, and a pair of green flip-flops (still gotta show that Glider pride).

Right now he's on a mission to find a drink with a little umbrella sticking out of it. He is hoping for the complete tropical getaway experience, after all.]

[ Of course he isn't, they both have their own lives and concerns that don't always intertwine. Dorian has been a bit preoccupied with his own recently, anyway. He hadn't intended upon running across Gil, but the surprise is nice, all the same. As corny as the man is at times, his company is entirely positive, if not a little self-serving.

He does enjoy a man who knows beauty when he sees it. Dorian's arms are crossed, and an eyebrow arched behind his sunglasses. ]

[Honestly, Thor needed this kind of system. It is a great way to blow off some frustrated steam without it being a life or death situation. His stint on Sakaar was enough spectated violence for him, but if it's a voluntary sports contest? Sign him up. And sign up he does, to a very predictable event: the hammer toss.

It takes virtually no time at all for Thor to become a sensation at the sport. The Starstrikers certainly don't complain every time he hits the field and throws the assigned hammer to the furthest edge of the boundary line. What makes him an even bigger hit with crowds though (if not the judging officials) are the times when he simply launches the hammer straight up into the air. It's become his signature move, no matter how many times he gets fined for losing sports equipment.

Thor's easy to find at these events, signing autographs for people afterwards and nodding along agreeably to whichever hapless referee is responsible for carding him this time.]

[Of course, there are a couple of events where things don't go so well. Those times when Thor enters the field, he goes to grab a hammer from the side of the field - only for his hand to pass right through the handle. He tries this several times, with several hammers. Finally he spins on his heel and shouts across at the baffled crowd:]

[When he's not competing, Thor's out seeing the sights. Early on he visits a few tailoring shops on a specific task: commissioning a new cape. His old one was left on Nariba Relia, and if Brightbird shopkeepers are resistant to selling a red cape to a Starstriker member, well, he's going to change their minds.

He also checks out the weapons stores, testing a few shortswords and daggers. The Blue Fish could do with a supply of non-gun arms.]

d. downtime

[And some days, well... it's nice to just kick back. Some afternoons Thor heads for the beach, staking out a spot on the shore to watch the waves come in. It's not uncommon for him to jump into the water and go for a swim as well.]

A. Knowledge is key

[It's barely been weeks since Stephen found himself part of the fleet, and this system, is the first one he visits. It's beautiful, impressive too, and it's a mild balm against the itch of wanting to go back home. But after a day or two of exploring, Stephen feels that it is high time to learn more about this system and its people, having come across many species he's never seen before.

And so for the first week or so, he can be found visiting any museum he comes across, on any of the planets that compose this system. He spends hours ready any notes attached to artifacts and art pieces, though he doesn't seem to take any notes of his own about his visits. If there are guided tours available in the museum, he avoids them, preferring to walk around the building on his own.

In the libraries he stops by, Strange reads all and any books available about this system, its culture and its history. When he's done with that, he often goes for the medical encyclopedia available, or at times the biography of important people for this place. Here again, he takes no notes, and when his body gets too tired, he simply sleeps there with his head on the table. Those that might find him like that might notice an opened book on the sit opposed to his sleeping body, the pages slowly turning from time to time, as if someone invisible is reading them.]



B. I'll take pop culture for 200$, Alex.

[Stephen's never exactly been much into sports in his life, even less into competing in one. As a young man, he was too busy studying for his MD and PhD, and later on, he was too busy making sure he was one of the best neurosurgeon (if not the best) in the world as well as making sure his research would be well worth remembered long after him. But if there is one thing he can not deny himself, it's a good knowledge challenge. And so when he learns that one of the many competitions in this system includes trivia and quizzes, he signs up for them, if only to fight the boredom (but really maybe just to stroke his ego a bit).

And of course, he excels at them. The few answers he doesn't get, he calls on a review of the decision (when possible) and can be seen smirking when the point is finally awarded to him. He doesn't choose a team to side with, but he might be persuaded with the right incentives.]


C. Down time, fun time.

[When Strange is not competing or studying this system, he can be found around shopping, mostly for medical supplies when they are available, and native herbs. There's not a team color he seems to favor, obviously going for what's practical more than what's aesthetical.

He visits the beach as well, mostly early in the mornings to jog around the deserted sandy banks, or late in the day, where he often meditates after watching the sunset. And yes, he might be floating in midair while doing so.]

[ The weather is nice, particularly near the shores of the beach. Early in the morning as the sun is starting to rise is the perfect place for a run, and it seems like he isn't the only one with that idea. As he jogs along the waterline, he comes up on someone else, probably a little more quickly than they're used to. ]

1. It's a Piece of Cake to Bake a Pretty Cake (Taste testing on the Iskaulit, semi-open)

[ Carol had no intention of joining a team, much less competing in anything. Until she overheard some Starstrikers and Waves gossiping, that is. The way they snickered at the handful of Gliders signing up for various competitions boiled her blood. She hadn't shown it, though. Just smiled and acted dumb and put her name down for The Great Yadrolla Bake Off.

Which is how she came to be in the Iskaulit kitchens, developing recipes for each of the rounds. There was no way she was going to do this planetside. She needed to stay as dark a horse as possible. Anybody signed up for any team other than the Gliders was not allowed to taste test. Only Gliders or unaffiliated fleet members.

She pauses in beating egg whites for a meringue. ]

2. You Know You Can't Be Lazy (Hunting)

[ This is a two-for-one. She's not much for hunting with melee weapons. But what she needs is a wild boar, and spear hunting is a good way to do that. She skulks through the forest, following what she thinks is the trail of the boar and keeping downwind as best as she can. Her spear green and gold, which isn't the best for hunting but at least isn't as obvious as some of the other team colors.

This is a twofer as well. If she bags an impressive enough boar, it should rack up some points for the Gliders.

She notices somebody else in the underbrush. Is it a teammate, or competition?]

3. You Gotta Do the Cooking by the Book (Cooking Competition)

[ It's go time. Carol stands with at her baking station in her green and gold apron, shoulders straight and chin up. She is by far the darkest horse in the competition, a result of her very careful planning. The first round is biscuits, which she could do in her sleep. She doesn't let that show on her face, though. Not until they finish announcing the competitors. She glances up at her teammate and flashes a grin, the first hint of cocky mischief she's let show. ]

Just do exactly what I tell you to do. We're going to wipe the floor with them.

4. You Know You Can't be Lazy (Wildcard!)

[Strange has no interest in joining a team; when he competes in trivia and quizzes, he does as an unaffiliated participant, if only to crush the competition completely. It's a nice stroke of the ego, but he gets tired of the many attempts of recruitment from all four teams. And so at times, he does back to the Goldstone, but even there, his crew mates seem fervent in having him join their team. That's how he finds himself on the Iskaulit, surveying the open kitchen's cupboards for something to make coffee with. He can't always live on tea after all.

He didn't really pay attention at the woman fervently cooking a few yards away, and only looks at her once she hails him, not having caught her question:]

[ One very simple fact about Han Solo: he loves to race. Ideally, he'd be racing in his own, perfect, fine-tuned spaceship, but sometimes, he knows, you gotta take what you can get. He's not picky.

Wherever there's a race event? Chances are he's there, either as a loner or lurking around the edges of the Starstrikers crowd, once he realizes it's pretty hard to take every leg of a relay. He'll race anything he can figure out how to ride-- cars, hovercraft, bikes, once or twice even riding animals, though he decides it's really not his thing. (Meaning, he doesn't even place. What a waste.)

Catch him waiting for his turn, or congratulate him in the winners' circle (or, just as often, wish him better luck next time), or maybe go head to head with the guy who made the Kessel run in under twelve parsecs. ]

[ Actually, Han doesn't love gambling, not like he does racing. But he dabbles. More than dabbles. As soon as he picks up the rules of card games he's happy to be dealt in, though his bets are relatively modest.

It's not that he's shy-- he just hasn't seen any pots worth much risk. ]

[ And in between these worthy pursuits, Han... doesn't so much sight-see, but he gravitates toward the touristy areas because they mean cheap street food. And though he's totally fine with peanut-butter cinnamon chicken cubes, Han isn't going to pass up a chance for something deep-fried and smothered with alien cheese. ]

→ A - Enjoying big open spaces | Tropical | Various times ←

[The SS Iskaulit was nice and all, but it was still winding halls where streets should be and rooms where buildings should be. The Bull was getting used to it...slowly, but that didn't mean he was enjoying it. Add to that his bunk on the Heron didn't quite accommodate his bulk, and he practically jumped at the chance to visit a planet. Stepping foot on this particular rock marked the first time he'd ever been on a world that wasn't his own and the idea was having an odd effect on the Iron Bull. He wasn't usually quiet or introspective, but he found himself on a nature trail of all places, having let his feet lead him more than anything else. Dense vegetation pressed in against the modern walkway on all sides, and the sounds of nature were all around. He even heard a troop of monkeys off in the distance, using their calls to navigate roughly south, if he was listening right.

It was really the first time he'd taken the chance to really think about everything. He'd grown up in a place like this, but Par Vollen was lost to him. After everything he'd done, how devoted he'd been, one choice had labeled him an outsider, Tal-Vashoth. His soul was dust, and he was still working on what that'd meant. On Thedas, he'd had the Chargers, the men and women he'd thrown all he was away for, he'd had the Inquisition, He'd had Brionne Trevelyan who was a damned good boss, and he'd had saving the world. Here had had more faces who knew him than the other way around, he had shit shoved in his head, he had...a job. He had that. He had one face he actually knew. He had a routine, even if it was a damned shitty one.

He took a deep breath and a vibrant flower caught his eye, bringing a smile to his lips, and maybe by the look of it, a fond memory. He'll even comment if someone happens to be nearby, as he reaches out and plucks it from its stem, reaching up to tuck it into the strap of his eye patch.]

It's a Dahlia. They grow all over the place on Par Vollen. [He rolls his shoulder in a shrug. It smells like his Tama, she'd always liked them, and nobody gets to judge that.] It's awesome to find them here. They're pretty.

[The nature trails were nice and all, but the feelings were uncomfortable and they really made him want to hit something. He'd been hearing about all the sports teams, and competitions that were as varied as the people around here, and the people with the Fleet. The teams themselves were weird, but he ultimately chose to represent the Gliders, because those guys needed a secret weapon, and if there was one thing Bull was good for, it was being cheered on to kick an ass...or you know, wrestle, or whatever. Instead of immediately jumping on the bandwagon of getting into sports, and looking to actually enjoy the warm weather on this planet, and the smell of salt air, and to figure out exactly what a "tourist" was, he found his way to one of the beaches. Distracted from the beach itself by all the weird shops around, he found himself a shirt, a button down that didn't actually need to be buttoned in this heat (and left himself open for inspection which was always welcome) in a print that represented his team, because the Bull's a team player like that,a pair of shorts since he was a "tourist" and that's apparently how they dressed, and a cute little pink drink in a weird glass because that's all they were selling at the little cabana on the way to the beach. It was good, though. It had banana in it, which was awesome.

He made his way down to the beach after that, just reclining in the sand and enjoying the view...whether that was the horizon, or all the bodies in scant clothing, splashing each other in the waves or building sandcastles, or you know, whatever. It's all of the above. He always welcomes company, of course, wither it's at a beach shop looking at clothing, at the bar getting booze (or refills), or down at the beach, or anywhere in between. Even if he's "blending" as a tourist, at 7.5 feet and with horns like that, he sort of sticks out.]

[ Of all the places he could have started at, Carl goes for the setting that reminds him of home the most. Not their current home, but back in Georgia, where the weather was hot and humid most of the year, and palm trees could be found if you looked in the right places. He walks along the path at a slower pace, just enjoying the quiet by himself and the sounds of birds up in the trees. No sound of walkers groaning in the foliage, nor any other indications of people nearby. It's peaceful, for once.

The further along he gets, he happens to run into the Iron Bull. Carl forgot how big he was, and it's startling enough that his hand reaches briefly to the knife strapped to his leg before he remembers himself. A knee-jerk reaction to the unexpected. He should have gotten used to that by now, but habits hard-learned are the worst to get rid of.

He offers The Iron Bull a smile, which broadens as he tucks it into his eye patch. It's a sight to behold. ]

I don't think I've ever seen one before. I dunno.. I'm kinda bad with plants and flowers.

Morgan | OTA

[Morgan isn't much for competitiveness, as much as he enjoys the joy of participating in a competition. There's not much here he feels comfortable with; he's not particularly great at sports, and can only barely manage the arts. That doesn't mean he can't join in, though! He's happy to play support.]

[He'll cheer on everybody he recognizes, regardless of whether or not they're wearing the same team colors he is or not. When he can, he'll also supply tactical advice. He might not be good at playing sports, but he can definitely point out the other team's weaknesses.]

[Board Games]

[Morgan isn't very competitive, with one exception. Strategy is something he takes very seriously, and he'll take any opportunity that he can to improve. The board game room is like a dream to him.]

[He darts around the different games, but spends most of his time around the chess table. Morgan is happy to take on any and all opponents. If somebody doesn't know how to play, he'll happily teach them, and if somebody is looking to get better, he'll give them advice.]

[Be warned, though. He's giving it his all, and if somebody seems like a challenging opponent, he's going to pull out all the stops. This is what he lives for.]

[She's tactical support on her ship. She should at least have a better understanding of what it actually entails. And she's not above taking lessons from her baby brother.]

[Manji didn’t care much about sports so all the people shouting and cheering on their teams didn’t impress him much. At least the food around here wasn’t as bad as the free food on the ships.

While in his wandering he’s come across what some would call a not so great part of town. He notices that part, but what he doesn’t pick up on is how much blue is around here.]

Hey! Starloser. [Manji at first tries to ignore the man trying to antagonize him, but that becomes impossible when the man stands in the samurai’s way.] I think you’ve gotten yourself a bit lost haven’t you? Lucky for you I have some directions I’m willing to sell ya. All you need to do is give me your wallet and I’ll show you the safe way home.

[Manji just grins. It’s cute that this guy thinks he can intimidate him.] No thanks. I think I’ll be just fine on my own.

I don’t think you understand, Striker. [As the man mistakes Manji’s black and white kimono he always wears as support for the Starstrike team.] You’re not really getting a choice. [He pulls out a gun and is a bit surprised that this one armed man he pegged as being an easy mark isn’t acting more concerned over the gun.]

Look. I don’t give a rat’s ass about those Starstrike guys. Get out of my way if you don’t want to get hurt. [Manji lays his arm on the katana he’s bought. Yes, he’s willing to bring a sword to a gunfight.

What happens next?]

[The fight is over and now Manji has himself a new weapon to play with. He doesn’t care that the gun is a rather gaudy looking blue colour. The point is it’s his now! How did he see that guy carrying it? In his waist belt? He gives that a try and accidentally hits the trigger as he does so. There’s a loud bang and suddenly there’s a bleeding hole in his foot.] OW!

The line on the other end goes taut immediately afterward, and the enterprising sports fan is yanked straight into the air with a yelp. Before he knows it, he's suspended from the base of one of the district's pro-Waves flagpoles, and the culprit in slightly friendlier colors jumps of to squat down against the wall to address him.]

I took a right when I shoulda taken a left back in Albuquerque, and-

[Yeah almost none of that's going to translate, now that he's said it out loud, he's sure of it.]

[For about as long as it'll take him to contact whatever passes for law enforcement in this neck of the galaxy, anyway. The webbing should hold out 'til then. Sporty stick-up artist dealt with, the red 'n blue costumed interloper will go ahead and just drop down the last twenty feet or so to check on the...guy in the kimono? The heck?]

[A. Researching and Working]

[What a busy, loud, system. At first, Haggar is ready to initiate her research, trying to stick to visiting the libraries and museums to see what they might tell of any potential history or connections to the Fleet.

Being a blue woman in an orangey world sticks out though, so rather than get pestered yet again about her "cool makeup job", for some of the time, she might be found to have used her ability to shapeshift just enough to blend in to make the attempt to continue her inquiries. And... well, a little part time work at a Museum helps when one realizes that obtaining money for resources is important, so she begrudgingly familiarizes herself with the materials, as non useful as they are to what she actually was looking for, so she can explain it if needed. Which... she's actually not bad at, who knew.

She had planned on ignoring the "teams" entirely, but given her purple robes, Brightbird fans have been seen trying to get her to sign up with them ever so often, or to take her picture, whenever they've had a chance to get close enough. Which is something she was entirely unprepared to deal with. How does one people this up close. Her unimpressed expressions just seem to make them more interested in following her around. She hasn't quite realized the benefits of such a connection yet.

... Someone help her?]


[B. What is a Vacation]

[Frankly she'd rather be back on the ship, but there's something... oddly compelling, somehow, about seeing a new planet and exploring the surface for herself.

So when she needs those times to recharge after researching and dealing with so many people, she can be found in the snow area, which she had taken a liking to given how often she frequents the Iskaulit's snow fox park and simply chills there. However on the planet, she's mostly just looking for quiet places to ... well. Stare a while at the snow and regain some sort of calm after all the run-ins with the native population. Also, there are hot springs, which draw her curiosity if only for the change in scenery.

Granted, she'll check out some of the other areas too, more briefly, but isn't likely to hang around them for long, if they're too crowded. She does, however, find a semi-isolated point on the beach to ... stand and stare at the waves for a while, having shifted some of the sand aside to make a small hexagon shaped depression for her to stand in the middle of.]

[Vash has gotten pretty good at reading people; not that he would really need to be good at it to see that Haggar was not liking the way she was being crowded by the current couple asking her for a photo. So Vash does what any normal person would do and he walks up behind the pair to drape his arms around their necks in a friendly manner. With a big smile on his face, the long stripe of purple dyed into his hair, and his normal bright red jumper he fit right in with the other brightbirds.]

Hey guys! [Had he ever met these people before? He sure hadn't! But he'll chat like he's great friends with them.] There is a Starstriker guy over on Amherst Street asking about getting some more colour in his life. Do you think you could help him out? I don't know the best shops that are around here!

[There is no Starstriker on Amherst street. Or, well, there could be, but Vash hasn't actually been on that street yet today. He's just hoping naming off a street close by with some fun shops would be tempting enough for the people hassling Haggar to go check.]

[A : ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED???]

[Finally a system with some culture- gladiatorial games were totally a thing and Looma was quick to sign up. Fights weren't to the death, but honestly that wasn't new to Looma- Khoros had these things too, she'd even beaten up one of the more famous warriors- though she did tend to play a little rougher than most. Still, she was always careful to leave her opponents alive, if with skeletons or carapaces in considerably more pieces than when they entered the arena.

Naturally she's signed on for the Starstrikers, and they're fielding her regularly- sometimes alone, sometimes with partners for larger fights. Buuuuut definitely whenever they want to be extra sure of victory. Because the opponents quick enough to get out of the way every time she smashes the ground and sends slabs of stone jutting up out of the resulting fissure usually end up getting punched, thrown, or otherwise hammered through the debris for good measure.

Unsurprisingly, after regularly brutally pummeling her opponents into a nigh unrecognizable mess with her fists, her hammer, or (on at least two occasions) with other opponents, she's managed to become quite the team celebrity for this particular sport. Contrary to any sort of survival instinct though, catching her emerging from the arena after a match is easily the safest time to approach her- it turns out beating people up while the crowd cheers her on gets the four-armed battle princess in a really good mood. Go figure! Feel free to congratulate her, vow your team will win the day next time, or just generally take the chance to spend time with the Princess while she's positively jovial.]


[B: BUY SOMETHING WITH YOUR FACE ON IT!!!]

[To her credit no one can say Looma does not have team spirit. In fact, she has so much team spirit that a not-insignificant portion of her winnings are regularly blown on buying up team merchandise. Of her team, duh.

So it's not uncommon to catch her wandering around with shopping bags full of Starstrikers merchandise, and actively hurrying over to examine even more. And sometimes those are things with her face on them.]

OH! I HAVE MY OWN COLLECTIBLE!

[...it's basically just a trading card, and despite the way she's beaming proudly at it and treating it with the utmost reverence, there are literally thousands upon thousands of them. Available in most shops. Alongside the countless other cheap memorabilia for literally every other person for every team. But do you really have the heart to tell her that? Do you?!]


[C: BANNED FROM BEACH VOLLEYBALL]

[Okay she'd definitely initially gone to the beaches for relaxation and a little swimming- it's even better exercise when you're literally so dense and heavy you have to put in work just to stay above the surface. She even picked up an Official Starstrikers Licensed Two Piece (which is apparently a thing- a thing that had to be creatively altered for somebody with her size and extra arms, since a traditional halter doesn't work when you've got a second set of shoulders in the way)! But the Official Sport of Beaches always called to her before long.

And after destroying a few balls by spiking them over the net with a little too much enthusiasm, and maybe giving the occasional player a giant welt that's definitely gonna bruise (and badly), it's usually about ten minutes tops before absolutely no one is letting her join their games. So it's back to Plan A: relaxing or swimming.

And maybe angrily sulking at the volley-ban. As per usual, none of this utter misfortune is in any way tied to her own actions, so she clearly can't be held accountable for any of it.]


[D: WILD CARD]

[She's gonna be pretty busy in this system, so expect to see her just about anywhere. Anywhere except the colder places. Because who even likes those except that one guy proposing to her, maybe huh?

Her favorite stops are usually the desert locales, but it's not far fetched to see her on the other, warmer planets or moons as well! Among the more mundane possibilities: when not shopping for things with her face / her teammate's faces on them, she's also shopping for supplies. Because she wants for her and her crew to go as long as possible without having to resort to eating the protein goo, okay? And they go through a lot of food.]

[Sokka is absolutely not here to battle. He's done that already and he needs some time to heal from his injuries and reassess his battle plans. He also isn't here to support the Starstrikers, because screw those guys, he's a Waves guy through and through.

But he IS here to support Looma. He'd also struggle to admit it, but a part of him is worried one of these fools will actually beat her. Not that he's jealous or anything. Because he's not, obviously. And he knows it has to be all official-like. But still, he'll watch and cheer when she wins- because of course she wins. She's Looma Goddamn Red Wind.

After the battles are done, he'll head over to her with a smile and a wave. ]

I think that last guy actually cried as he was taken away.

A. Shopping

[Velvet likes that this planet has more trees and such than some of the other bustling metropolis type planets she's seen since joining the fleet. However, she is completely unimpressed with all this team bullshit. When browsing the shops she checks out the weapons first, of course. But she quickly rejects them because they seem less like weapons and more like souvenirs.

She decides to check out cooking and cleaning supplies next. If she thought they couldn't turn pots and pans or mops and brooms into team memorabilia she was sadly mistaken. She's staring a display of purple and red frying pans and sighing.]

Are they serious?


B. Sketchy business

[She gets bored with the shopping pretty quickly and decides to focus on earning money rather than spending it. Since she has no interest in competing, commentating or marketing, and she has no talent for selling things, she looks for security jobs. She ends up taking occasional jobs for an underground gambling ring of sorts. You might find her breaking up fights or throwing people out for cheating. Or maybe you're the one she tossed out.]

[ It's hard not to go straight for the weapons, but everything on the planet has been severely disappointing. Disappointing and strangely team-based. Having a few days to take a breath and get acclimated to their new surroundings does everyone a world of favors. It puts everyone in a better mood, himself included.

He's on the hunt for some spare parts for the ship when he spots Velvet, giving some cook wear the stink eye. ]

Maybe they just really want to support their team in every part of their life?
